The pace is just as fast as in episode 1! The naming sense of "Asakusa Cat Zurumuke Incident" is great. The songs that play throughout the story are also great! In my previous analysis video, I contrasted love and desire, but by depicting them as similar characters, a kappa and an otter, I explained that perhaps love and desire are closely related. The words love and desire also appear in episode 2! That's also worth noting. Let's start our analysis right away!

The Gold Plate of Hope and the Silver Plate of Hope

A plate of hope that can grant any wish. Earlier in the story, Enta wished for a year's supply of kappamaki without listening to Keppi's explanation that he had something important to tell him as he took out the plate, but it broke. When Kazuki and Tono found out, they set out to fight the cat zombie to make their wish come true. However, this time they got a silver plate of hope, which is probably based on Chocoballs. One gold angel and five silver angels will get you a wonderful present.

There may be something to Keppi's story, which was interrupted midway through.

The Desire to Be Loved

The Asakusa Cat-Ripped Off Incident

Nekoyama

The Asakusa Cat-Ripped Off Incident occurred six months ago. The perpetrator, Nekoyama, plucked the cat's fur in order to become a cat himself, because his girlfriend loved cats more than he loved her.
This crime has also been described as being caused by the desire to be loved by a lover.

The Truth About Nyantaro

Community Cat

At the end of this incident, the truth is revealed: Kazuki stole Nyantaro, a pet cat, for his younger brother, Haruka, and turned him into a community cat. In other words, he stole the cat out of a desire to fulfill Haruka's wishes. Perhaps that's why the otter icon, a symbol of desire, appears on Kazuki's phone when he's talking about cats with Haruka by the river.

Toi and His Brother

Toi and His Brother

As I mentioned in my previous analysis video, a person Toi wants to connect with has appeared. That person is his brother. It seems these two are up to something a little shady. They're cultivating what clearly appears to be marijuana, using the euphemism "vegetables." The two torture him, asking him who told them about this route, but a subsequent conversation reveals that it was Toi's mistake.

The relationship between these two is still unclear. Toi's wish is undoubtedly related to his brother, but what it entails remains a mystery.

The Final Kissing Scene: Enta is a Girl Theory

Kiss

The kissing scene at the end suddenly appears... Who could it be? At first glance, it's Enta... Is he gay? It makes me wonder, is Enta really a boy? He uses "ore" (I), but while Kazuki and Tono wear ties, Enta doesn't. He doesn't have big breasts, and his sister is also flat-chested. The official description of Enta doesn't specify his gender. After the first episode, I thought Haruka was a girl, but wouldn't it be more natural to think that Enta is a girl who's in love with Kazuki?

Sarazanmai Anime Episode 2: Conclusion

Cover

There are still so many mysteries. I wonder if the story will explore the past events between the characters and the people they want to connect with. From there, the story will explore why they want to connect, and whether it's love or desire?

In any case, I'm already looking forward to episode 3!
