The Prince of Tennis is a sports manga about tennis that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. As of 2018, the story continues after The Prince of Tennis, called The New Prince of Tennis. This time, we will introduce the members of Private Yamabuki Junior High School who fought against Seishun Gakuen in the Tokyo Tournament.
Private Yamabuki Junior High School
Private Yamabuki Junior High School is a private junior high school in Tokyo that appeared in The Prince of Tennis. The uniforms and jerseys are mainly green. The junior high school is famous for its solid doubles, and the advisor, called Banjii, kindly watches over the team and gives them advice. It is also a prestigious school for tennis, and the tennis club boasts a tradition and track record of over 70 years since its founding.
Minami Kentaro
Minami Kentaro is a third-year student who belongs to the tennis club at Yamabuki Junior High School, and serves as the club's captain. He has a unique permed hairstyle that stands up backwards. He and his doubles partner Toho Masami are called "plain's" by Sengoku Seishun, and they excel at solid, flawless play. They give Seishun's golden pair a hard time, but are defeated by Kikumaru's efforts.
Masami Touhou
Masami Touhou is a third-year student who belongs to the tennis club at Yamabuki Junior High School and serves as the club's vice-captain. She has black hair slicked back, and is known as the "plain" teammate with Kentaro Minami. She is a doubles player who excels at solid, flawless play. She focuses on one opponent and aims for the open space when the other moves.
Her playing style is an aggressive baseliner, and her ability as a doubles player is recognized nationwide.
Sengoku Seishun
Sengoku Seishun is a third-year student in the tennis club at Yamabuki Junior High School. He has orange hair and is a character that girls love. He is called "Lucky Sengoku" by those around him, and is known for being accompanied by something during games. For that reason, he is concerned about the lucky color and lucky item of the day. His playing style is an aggressive baseliner, and he is in a position like the ace of Yamabuki Junior High School.
Sengoku Seishun has outstanding dynamic vision and skillful game making, and he toyed with his opponents. His dynamic visual acuity is among the best among the characters in the series, and he can catch fast hits as if in slow motion. He can hit a serve called "Tiger Cannon", in which he jumps and slams the ball into the center court at the shortest distance, and a "Dunk Smash", which Momoshiro is also good at. He was also selected for the junior selection team after Tezuka Kunimitsu declined.
Akutsu Jin
Akutsu Jin is a third-year student who belongs to the tennis club at Yamabuki Junior High School. He is characterized by his gray hair that is spiky with wax and his mean look in his eyes. He has a very violent and quarrelsome personality, and has even hurt a member of Seigaku by hitting a rock with his racket. He has also been able to do anything without trying, and is undefeated, so he makes fun of people who put in effort. Although he has a bad mouth and a bad personality, he also cares about his juniors, such as showing his junior Dan Taichi the path he should take.
Akutsu Jin has a large physique and outstanding athletic ability. He has ideal muscles that can aim for the top in all sports, and is said to be a once-in-a-decade talent. He can change the trajectory of the ball after the opponent moves, and can easily return the ball even in an awkward position. He also hates losing more than anything, and in order to win, he listens to the instructions of his disliked coaches and makes plays by varying the pace.
Nitobe Inayoshi
Nitobe Inayoshi is a third-year student who belongs to the tennis club at Yamabuki Junior High School. It is unclear whether the leaves are growing or just sitting on his head, but he has a distinctive young leaf on his head. He hardly appears in the story, and his performance in matches is not depicted. However, when he played against Seishun University in the Tokyo tournament, he overwhelmed Fuji and Kawamura in doubles with Kita Kazuma, so he can be said to be a very strong doubles player.
Kita Kazuma
Kita Kazuma is a second-year student in the tennis club at Yamabuki Junior High School. He is characterized by a round mark on his cheek. Like Nitobe Inayoshi, he is one of the players who has almost no lines and does not play an active role in the story. However, he is selected as a doubles player at Yamabuki Junior High School, which is strong in doubles, and he is thought to be a talented player as he has defeated Fuji and Kawamura of Seigaku University by pairing with Nitobe Inayoshi.
Muromachi Juji
Muromachi Juji Yamabuki is a second-year student who belongs to the tennis club at Yamabuki Private Junior High School. He is characterized by his tanned black skin and sunglasses, and when he takes off his sunglasses, only his eyes are not tanned, so he looks like a reverse panda. He has a cool and calm personality. Although there is no depiction of him in a match, he is a second-year student who plays singles, so it is assumed that he has the ability. He is often ranked No. 1 in singles, but this is decided by lottery along with Sengoku Seishun and Akutsu Jin, so it doesn't really matter.

This time, we introduced the members of Yamabuki Junior High School. Sengoku and Akutsu stand out in Yamabuki Junior High School, but the other members are mostly obscure and rarely play an active role. Akutsu is expected to play an active role in New Prince of Tennis, so he is a player to watch in the future.
