"My Hero Academia," or "Hiroaka" for short, is a huge hit right now! This exhilarating story centers around the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, as he strives to survive in a superhuman society and become the greatest hero. While there are many unique professional heroes, we've carefully selected 10 of the most important! You're sure to find a hero you like.
When you think of Hiroaka, you think of this guy!
The "Symbol of Peace," All Might!
It goes without saying! All Might subdues villains with his very presence. He's a muscle-brained guy, so he can be a bit absent-minded at times, but that's what makes him so lovable.
His real name is Yagi Toshinori, and he has a perfectly muscular physique, which he calls "muscle form." He originally had a physique that matched his Quirk, but he was injured in a battle with All For One five years ago and underwent numerous surgeries, which left him frail. His active time was reduced to less than three hours, and he eventually retired from hero activities.
He has two hairs standing up at an angle in his bangs, a remnant of the time before he was called All Might, and they stand for "V" in the bangs, meaning "victory." He is always smiling, saying "HA-HA-HA!", and is well-known for his line, "I'm here!" His rugged Americana is also appealing. He is cheerful, generous, reliable, and wonderful! He is the number one hero in terms of both fighting power and popularity!
What is All Might's Quirk?
While his Quirk remains a mystery to the public, it's "One For All." While it's a simple muscle-boosting Quirk, its power is unparalleled. His impressive battle with a villain in his first appearance. While this Quirk is weak against liquid-type villains, his superior fighting power allowed him to easily capture them.
This Quirk can also be transferred, allowing the individual to "develop their power by transferring their Quirk to anyone they choose." It's a legacy passed down through the ages as a symbol of justice. This time, the successor is Izuku.
The way to pass it on is to "incorporate the genes." All Might fed Izuku his own hair. Even Izuku went crazy (lol).
This, along with his future exploits and strong bond with the protagonist, makes him one of the most important pro heroes!
Leader No. 1!?
Strictness is kindness...?
We can't leave this one out either! He's the homeroom teacher of protagonist Izuku Midoriya, and his real name is Shota Aizawa. His hero name is "Eraserhead." He's quite strict, immediately expelling anyone who doesn't have the potential to become a hero, but he'll provide thorough guidance if there's even the slightest possibility.
He's also very accurate in pointing out things to his students, something he's even better at than All Might. He fought hard to protect his students during the USJ raid and the school trip raid arcs. He's one of those reliable teachers who will take responsibility for anything, even if it means protecting his students, even if it's a violation. And he's a true hero teacher, always putting his own body on the line to protect them!
Dry eyes because of his Quirk?!
"I have dry eyes!" I proudly say this, but it's all because of my Quirk (lol). Mr. Aizawa's Quirk is "Erasure." It disables the use of any Quirk that comes into his field of vision. However, this only lasts until he blinks, which causes his eyes to dry out. That's why I always use eye drops after using my Quirk. All the students in Class A who I teach said it was a shame to waste such a cool Quirk (lol).
When he uses his Quirk, his hair stands on end and his eyes turn red. It's so cool! He's also highly athletic, using the cloth around his neck to restrain targets and then wiping them out with his Quirk. He can even use goggles to hide his line of sight, making him powerful against large numbers of people.
I always teach Izuku to "help people without getting hurt." At first, he was very All Might-like, thinking, "What kind of hero are you without putting yourself on the line?" But now he's changed that and is focusing on how to save people without getting hurt. Aizawa-sensei is also a very important character, after all!
A hero that even All Might trembles for?!
Izuku's second master?!
All Might's former homeroom teacher and mentor. He is one of the people who knows the secret of One For All. He is a close friend of Nana Shimura, All Might's master and the predecessor of One For All, and he trained All Might at her request. To achieve this, he obtained a hero qualification, even though he had no interest in it, and taught at U.A. High School for a year in order to train All Might.
Gran Torino's teaching method is practical training. When he first met Izuku, he acted foolish, saying things like, "I'm hungry," but when it came time to train him, his expression changed and he overwhelmed Izuku with his undiminished speed. His passionate teaching was so intense that it traumatized All Might (lol).
He's the only one who calls All Might "Toshinori," and after seeing Izuku's performance at the sports festival, he volunteered to train him, saying, "I'm not teaching him at all." Perhaps for the sake of his ally Shimura, he's willing to help out when it comes to One For All.
Not just an old man...?!
His first appearance scene is surprisingly bloody (lol). He's not dead, though. His occasional silly moments and trembling old-man vibes are adorable, but he also has excellent leadership skills. Gran Torino is the one who taught Deku how to control One For All. All Might taught me how to withstand One For All. I'm still not fully under his control, but without Gran Torino's guidance, I might have become unable to withstand his Quirk and become immobile by now.
