Conan and his friends have solved countless cases in the anime's more than 900 episodes. These cases range from silly ones that make you feel a little down, to many carefully thought-out difficult cases. This time, we'll be ranking the best deductions from those cases, including not only Conan but other characters too!
10th place: The truth about Valentine's Day
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
10th place is this case that was broadcast from episodes 266 to 268. The key people in this case were Jiro and Saburo, the dogs who were guarding the grave. He discovered that what was thought to be one dog was actually two, and that they were disaster rescue dogs. However, he was cornered by a criminal with a gun, and at the very last moment it seemed that the criminal had the upper hand... but then the world's strongest man appeared, and with a combined attack from him and Ran, the criminal suffered a tragic fate.
No. 9: The Adventures of Young Kudo Shinichi
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
No. 9 is a quiz-like mystery-solving story that was broadcast in episodes 472-473, in which Shinichi talks about his childhood. Elementary school children solve the mystery with their teacher... but it's not an easy mystery for children. After all, the quiz was about Yusaku Kudo and the original Kaitou Kid! You can enjoy not only the deductions but also stories from the past.
8th place: The Scarlet Truth
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
8th place is this episode from episode 783, where Okiya Subaru and Amuro Toru, who have a lot of fans, appear! With perfect deduction, Amuro realizes that Okiya Subaru is Akai Shuichi, and when he shows up at his house, he confidently presents his deduction and demands that he reveal his true identity. However, Conan had already deduced that this would happen. Conan gets his father, Yusaku, to disguise himself as Okiya Subaru instead of Akai, and skillfully avoids Amuro's suspicions.
7th place Emergency 252

7th place goes to the detective boys' united deduction that aired in episodes 622-623 to challenge the culprit! In a desperate situation where Conan and Haibara have been captured and gagged by the culprit, Conan lightly taps his detective agency badge on the floor to signal the other members hiding in the lockers. What's amazing about this episode is without a doubt the first graders, Mitsuhiko and his friends. They realize it's a call code for the Tokyo Fire Department and follow Conan's instructions.
6th place: Kaitou Kid vs. Kyougoku Makoto
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
6th place is not the detective who was active in episode 746, but the slightly unusual brilliant reasoning of Kyougoku Makoto, the world's strongest security system. Kyougoku Makoto's deductive skills allow him to see through Kaitou Kid's disguise, which is difficult for even the police and Conan to see through! Sonoko was hoping he'd say that the real him was cuter, but it turns out he sensed it was a fake after seeing the length of his ring finger.
5th place: Hattori Heiji vs Kudo Shinichi, a ski slope mystery showdown
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
5th place goes to this work from episode 490, where the two solve the same case before they became high school students! Although neither of them knew who the other was, they viewed each other as rivals and raced to get to the truth of the case first. In the end, both were too immature to get close to the truth, and they each received hints from their parents to arrive at the answer, making for a rare case of deduction.
4th place: Similar Princess
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
In 4th place is "Similar Princess," which aired in episodes 333-334. Instead of Conan or Kogoro, the duo of Shinichi's mother Yukiko and Ran's mother Eiri show off their deductive reasoning. Usually, the case ends with the solution, but in this episode, Eiri adds a lawyer-like "bonus" to end the case on a good note.
Third place: And the mermaid disappeared
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
Third place is the story of the mermaid legend that was broadcast from episodes 222 to 224! In this episode, you can enjoy a deductive battle between Conan and Heiji! Of course, that's not all that's interesting. The tricks used by the criminal and his true identity are a constant source of surprise! Keep an eye on the deductions of the two great detectives who uncover them!
Second place: The invisible suspect
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
Second place goes to "The invisible suspect" from episode 305 of the anime. In this episode, Kogoro shows off his sharp reasoning skills without a tranquilizer gun. Conan gives a few clues along the way, but beyond that, Kogoro uses his reasoning to unravel the relationship between the culprit and his childhood friend, something that even Conan could not have realized. This is one of the few memorable scenes in which Kogoro stays up all night smoking and working on his deductions.
Number 1: Flying Closed Room - Kudo Shinichi's First Case
Source: Detective Conan ©Gosho Aoyama/Shogakukan, Yomiuri TV, TMS
The number 1 pick is episode 162 of the anime! It's a story in which Shinichi deduces a murder case on an airplane! However, this is a story about a memory that Ran had in a dream. Shinichi, who had just become a high school student and was completely unknown, continues to solve the mystery while being scolded by Inspector Megure. At first, Shinichi was treated as a nuisance, but his accurate deductions overwhelm the police. Don't miss it.
A collection of great deductions for kids and adults!

When it comes to Detective Conan, Conan's brilliant deductions stand out, but looking back at it like this, everyone else besides Conan also shows their own deductive abilities. What I want to pay particular attention to is Mitsuhiko's deductive abilities that are beyond those of an elementary school student... he may become an incredible detective in the future.
