Sakura Minamoto, now a second-year high school student, was dreaming of becoming an idol, or so she thought. Until she was killed in a traffic accident in front of her house first thing in the morning, with an audition application envelope in hand. She suddenly finds herself in a mysterious Western-style mansion, chased by eerie monster girls, and is told a shocking truth and purpose by a mysterious man in sunglasses, Tatsumi Kotaro. The dead girls have been resurrected as zombies, and are to become local idols who will save Saga Prefecture. Sakura and the zombie girls are thrown into an absurd and incomprehensible situation by Tatsumi's idol plan.

The protagonist of the story. A second-year high school student (in 2008) with dreams of becoming an idol, she was hit by a speeding pickup truck and killed instantly the moment she left her house on the morning of the new semester, holding an application for a Tokyo new idol audition. Later, in 2018, she is resurrected as "zombie number 1," the first to awaken to consciousness, in a Western-style mansion owned by Tatsumi near the Machida River in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, with almost no memories of her previous life. By the way, she has large breasts.

She speaks in the Karatsu dialect, ending sentences with "-chan." She has long, straight red hair with a pink and yellow-green polka-dot ribbon on the left side of her head. She is wearing the school uniform she was wearing at the time of her death. Since becoming a zombie, she has a large vertical scar running from her forehead to the space between her eyebrows. Perhaps due to the brain stimulation caused by the excitement of live performances, she occasionally experiences flashbacks to her life. She is the central figure in the group, bringing everyone together.

Shocking Appearance

Just one minute into the anime, Sakura dashes out of her house and is hit by a pickup truck, marking a completely unprecedented appearance. She then wakes up 10 years later as a zombie, but is unaware that she is a zombie. In a panic, she goes outside and calls for help from a police officer, only to be shot. It was a shocking appearance both before and after her death.

Position within Franchouchou

Sakura in Trouble

She's the team leader, diligently working toward her idol activities. However, when the other members are not as motivated, she often ends up playing the role of the hard worker, causing trouble. However, when things get too unreasonable, she suddenly snaps, becoming a completely different person and aggressive, jumping into mosh pits or challenging others to rap battles. Of the awakened members, only one has almost no memories of her life, but she does have vague memories of the thrill of live performances and a sense of deja vu with Mizuno Ai. Because she died just before she was about to become an idol, she had no "legend" during her lifetime, and (partly because Kotaro got mad at her) she is the only one without the title of "legend."

Because they're zombies, their first live performance...

Headbanging members

Sakura is the only zombie still awake, but they suddenly decide to perform live. However, the other members are zombies, and they panic, jumping into the audience. However, the audience is a metal fanatic, and for some reason, they respond well to them. When the song starts, the zombies start screaming and headbanging. This is also a big hit with the audience. And because she's a zombie, the audience was deeply moved by her headbanging, almost to the point of breaking her neck.

In her second year of high school, she enrolled in the Nagoya branch of the Japan Narration Acting Institute. While continuing on to university, she also trained as a voice actor at a training center, eventually dropping out in her second year after being assigned to AiM. She made her debut in "Denpa Kyoushi" in 2015, and in October of the same year, she was selected to play the lead role of Yotsuba Kokoro in the TV anime "Himitsu no Cocotama."

Thoughts on the Role of Minamoto Sakura

Minamoto Sakura... is a truly dedicated girl, and she's probably not good at lying. If something were to shake that purity, she would become very anxious, and it's precisely for times like those that she needs her friends. When I act, I try to convey her purity and innocent hard work.

Meanwhile, legendary idols Ai Mizuno and Junko Konno, from the Heisei and Showa eras, escape, attempting to return to their original location based on their memories from their previous lives. Minamoto Sakura, present, continues to persuade them.

Relationship with Saki Nikaido

Sakura diligently dances the choreography she learned in class. At this point, Yamada Tae, who has not yet regained her senses, goes on a rampage. Nikaido Saki, a delinquent girl, gets carried away by this. Minamoto Sakura, who was trying to support the members, loses her temper and starts rapping to insult the unmotivated members in an attempt to motivate them. As the rap gets more heated, the audience and the members get more and more excited. After this hugely successful live performance, it seems that Nikaido Saki, who mainly insulted each other, has shared her feelings. Viewers are looking forward to the members coming together soon and giving us an interesting live performance.

The day of the concert arrives. The concert starts out unsuccessfully, but with the help of the two legendary idols, it ends up being a success? It seems they've gained at least one fan. And while it may have seemed a bit sudden, it's probably for the better. All the members are now united. It was also the moment the new "Franchouchou" launched. Now that Junko Konno and Ai Mizuno have fully joined the group, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for what Franchouchou will accomplish!