Gran Torino's Quirk is "Jet." He uses the air he breathes to spray jets of air from nozzles on the soles of his feet. While high physical ability is essential, his jets allow him to teleport and attack, making them impossible to dodge. Combined with his experience, his combat abilities are also quite high.
Izuku will continue to teach him, and this will be a stepping stone for him to become the greatest hero!
The backbone of U.A. High School!
We couldn't fight without him!?
Once again, she's old, but still active. Her hero name is Recovery Girl, and her real name is Chiyo Shuzenji. With her rare healing Quirk, she's said to be the backbone of U.A. High School. She's a nursing teacher at U.A. High School, and she's also extremely busy, visiting hospitals all over the country. And because he's worked at U.A. High School for many years, his influence is on a par with that of the principal. He has a dignified presence. He has an injection in his head, his cane is also an injection, and his expression is gentle and soothing.
Recovery Girl is also one of the people who knows the secret of One For All. That's why when Izuku was seriously injured, she scolded All Might, saying, "This is not something to be praised for." That's how much she cares about Izuku.
He could die on the contrary!? A Quirk?
He possesses the "Healing" Quirk, which activates the target's healing powers and heals them while saying "Chiyuu." While the target's strong will is required for the Quirk to be activated (lol), this Quirk is essential and important in superhuman society. However, because the healing power is activated using the target's physical strength, prolonged severe illness can actually lead to death. This means that patients like Izuku are in a very dangerous situation.
He always gives sweets to those he heals to help them recover. Incidentally, the memory of using his Quirk is erased from the target's memory (lol).
He'll continue to be a warm presence, encouraging and encouraging me!
Now he's in the bitter end of being No. 1!?
The worst hero ever?
Endeavor, All Might's No. 2 hero during his time as a hero, is the father of Shoto Todoroki, a student in Class A at U.A. High School. His real name is Todoroki Enji, a fiery hero known for solving the most cases, but when he couldn't beat All Might and felt he had reached his limits, he married a woman with an ice quirk, and Shoto was born. It was all for the sole purpose of beating All Might. What an incredible obsession.
As a father, he was so passionate about training 5-year-old Shoto that he resorted to violence, which was horrible. He was also despicable, treating Shoto like an object, saying, "I created this child to one day surpass you." He's now reformed, his obsession with All Might has disappeared, and he's just become a doting father (lol). When he used his fire quirk for the first time at U.A. High School's sports festival, he screamed with joy and excitement, stunning the audience, and during vocational training, when Shoto was looking at his phone, he yelled, "Don't look at your phone! Look at me! Shoto!" and Shoto was all he could think about. It's hard to hate them after that.
They saw what they wanted to be...!
Endeavor, who always looked up to All Might, and Shoto, who hated his father and struggled to subjugate him, both remembered the heroes they aspired to be and began to "see themselves as the heroes they want to be."
His Quirk is "Hellflame," a fire-based Quirk that allows him to control powerful flames and is said to be the strongest on earth. Of course, he doesn't rely solely on his Quirk; his physical abilities are also incredible.
The reformed Endeavor has effectively become the No. 1 hero, and like All Might, he's sure to be an inspiration to Deku.
I'm Important Too!
Is he a rat, a dog, or a bear? And so, what is his true identity...?
The Principal of U.A. High School! His way of speaking is adorable, but he's also extremely worldly-minded, with an IQ of 79. He's a rare and unique animal with a Quirk. Because of this, he was bullied by humans in the past, and the trauma from that experience sometimes makes him laugh out loud and go crazy (lol).
He's one of the people who knows All Might's secret, and he served as principal when All Might was a student. When All Might became weak and began searching for a successor, it was he who encouraged him to become a teacher and search for a successor at U.A. High School.
What is his Quirk?
His Quirk is "High Spec." His superhuman intellect allows him to instantly calculate, predict, and adapt to any situation. During the final exam, he effortlessly mastered heavy machinery, even though it was his first time operating it, and used his calculations to cause a chain reaction of building destruction like dominoes, terrifying the students. Needless to say, he burst out laughing at that moment (lol).
He'll be one of the heroes who will continue to watch over the future of Izuku's "One For All" and provide him with cooperation and advice.
Are You Ready?
Is he the most excited?
Present Mic, nicknamed the "Voice Hero," is an English teacher at U.A. High School who also provides live commentary for entrance exams and the sports festival. His real name is Yamada Hizashi. He's a classmate of Eraserhead, Class A's homeroom teacher, and although they have contrasting personalities, they make a great pair. His unique appearance and personality have made him stand out ever since his first appearance (lol).
