When Shinichi was transformed into Conan by the APTX, the first person he turned to for help was Professor Agasa. As Professor Agasa was blown out of the house by the blast, Conan desperately explained to him that he was Shinichi. Professor Agasa thought he was a relative of Shinichi and was about to take him to the police because he thought he was suspicious, but after hearing Conan's deductions he became convinced it was Shinichi.

When it came to Conan, Professor Agasa was suspicious and wanted to turn him in to the police, but when it came to the second person in the same situation, he got used to it! He happened to find Haibara collapsed on the street, brought her home, and after hearing the reason, they ended up living together. Incidentally, the name "Haibara Ai" is a pseudonym thought up by Professor Agasa and Haibara together.
Feature #2: Professor Agasa is active in areas other than invention

Conan sometimes mocks Professor Agasa for calling himself a genius and only making junk, but upon closer inspection, many of his inventions are genius-level and have considerable influence in the gaming industry. In the film "The Phantom of Baker Street," he was tasked with final inspection of the new generation game consoles.

Professor Agasa lives next door to Shinichi. Shinichi's house is also incredibly luxurious, but since it's next door, Professor Agasa's house is also quite luxurious. Professor Agasa comes up with new inventions in a very short period of time. As Conan said, there seems to be a lot of junk, but there are also many profitable inventions.

Bald head and white beard. Professor Agasa, whose remaining hair and eyebrows are all gray, refers to himself as "I" ("washi") and gives the impression of being an old man, but he's actually not that old - only 52-53 years old! Still in the prime of his working life.

Ten years ago (at age 42), Professor Agasa was still young. He had lush hair, a jet-black beard, and jet-black eyebrows. What exactly happened in those 10 years? Incidentally, in the movie, when a machine was used to see what Professor Agasa would look like 10 years in the future, he still looked the same as he did at 52 years old.

Professor Agasa invents many items that provide powerful support to Conan, from solving deductions on Kogoro's behalf to tracking down escaped enemies. He's also invented many items that are convenient for Conan. The watch-shaped tranquilizer gun seems a bit shady, but perhaps he's a genius after all?

When you think of Detective Conan, you think of the bow tie-shaped voice changer! And equally important is the wristwatch-shaped tranquilizer gun. Using these two items, he puts Kogoro to sleep and solves mysteries. He has also invented items that hit the spot, such as kick-boosting shoes that have been used many times to capture criminals, and turbocharged skateboards that allow him to corner criminals.
Characteristic #5: Terrible at Deductive Reasoning

If Kogoro is not present when a case occurs, Conan will sometimes ask Professor Agasa to take his place. At those times, Professor Agasa lip-syncs while Conan makes the deductions, but sometimes he gets carried away and makes up his own deductions...and then Professor Agasa makes a completely off-base deduction that would put Kogoro to shame, and he is quickly taken out of the picture.

When Conan uses Kogoro to deduce something, he puts him to sleep with a watch-shaped tranquilizer gun, but when he uses Professor Agasa, he lip-syncs as mentioned above. Of course, Professor Agasa sometimes shows signs of panic and improvisation, but his lip-syncing is so perfect it's like a ventriloquist. Even people right in front of him don't notice.

Professor Agasa = "That Person" Theory... Detective Conan fans have probably heard it at least once. The main reason is that there is a cocktail called "Aunt Agatha." The author has stated that it appears in the first 53 volumes of the manga, so Professor Agasa fits the bill in that respect as well.
Professor Agasa isn't that person? The author denies it.

A while after rumors began circulating that Professor Agasa was "that person," the author commented, "It's not Professor Agasa (lol)," sparking further discussion. Is it really Professor Agasa, or was this just a way to confuse the rumors? Other than the fact that his name has appeared up until volume 53, his true identity remains a mystery.

In the anime, Professor Agasa appears to have lived a peaceful life, never having encountered the police. Professor Agasa lives in a luxurious mansion, creating countless genius inventions. However, he also demonstrates his caring nature by often providing his children with his car and acting as their guardian when they go on trips. The Beetle has been Professor Agasa's trademark car since the very beginning of the anime! Its flashy yellow body makes a strong impression. The Beetle is a classic Volkswagen car. Professor Agasa, who continues to drive the Type 1, likely has a strong attachment to it. However, the interior isn't particularly spacious, so it might be a bit cramped once the children grow up.
