NEW AME is a four-panel comic currently being serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat. It is a manga about the daily working life of the game production company Eagle Jump, depicting what goes on behind the scenes in game production. The manga is mostly made up of young female employees, making it a bright manga that dispels the dark image of the work. Due to the popularity of the original work, it was first broadcast as an anime in the summer of 2016, and ran for one season. Aoba is then introduced to a woman who was sleeping in her underwear, and learns that she is Yagami Kou, a character designer he admires. Since then, it has become commonplace for Yagami to sleep in his underwear, but this is a memorable scene where Aoba first meets Yagami in his underwear.

A year after Aoba joined the company, they were working on the production of a new game, "PECO." Hifumi was the new leader of the character team. Aoba was happy to see Nene's reply, who was jealous. Seeing this, Hifumi becomes a little scared of Aoba. Hifumi believes that Aoba will become mean if they become close friends. When Hifumi takes some treats to another team, Aoba interrupts him and saves him when he is about to get involved in a long conversation. When Hifumi expresses his gratitude to Aoba, he replies that it's absolutely fine, then makes a mean face and says that he would have liked to see Hifumi-senpai in trouble. Hearing this, Hifumi imagines the little devil Aoba in this famous scene.

It won the bronze prize in the 2016 Anime Buzzword Awards, beating out strong competitors such as "But I refuse" and "My brain trembles." This line only appears once in the story, and the author has stated that he will never use it again in the future. It also gave birth to the phrase "zoi pose," which involves putting your fist in front of your chest. It is such a precious and famous scene.
