This is where Keita's story begins. We eventually learn that the cause of the fight was that he had been possessed by "Donyorine," a yokai that makes the atmosphere gloomy.

Jibanyan was a cat named Akamaru in life. He lived a happy life with his owner, a high school girl named Emi. But then a tragic accident occurred. While protecting Emi-chan who had jumped out onto the crosswalk, Akamaru was hit by a truck and died. In his daze, the last thing Akamaru heard was Emi-chan's sad words: "That's lame." Even after becoming the earthbound spirit Jibanyan, he is still haunted by the shock, and fights trucks every day in the hopes of one day becoming strong enough to be accepted by Emi-chan.

One day, Jibanyan is transported back to the past by the power of Kin and Gin, characters who can manipulate time and space. There, he is forced to relive his life with Emi-chan. And once again, he encounters the scene of the tragic accident. In fact, Emi-chan had been chosen as a sacrifice to maintain the balance between the world of Shinigami and the human world. Just before the accident, Jibanyan is forced to choose whether to save her or not by Kin and Gin, who tell him, "If you don't save Emi-chan, you won't become a monster, and you won't die."

But Jibanyan, without hesitation, ran out into the road and protected Emi. "I... I... will never regret this, meow! I love Emi-chan, meow!" he cried, and took a desperate dive. It turns out that his girlfriend was actually a manga artist. However, she was troubled. She was drawing manga with a yokai theme, but her editor told her, "It's not interesting if you draw things that aren't realistic." She became depressed, thinking, "Maybe I'm not cut out to be a manga artist..." Koma-san, disguised as a human, calls out to her, tempted to tell her that she's right in front of him. She even ordered a huge portion for the bear during lunch. Keita, sensing something strange about her overly passionate behavior, shines the light of her Yo-kai Watch on Fumi-chan. Then, the yokai "Gachin Kozo" appears. It's a hot-blooded yokai that turns anyone it possesses into a hot-blooded, passionate character. Fumi-chan often gets possessed by yokai.
Keita goes all out!
Gachin Kozo is looking for a serious fight. Then Keita gets serious. Suddenly the animation changes and everything goes dark. For some reason, lightning also starts to appear, and he goes into full-on battle mode. He summons Kyuubi with a voice saying, "A golden beast with nine tails that controls crimson flames." The presentation is different from usual, and he's full of energy. Even the toughest kids get nervous at how serious he is. "You don't usually call something like that, do you!?" However, out of the corner of his eye, Jibanyan, who was in line, noticed a girl chasing a balloon that had flown away. And a truck was about to pass by nearby! It was a very dangerous situation and he wanted to go and help, but if he left the line he might not be able to shake hands with Fusasa-tan. Jibanyan was conflicted.
He couldn't shake hands!
After much deliberation, Jibanyan leaps out and unleashes a 100-pound paw attack on the truck. As usual, he loses, but he manages to stop the truck and save the girl! He even gets her balloon back. The girl thanks him. However, when he returns to the line, he sees a "Registration Closed" sign... Shaking hands with Fusasa-tan is no longer an option.
The person with the girl was...
As the sun was setting, Jibanyan was crying on the beach, saying, "I wanted to go to the handshake event..." Suddenly, the girl he had saved earlier passed by and told the woman who was with her, "A red cat saved me." There he found the girl and, of all people, Fusasa-tan! The girl turns out to be Fusasatan's younger sister. The girl notices Jibanyan, and Fusasatan calls out to the crying Jibanyan.
A thank you kiss...? But...
Jibanyan is surprised to see Fusasatan. Why is this happening when youkai are supposed to be invisible to normal humans? That's what Jibanyan thought, but Fusasatan said, "My family's lineage is quite visible." That's why the girl was able to talk to Jibanyan. Fusasatan said, "Thank you," and brought his face closer to Jibanyan. Convinced that it was a kiss of thanks, Jibanyan closed his eyes. However, just before the kiss, he was summoned by Keita...! And the reason was a silly one: he had been possessed by the Hanaho people and could not stop picking his nose. Jibanyan cried as he showered Hanaho people and Keita with 100 paws.
