Although Code Geass is centered around battles, it's comforting to see scenes of Lelouch's school life. This time, we'd like to introduce the main members of the student council (excluding those involved with Geass).
About Ashford Academy
Ashford Academy is a private school consisting of a middle school, high school, and university divisions located in Area 11, under the occupation of the Holy Britannian Empire. It is run by the Ashford family, a Britannian aristocrat. While most of the students are Britannian, the school is open to all, even Elevens.
Milley Ashford
She is the granddaughter of Ashford Academy's chairman and the tomboyish student council president. She comes up with a lot of silly events and messes around with everyone at school, but these are probably moments of relief for Lelouch and his friends amidst the daily grind of fighting. She is one of the people who knows that Lelouch and Nunnally were members of the royal family. In order to restore the Ashford family, she is engaged to Lloyd as a political marriage, but it seems that she secretly has feelings for Lelouch.
Rival Cardemonde
Rival is a playful guy. He has a motorcycle license and is a bad friend who often takes Lelouch for fun, often riding in the passenger seat. He also has a kind side, caring for the student council members. He has a crush on the student council president, Millei, but she doesn't pay him any attention. She's the only student council member who remains involved only in school life until the very end, but she's completely unrelated to the conflict. That's what's great about Rival. Apparently, she became student council president after Millay graduated.
Shirley Fenette
Lelouch's classmate, she has a straightforward and cheerful personality. She calls Lelouch "Lulu" and adores him. Shirley has always had a crush on Lelouch, but he seems completely unaware of this. She eventually finds out that he is Zero, but she trusts him to the end and never reveals her true identity. She is later killed by Rolo.
Nina Einstein
She is childhood friends with the student council president, Milley. She has a quiet personality and a plain appearance. She seems to have a complex about herself for this. She has a traumatic experience with Eleven and dislikes them. After being saved by Euphemia, she develops an abnormal obsession and admiration for her. Therefore, when Euphemia is murdered by Zero, she develops an intense hatred for him, and because she was originally skilled in science, her talent is discovered by Count Lloyd, who invites her to join Britannia's research team, and she leaves the academy to become involved in the development of the weapon of mass destruction, "Freya."
Ashford Academy Student Council Summary
While both seasons 1 and 2 include Geass and combat-related members of the student council, this time we've focused on other members. Even amidst the brutality of war, it's comforting to see scenes of everyday school life. There are plenty of fun events to take your mind off the fighting, and plenty of chuckles. I think it will be a lot of fun to see a different side of Lelouch and the others!
