D4DJ is an anime and app game that depicts the activities of high school and college girls who are devoted to DJ activities. The first series of the anime version was broadcast in 2020, and the second series will be broadcast next year in 2023, which is a hot topic. A total of more than 20 characters appear in this anime. 5th place: Hidaka Saori
Ranked 5th is Hidaka Saori, a member of Merm4id. He has been a DJ since high school. He has a serious personality, but also has a negative side. He is a relatively sensible character, who often gets pushed around by the other members and makes comments. When it comes to food, he likes rare delicacies and retro things, and has even gone so far as to say that he wants to drink hot sake. Alcohol-related behavior is something that a high school student character would not be able to do, so in a way it could be said to be valuable.
4th place: Izumo Sakihime
Ranked in 4th place is Izumo Sakihime, a member of Photon Maiden. She is a brilliant student who is good at both studying and sports, but her most distinctive feature is that she has synesthesia, which allows her to sense colors from music. Being able to associate colors with music is somehow very romantic, or rather, a stylish ability. As the youngest member of the unit, she is loved by the other members as if they were the youngest child.
Third place: Onaruto Muni
Ranked third is Onaruto Muni, a member of Happy Around!. She is a petite high school girl with a bunny ear headband, and works online as an artist. She has a good sense of art, and she made some nice edits to the posters created by Rinku and Masumi. She also has some lack of confidence in herself, such as deleting negative comments about herself that were posted online, and she has even run away before a live performance. However, after being persuaded by her childhood friend Rinku, she began her DJ career in earnest.
Second place: Kyoko Yamate
Ranked second is Kyoko Yamate from Peaky P-key. She captivates the audience with her overwhelming charisma and musical sense. Kyoko, who comes from a musical family, was born with a sense of music. However, she is not complacent and is a very hard worker who is constantly training to improve her musical skills. She is interested in the difference between Rinku's musical style and her own, and has invited him to Peaky P-key's live shows. She usually makes slightly comical remarks and has a so-called natural airhead side. It's nice to see such a cool character with such a natural personality!
1st place: Inuyose Shinobu
Ranked in the honorable 1st place is Inuyose Shinobu, also from Peaky P-key, who ranked 2nd. She has had a buddy-like relationship with Kyoko since the formation of the unit, and they have been helping each other improve through their DJ activities. Since her grandfather was a member of a legendary DJ unit, Shinobu herself has been influenced by music since she was a child. Although he exudes a listless vibe, he has a strong passion for music and a playful and cute side, which I think is the reason for his popularity. Having a grandfather who is a DJ is quite an impactful profile. It is said that DJing started to become popular around 1970. Shinobu is a first-year high school student, so assuming that her grandfather, who has a 16-year-old grandson, is around 70 years old (born in 1950 or later), he may have been exposed to DJ culture around the age of 20 and wanted to become a DJ. Perhaps Shinobu's grandfather was a pioneer of Japanese DJs.
