The Fable is a series that is serialized in Weekly Young Magazine. The story is about a man who was called the strongest assassin "Fable", but after killing too much, he has to go into hiding and live as an ordinary person for a year in order to gain the sense of an ordinary person. There are many strong and scary guys in The Fable. This time, I made a ranking of the strength of these characters.

Strength Ranking 1st Place: Sato Akira (pseudonym)

Sato Akira

A genius assassin who has created an urban legend called Fable (fable) in the underworld. He killed 71 people in six years, and his speed and efficiency in his work was enough to give rise to urban legends, but in the first place, it is a profession that should not be so conspicuous that it could give rise to urban legends, and he is ordered by the boss, the head of the organization, to live as an ordinary person for one year. Although he is a top-class genius as a killer, he is naive and does not have a common sense, so he is seen as a bit odd in normal society.

This is what makes him strong, Sato Akira (pseudonym)

The protagonist is said to have the ability to win a gold medal if there was an Olympics for "killing". His ability is such that he can subdue any opponent within six seconds, and he is skilled in martial arts and firearms, as well as a natural instinct, and he can instantly sense security cameras and traps set up and avoid them with the best possible action, and knock out opponents he faces in less than one second, not six seconds, and has an incredible human ability. However, this is not the result of training, but a type of savant syndrome.

Strength Ranking 2nd Place Boss

Boss

He is the foster parent of Sato Akira (pseudonym) and Sato Yoko (pseudonym), and the boss of an unnamed organization that makes a living as an assassin. Concerned that Fable has become too conspicuous because of his work, he orders Fable to live as an ordinary person for a year to learn common sense. However, as times have changed, the assassination business itself has become unsustainable, and he is trying to get out of the business. He ordered Akira to live as an ordinary person because he wanted him to acquire the sense of an ordinary person, lose some of his assassination skills, and get used to being an ordinary person if he could.

This is what makes him strong, Boss

The boss's strength was never depicted in the story, but he is probably the only person in the story who has the same strength as Sato Akira, also known as The Fable. His assassination techniques and his way of thinking of overcoming situations through wisdom and ingenuity have permeated the organization's members other than Akira and Yoko, who raised him. On the surface, he runs an osteopathic clinic in Saitama Prefecture, but he also seems to occasionally interview assassins that are introduced to him. He is also ruthless, and will kill someone immediately if he thinks they are useless.

Strength Ranking 3rd Place Yamaoka (pseudonym)

Yamaoka

An executive of an organization. His amygdala is so messed up that he doesn't feel fear, and he also lacks a sense of ethics. To satisfy his curiosity, he sticks his nose into an assassination incident caused by Sunagawa of the Makuro Group, and is a psychopath who imagines his own scenario and commits the murder. He was originally a hitman belonging to the organization, and in exchange for sparing Matsu (pseudonym), a former hitman and arms dealer, he treats him as if he were taking his family hostage. He prepares a photo, plans how to kill the person in the photo, and then carries it out. In fact, Yamaoka is Matsu's real name, and he used Matsu's family register to assume that name.

Yamaoka (pseudonym) is strong here

His amygdala is messed up, so he doesn't feel fear and he lacks any sense of ethics, so he is always calm and merciless. He is a theatrical killer who plans dramatic murders and lays out strategies, but he is also skilled in fighting and gun handling, and has a sharp intuition. His strength is such that he easily subdues Yoko, but if Akira is a 10, he rates himself at about an 8, and later Akira rates him as more than a 10, so there is a big difference between them.

Strength Ranking 4th Place: Azami (pseudonym)

Azami

An active assassin belonging to an organization. He is a disciple of Yamaoka, and Yamaoka calls him an equally capable as him. He is large, wears glasses, and plays a friendly personality. Azami is a pseudonym given to Yamaoka, and the flower's meaning is "don't touch it." He was ordered by his boss to eliminate Yamaoka, but he was conflicted about whether to follow the organization or his master Yamaoka, because of his affection as a master and disciple. In the end, he sided with Yamaoka and tried to defeat Akira with Yamaoka and Yukari, but even with a 3-on-1 battle, he was unable to defeat Akira.

This is what makes Azami strong (pseudonym)

An active assassin for the Fable, she is a capable individual who survived Yamaoka's ridiculous training in which many people died. Yamaoka considered her abilities to be on a par with his own. However, in the end, she fights Akira alongside Yamaoka and Yukari, but is outnumbered 3 to 1 by an overwhelming margin. However, even after Yamaoka's death, she holds no grudge against Akira and the others, and with the reform of the organization, she returns to being an honorable person just like Akira and the others. She has a gentle personality, and tries to be kind in situations that are not related to killing.

Strength Ranking 5th Place: Eucalyptus (pseudonym)

Eucalyptus

A hitman belonging to an organization, and a partner of Azami (pseudonym). Like Yoko, Akira's partner, he has the ability to instantly remember things. He also has high combat skills and is a powerful man who can easily subdue average people. Eucalyptus is a pseudonym given to Yamaoka, and its flower language is "memory." At first, he was a character with a noticeable cruel personality, but he loved Yamaoka like a parent and acted in a way that would save Yamaoka, and acted without regard for his own danger to prevent unnecessary casualties from Yamaoka's rampage.

This is where Yukari (pseudonym) is strong

If Yamaoka rates Akira at 10, then Yukari is a 5. Yukari, like Yoko, serves as a driver and backup, but is still a very capable individual. However, when she first faced Akira, she was fooled by Akira's technique of making herself look weak and was knocked out in about a second. After that, she fought Yoko with broken ribs and lost, and when she fought Akira with Yamaoka and Azami, she was easily choked out. But it's not that Yukari is weak, it's just that Akira is from another dimension. She gets along well with Yoko, probably because they are in the same position, and they think of each other as siblings.

Strength ranking: Tied for 5th place: Yoko Sato (pseudonym)

Yoko Sato

She is the partner and driver of Fable, also known as Akira Sato (pseudonym), and is a backup with the ability to remember things instantly. By order of the boss, she will be living as an ordinary person for one year, living together with Akira under the name of Yoko Sato (pseudonym), Akira's younger sister. As expected of a backup partner, she has an outstanding memory, but her fighting ability is also far beyond that of an ordinary person. However, in sparring with Akira, she was easily subdued in 6 seconds, and Akira said that she is 100 times stronger than Yoko.

This is what makes Yoko Sato (pseudonym) so strong

If Yamaoka rates Akira at 10 and herself at 8, then she is rated at 5, the same as Yukari (pseudonym). Although she is strong enough to face Suzuki, a veteran assassin, and kill him instantly, she hesitates when it comes to pulling the trigger because she has never killed anyone, so when it comes to fellow assassins who can kill people mercilessly, her lack of experience can make them take advantage of her weaknesses. However, people like Suzuki (pseudonym), Matsu (pseudonym), and Ebihara, the young boss of the Makuro group, have told her that if she has no experience killing, it would be better to leave her as she is, and they are considerate of her.

【The Fable】Strength Ranking Summary

I have compiled a ranking of the strength of The Fable. However, in reality, the main character, Sato Akira, is of another dimension of strength. The boss also seems strong, but he may not be particularly described as an unknown quantity. The series is scheduled to resume in the summer, but I don't think the number one spot will change unless something really bad happens! Also, the second live-action movie has been decided. Shinichi Tsutsumi will be the boss of the second live-action movie. He was a great villain in Yakuza, so I'm looking forward to it!