He always attends important meetings at U.A. High School, and his skills are so impressive that he's even called upon to participate in hero rallies. It was Present Mic who first suggested there was a traitor within his family. He's the type to speak his mind.
An absolute voice!?
His Quirk is "Voice," and his voice is amazing! The high notes are amazing! And the low notes are amazing! The device around his neck is a directional speaker, making his Quirk even more powerful. Kyoka Jiro from Class A calls it "a completely superior version." I never thought sound could be so destructive. He provided some impressive support by defeating villains as soon as he first appeared in the USJ raid arc.
He's also an indispensable teacher at U.A. High School. While he doesn't have much interaction with Deku, he's definitely an important character to remember for future developments!
Former All Might's sidekick!?
Typical Japanese?
Hero name: Sir Nighteye. Standing 2 meters tall, he has a 9:1 parted bangs with three gold lines, inverted triangle-shaped glasses, and a constantly furrowed brow. He runs his own hero agency. Like Izuku, he accepted an internship and was hoping to make Togata Mirio, a third-year student at U.A. High School whom he had trained, into All Might's successor (of course, he knows the secret of One For All).
Like Izuku, he was originally a big fan of All Might, and they worked together as sidekicks for five years. Then, after the battle with All For One in their sixth year, a conflict arose between Sir, who wanted All Might to retire, and All Might, who decided to continue being a hero, and they broke up as a duo. Sir begged All Might to retire out of concern for All Might.
And finally...
Sir Nighteye's Quirk is "Precognition." By touching and making eye contact with an object, he can see the object's future actions for one hour. He used this Quirk to see All Might's future and beg him to retire from being a hero.
He then lost his life in a battle with the Shie Hassaikai, a group of so-called yakuza. Finally, he placed his hand on Mirio's cheek as he sobbed, saying, "It's okay. You'll become a better hero than anyone else." At the end, Sir saw Mirio's future and said, "You are already," not "You will become." His time was rather short, but he was a very memorable pro hero.
Although he is no longer with us, he predicted that "All Might will meet a tragic death." Deku is well aware of this, and it will surely cross his mind at every opportunity. Will Sir's prediction come true? Stay tuned!
A hero like this?!
A true Kansai hero?
This is Fat Gum, nicknamed Fat. He appeared as a hero at the hero internship of Class A's Kirishima Eijiro. He likes to eat takoyaki on the griddle (lol). His real name is Toyomitsu Taishiro, and he's a professional hero active in the Kansai region.
His costume is a yellow hoodie with the hood always up. He wears a black mask over his eyes and also has a supporter. He's a militant hero who used to work with the police to arrest villains. He has a cute, chubby appearance. This Fat Gum has another appearance!
The same person!?
Who is this handsome guy?! Yes, it's FatGum, committed to results (lol). His Quirk is "Fat Absorption." His body can absorb and sink anything! Totoro!!
When he's plump, he's just a lump of fat. He uses his physique to capture villains, suffocate them, or knock them unconscious. He captured them in an instant, as if to say, "The key to defeating a villain is to make them lose their will to fight as quickly as possible!"
Also, when attacked, he can absorb and suppress the attack, storing it within his body. He can then release it all at once and hit the target, delivering a devastating blow. In exchange, while enduring the target's attack, his own fat is burned, resulting in the handsome guy above! It's the best! (lol)
He's a pro hero who was called upon during the Shie Hassaikai incident. He'll surely be on hand if something happens in the future. We have high hopes for this pro hero's future exploits!
Here it comes, here it comes!?
"Today marks my debut.
"My name is Mt. Lady (Mount Lady). Please look after me from now on!" She's been appearing frequently since her first appearance. Her real name is Yu Takeyama. Her popularity is undoubtedly due to her beautiful looks. And I predict she'll be one of those who will be active in the future!
She's just become a pro hero and has a bit of a flawed personality, but she's steadily and proactively working on her projects. At first, she was in charge of security for U.A. High School's sports festival, but now her efforts have paid off and she's been asked to take on bigger projects and has teamed up with Edgeshot, who is number 5 on the hero rankings, and she's starting to stand out.
〇 An Ultraman-like hero?
Mt. Lady's Quirk is "Giant Growth." Originally, she's 162 cm tall, but when she uses her Quirk, she grows to 2062 cm, about 13 times her original height. That's about 19 meters! Although his Quirk is quite powerful, he can only fight on roads with at least two lanes of road, and even a slight fall destroys buildings and roads, so the cost of the damage doesn't seem to benefit his life at all. He has to pay for it himself (lol).
I expect he'll be making frequent appearances in the future. I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets involved!
