The director of Samidare is Nobuaki Nakanishi. He was in charge of production management for the World Masterpiece Theater series at Nippon Animation. After leaving Nippon Animation, he worked on projects at Madhouse and Studio Hibari, and is currently based at Doga Kobo. His notable works as a director include Magic Circle Guru Guru (1994), B-Daman Bakugaiden, and This Healer, Mendokusai.

The author of Planet With, Satoshi Mizukami, is serving as series composition for the anime. This is not his first time working on an anime; in 2018, he was involved in the original story and series composition for Planet With, for which he also served as the original screenwriter. There were talks of an anime adaptation of Planet With during the serialization, but it ultimately fell through and wasn't made until 12 years later in 2022.
The role of Yuhi Amamiya will be played by Junya Enoki!

Naomi Ozora will be playing Samidare Asahina!
Naomi Ozora will be playing the heroine, Samidare Asahina. Born February 4, 1989, she is from Miyagi Prefecture and has blood type A. She is affiliated with Aoni Production. Her notable roles include Uzaki Hana in Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! and Tamamo Cross in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.
Kenjiro Tsuda will be playing Noi Cresant!
