Shikimori-san
Shikimori-san is both the protagonist and heroine of this work. Despite being the main character, her full name has never been revealed. Izumi calls her "Shikimori-san," but Nekozaki calls her "Mitchon" and Izumi's parents call her "Mi-chan," so it seems likely that her name begins with "Mi"... She has excellent athletic ability, and is adept at catching flying objects coming towards her with her bare hands and dodging them on the spot. She's also a versatile athlete, and despite not being a member of the volleyball team at the ball game tournament, she performed brilliantly, making her immensely popular with the younger girls. For several days, she was surrounded by so many female fans that Izumi couldn't get close to her. Contrary to her athleticism, she wasn't good at cooking, but she overcame this by attending cooking classes with Izumi's mother. Izumi-kun
The protagonist of this work and Shikimori-san's lover. Like Shikimori-san, his real name is unknown, and he is called "Izumi" by his friends and "Yuu" by his parents, so his name is likely something like "Izumi Yuu" or "Izumi Yuu〇." He has a tendency to bring misfortune, and on event days, it rains or some other kind of trouble occurs 100% of the time. Especially when walking outside, flying objects fly towards him as if drawn to him, sometimes causing harm to those around him... Izumi is tolerant of misfortune that affects him personally, but is vulnerable to it when it affects others. Even in middle school, he skipped a school trip because he didn't want to drag those around him into misfortune. To be precise, he is a very positive thinker. He doesn't mind getting a bad fortune on his fortune slip, and he has a tough side, as seen in his attempts to swim again in the river immediately after drowning.
Kyara Nekozaki
He is one of the group of people who always get along well. He's very curious and very proactive. He's a member of the volleyball club, so he's on the same level as Shikimori when it comes to sports. When they had a basketball game in class, Shikimori was in full swing, cheered on by Izumi, and they went on equal terms, going head-to-head. Yui Hachiman
Another member of the close-knit group. Unlike the tall Shikimori and Nekozaki, she is quite petite at 148cm. Unlike the sports-loving pair, she is more of an indoor person, more like Izumi. (Sometimes they get too close, which can lead to unreasonable jealousy.) He's a man who gets things done when he needs to, and despite his frivolous appearance, he has a strong, serious personality. He seems to be good at sports, having come from behind to win the relay race as the anchor, and he also seems to be good enough at studying to teach Yaman. His dream is to become a veterinarian, and he's currently working part-time to save money. He's handsome, but he has no interest in women, and he never blushes, no matter how beautiful a woman he is.
Kamiya
The most handsome boy in the series. He's burdened by the high expectations of those around him, and he usually doesn't hang out with anyone and leads a lonely life. She developed feelings for Izumi after working together as a library committee member, and was heartbroken when she heard that Shikimori had started dating her... Saruogi

She calls Inutsuka by his first name, "Hide-chan," and her coworkers are shocked, thinking they have an unusual relationship. While normally a cute, airy character, she transforms into a cool character at work, wearing an apron that makes Nekozaki blush. She paid for all of her college tuition herself and achieved top grades. She dreams of opening her own coffee shop one day, so she's a hard worker who stays up late every night researching coffee. Incidentally, she's so beautiful she draws attention just by walking around, and it's rumored she's been confessed to countless times by the opposite sex, but has turned them all down.
Izumi Motoko
Izumi's mother, Motoko Izumi, is a very laid-back, clumsy girl. She has a vague air about her, and it's hard to tell what she's thinking... When she first started dating Izumi's father, she had a stiff expression and short hair, giving her a sharp demeanor that's a little different from her current one. Due to her tendency to get nervous when talking with people her age and the fact that she moved from Fukui Prefecture to Japan, she has no mom friends or other friends. However, she and Shikimori became friends and went to cooking classes together, as her son's girlfriend. Later, she became friends with Shikimori's mother, and for the first time, she made mom friends her own age.
Izumi Akisada
Izumi's father, a well-built man. He appears significantly older than his wife, Kyoko. In his younger years, he was a skilled judo player, winning championships. On the day of the fireworks festival, he carried Izumi, who was carrying Shikimori on his back, on his back and effortlessly descended a steep staircase. Kyoko says that when he was younger, he used to carry four people on his back. He's a big fan of saunas, but both his wife and children have a weakness for heat. Shikimori-san (Brother)

His presence has been confirmed here and there, with Shikimori calling Inutsuka "Brother" and his back glimpsed, but he made his first appearance the day before their amusement park date.
