NEW Game! is a four-panel comic currently being serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat. It is a manga about the daily working life of game production set at Eagle Jump, a game production company, and depicts the behind-the-scenes of game production. All of the staff are beautiful girls, and the story depicts the struggles, worries, and joys that come with game production. Still, it is fundamentally a light-hearted comedy anime that is fun to watch. As the story progresses, she is promoted to character designer and art director. Kou Yagami is in the same graphic team as Aoba and works as a character designer. When Aoba was a child, he won the main character design in the game Fairies Story that he played, and seeing Yagami's character design inspired Aoba to become a character designer. However, Yagami had just joined the company straight out of high school, just like Aoba, when he won the character design competition, and his talent and completed designs amazed everyone around him.
