"Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest" features a variety of races, from humans to dragon-kin. When Hajime and his friends are transported to another world, they acquire various powers as their callings. Some acquire abilities specialized in offense, others in defense. Others even acquire powers that have a significant impact on the world outside of combat. This time, we'll be introducing a ranking of the most influential powers in the other world.

10th Place: Suzu Taniguchi

Suzu Taniguchi

In 10th place is Suzu Taniguchi, a barrier master who is also the key to defense. She uses the ability "Sacred Severance" and primarily plays a support role in the hero's party. There are several types of Sacred Slashes, including barriers that protect the player and allies, trapping opponents and crushing them with gravity, and offensive barriers that explode targets that touch them. In the anime, she casts multiple barriers to block attacks, or a wide-area defensive barrier to protect all allies from external attacks. While she lacks physical defensive power, she is a tenacious character, and can use Sacred Slashes even when damaged.

9th Place: Kaori Shirasaki

Kaori Shirasaki

In 9th place is Kaori Shirosaki, a healing specialist. Her healing range is extremely wide, and she is adept at using healing magic on multiple allies at the same time. She can also use powerful healing magic on a single target, and was able to revive the dying Suzu. Her highest level healing magic can heal allies within a 500m radius, giving her extraordinary healing abilities. She can not only heal stamina, but also magical power. She can also use magic to transfer magical power, and can not only transfer her own magical power to others, but also magical power from one person to another. She is truly a character who can be called a healing specialist.

8th Place: Meld Loggins

Meld

Our pick for 8th place goes to Meld, the commander of the Knights of the Kingdom of Heiligh. Before Hajime and his friends were teleported, he was considered the strongest in the kingdom. He doesn't have any particularly outstanding special moves, and while he has high combat abilities, he's a reckless, muscle-brained type. In the battle against the demons, he vowed to show his knightly pride until the very end in order to protect the children, but he was fatally stabbed in the back by Cattleya. While she may seem inferior to Hajime and the others who fight using their natural abilities, I believe she's still quite strong without any special abilities.

7th Place: Shizuku Yaegashi

Shizuku

Our seventh choice is the swordsman Shizuku Yaegashi. Even before becoming a swordsman in this world, she practiced the ancient martial art of "Yaegashi-ryu" at home, and her sword skills were nationally ranked. (Incidentally, her talent blossomed at the age of four.) Even after becoming a swordsman, she continues to use the Yaegashi-ryu sword-drawing technique to fight enemies on the front lines. He doesn't typically fight with his sword unsheathed, but rather specializes in unsheathing techniques, so he keeps his sword in its sheath. He's not the type to overpower with sheer power, but rather demonstrates his skill through the speed with which he unsheathes his sword. He also demonstrates dexterity, such as slashing enemies with his eyes closed. He was already quite strong with a regular sword, but after receiving the "black sword" from Hajime, his speed and sharpness increased even further. In the first season of the anime, it was merely a "light and sharp sword," but the black sword's capabilities will be fully realized in the future.

6th Place: Kouki Amanogawa

Kouki

In sixth place is the hero Kouki Amanogawa. He is a somewhat forceful hero who is inflexible once he has made up his mind about something, but his abilities are undeniable. Shizuku fights based on the Yaegashi style that she originally used, while Kouki fights using the powers he gained in the other world. (Since he has also mastered Yaegashi style swordsmanship, he sometimes uses that style in battle.) His main weapon is the sword, but he is not just good at slashing; he is also good at attacking by firing slashes of light. Although "Breaking Through Limits" is extremely draining, it unleashes tremendous power, and even overwhelmed Cattleya. However, he can also let his anger get the better of him and break through his limits, and when he does so, he goes ahead despite Shizuku warning him that his body cannot take it, which can make him use his limit in a dangerous way.

5th Place: Shia Haulia

Shia

In fifth place is the unfortunate rabbit Shia Haulia. She's slender except for her chest and doesn't seem particularly powerful, but she has the most powerful fighting style in the series, firing missiles in rapid succession and swinging around a giant hammer-shaped artifact called "Dryukken" (a large hammer). Shia usually has a goofy expression, but during battle, she raises her eyebrows and looks a little evil. Her fighting style is completely muscle-brained and straightforward: smash the enemy with a hammer! This is Shia's basic fighting style. Her defenses are also exceptionally strong, and she can withstand even the most minor attacks, even with her bare body. With sheer determination, she can withstand explosive slugs with only minor injuries. While she cannot fire them repeatedly due to the high consumption of magical energy, she has the special ability to see "hypothetical futures."

4th Place: Aiko Hatayama

Aiko Hatayama

In fourth place is Aiko Hatayama, also known as "Little Teacher." Aiko-sensei was chosen for her special abilities, not her combat prowess. Upon being transported, she acquires the rare vocation of "farmer," a skill so powerful it transforms the world's food supply, earning her the nickname "Goddess of Fertility." Her ability promotes the growth of all kinds of crops. While she cannot contribute to the world through fighting, her vocation contributes even more to the other world in some ways. She is sometimes seen as more of a nuisance than the hero by rival demons, who often try to assassinate her.

Third Place: Tio Klarus

Tio

Our third choice is the perverted dragon Tio Klarus. When he first appears before Hajime and his friends in the form of a black dragon, he is brainwashed into fighting them. There, he was shot in the buttocks by a pile bunker, awakening his masochistic tendencies. As a member of the dragon race, he acts in human form after joining the group. Even in human form, his strength is immense, and although his magical power is inferior to Yue's, having lived for over 500 years, his skill in using magic is just as impressive. He unleashes a sinister purple magical power, annihilating a wide range of enemies in one go. He then creates a tornado, wiping out a large number of enemies. In the final episode of the first season, during his battle with Cattleya, there is a scene where he holds Mew in his arms and easily fends off attacks.

Second Place: Yue

Yue

Our second place pick is Yue, the main heroine and Hajime's legal wife. A member of the 300-year-old vampire tribe, she wields the unique magic of mana manipulation and auto-regeneration, and was considered one of the most powerful vampires of her time. She later ascended to the throne of the vampire tribe at the age of 17, but was sealed away until Hajime discovered her... She possesses an incredible amount of magical power and is capable of casting powerful spells in rapid succession. One of the most spectacular spells in the first season of the anime was her attack spell, "Thunder Dragon," which sweeps away enemies with lightning in the shape of a giant dragon. Yue creates various original spells using compound magic, and this thunder dragon is one of her original creations. In the final episode of the first season, she used a technique called Kokutenkyuu (black spot sphere?) to absorb monsters into a black hole-like sphere, completely erasing them.

1st Place: Hajime Nagumo

Hajime

Our top pick goes to the series' protagonist, Hajime Nagumo! His cheat-like abilities, worthy of a true protagonist, are his strengths. Hajime is an alchemist who specializes in creating a variety of things, and in addition to his beloved twin pistols, he has created everything from Gatling guns and rockets to bombs and swords. What caught his eye was the high lethality of his weapons. While it is questionable whether a normal gun would be able to fight against demons, Hajime's original weapons use special minerals, which dramatically increase their lethality. Furthermore, Hajime himself has eaten monsters at the bottom of the abyss, which gives him the ability to use the unique magic of various monsters. Incidentally, Kouki boasts the greatest military power among his classmates, but he is no match for Hajime.

"Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest" Strength Ranking Summary

Hajime and the others

So far, we've introduced the "Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest" strength rankings. What do you think? If they were to fight, it's hard to say who would be stronger, Hajime or Yue, but that's the main character's bias... We're looking forward to seeing even stronger characters appear in the second season.
