Shaman King Flowers, which was serialized from 2012 to 2014 and resumed serialization in 2018, will be adapted into an anime that will air in January of next year. It is a sequel to the popular Shaman King series that was serialized in Jump, and there is already talk of what it will be like. The heroine of the previous work was Anna Osoreyama, but in this work, the heroine is a character named Aluminum Nium Birch. But what kind of person is she? We'll explain in detail in this article!
Story Summary
Hana Asakura, a junior high school student living in Funbarigaoka, is the son of Yoh Asakura and Anna Asakura (née Osorezan), and the next head of the prestigious Asakura family of shamans. However, with no opportunity to utilize his talents, Hana's days are filled with boredom and frustration. Then, two assassins appear before him. His encounter with the two, descendants of the "Ura Asakura family," another Asakura family thought to have vanished into the darkness of history, marks the beginning of a new battle, the "Flower of Maze." A new story starring Hana Asakura begins.
Heroine: Aluminum Nium Birch
The heroine of "Shaman King Flowers" and Hana Asakura's fiance. She is the "Third Generation Itako Anna," succeeding the second generation Anna, who was Aluminum's master. She has distinctive double teeth and blonde hair that is almost white, and her appearance differs slightly from her appearance in previous works (such as the one-shot version). Aluminum and Hana share the common trait of being descendants of the same Hao, and both inherited their father's spirits.
What kind of character is she?
Although not as violent as Hana, Armi has a rough side. She will kick Hana if she makes fun of her appearance, and will not hesitate to use violence to teach her a lesson. Despite this, Armi's true goal is to protect Hana. Her love for Hana is as deep as that of a parent for a child, as evidenced by her obtaining Hana's mother, Anna's, permission to marry her. Unlike Hana, who is shunned by those around her due to her aggressive nature, Armi suppresses her true personality at school and speaks in a silly way. Unlike the clumsy Hana, Armi excels at getting by in life.
Abilities
She is extremely skilled, both in combat and mental aspects, to the point that one wonders if she's really a teenager. She's so knowledgeable about the world's various affairs that one wonders if she's even met God in person. Armi refers to God as "that guy," so it's not impossible that she has actually met him. Her spirit is "Silver Arms," inherited from her father, a rare combination in the series: a female shaman and a female spirit. She can also use Itako techniques such as Kuchiyose and Possession Fusion. The special bullets she fires from her Oversoul are incredibly powerful, making them a countermeasure against dark demon-transformed flowers.
Trivia About Aluminum
The name is thought to be a combination of "aluminum" and "birch." Birch refers to the white birch, and the flower's meaning is "patience" and "I'll wait for you forever." This seems to fit Aluminum's character and background. Incidentally, the shampoo she uses is called "Ichikami," a parody of the real-life shampoo "Ichikami." Replacing "hair" with "kami" (god) really captures the worldview of Shaman King, doesn't it?
Summary of Aluminum Nium Birch
Aluminum supports the main character, Hana, and sometimes encourages her. She also fights, and her combat prowess is immeasurable. She's truly a character worthy of a battle manga or anime. I'm looking forward to the day when we can enjoy Aluminum's exploits and her interactions with Hana Asakura in the anime! I've written about Hana Asakura in a separate article, so please take a look! Thank you for reading.
