My Maid is Too Annoying! is a popular series currently being serialized in Monthly Action. It's based on the original work by Nakamura Kanko, and was finally adapted into an anime in October 2018! The series' tagline is "A perverted fighting housekeeper vs. a Russian elementary school student - a heartwarming, unsettling home comedy?" and exactly as the tagline suggests, it's a comedy that depicts the hectic daily life of the strongest maid and a young Russian girl.

The Takanashi family lost their mother to illness. Because her father was busy with work, he decided to hire a housekeeper, but his daughter, Misha, refused to accept any women other than her mother. Misha harassed her in every way possible, forcing every housekeeper to quit. A new housekeeper arrives at the Takanashi household. Her name is Tsubame Kamoi. She's completely different from the previous housekeepers. With her arrival, Misha's peaceful daily life falls apart, and every day becomes a struggle for all-out resistance.

A beautiful young girl with a Russian mother and a Japanese father. She has platinum hair and green eyes, and is a second-grader in elementary school. Perhaps because of her cute appearance, she tends to attract public attention, but she has become so self-conscious about the attention she receives that she rarely goes out. She had a strong attachment to her mother, but she lost her mother to illness and now lives with her father. Her father, who is often away from home, considerately hires a housekeeper, but he uses every trick in the book to get her to quit, refusing to accept any women other than her mother. However, with Kamoi Tsubame as her maid, her world changes dramatically, for better or worse. Incidentally, her current father is remarried, so they are no longer related by blood.

Haruka Shiraishi plays Takanashi Misha. Since her voice acting debut in 2012, she has steadily built up her reputation by playing a variety of roles, and is now one of the most popular young voice actors. Her most famous roles include Honba Kirie in Umaru-chan and Asirpa in Golden Kamuy.
Misha's Charm #1: Her Overwhelming Cuteness

Misha truly hates being judged by her appearance, but as Tsubame says, it can't be helped! Even if you're not a swallow, you'd be captivated by Misha's looks. I've heard the comparison between snow fairies and swallows, and she's definitely a stunningly beautiful young girl with pure white skin and green eyes! Won't her appearance lead to a mass production of potential swallows? I'm very worried... (lol)
Misha's Charm #2: She Loves Her Mom

Unfortunately, Misha lost her mother at an early age. Like any small child, she loved her mother dearly, and when it came to her, she would get quite angry and negative. She would never let anyone enter her room, and she will always be the most important person in Misha's mind. And since her mother is so beautiful, it's amazing to think that Misha could become like her in the future! She has incredible potential!
Misha's Charm #3: She's Actually an Indoorsy

Contrary to her cute appearance, in her private life she's the ultimate indoor person. When she opens the curtains and sees the bright sunlight, she blurts out, "What nice weather! Let's play games!" Misha is an extremely indoorsy girl who spends her days off holed up in her room playing games from morning until night. Even though she's a half-Japanese child, there's a certain contrast that makes her adorable.
Misha's Charm #4: Her sharp tongue and mischief

This character is also quite good, despite her cute appearance. She routinely says things like "You're so mean" and "You're gross." For those who like her, abusive language from a blonde little girl is probably just a reward, but her comments, which are hard to imagine from her cute appearance, are a pleasant contrast. Furthermore, she has done some pretty extreme things in the past, like burning laundry to get rid of the housekeeper. She also searches for ways to kill someone without ever getting caught (lol).
Misha's Charm #5: She loves animals!

It's a bit of a sad story, but because she had no friends, she learns to communicate with animals. They can even converse normally. Misha loves animals so much that she wants to use this experience to work with animals in the future. This makes her look adorable, especially for someone her age.
Misha's Charm #6: She Loves Delicious Food!

Like a child, she has a weakness for curry and hamburgers. And desserts, too. Even though she doesn't approve of Tsubame, she admits defeat when it comes to her cooking, and willingly eat the food she makes. Let's take a look at some of Misha's delicious looks!
Misha vs. Curry

Misha succumbs to the word curry. She was determined to resist, but she couldn't win against curry, which children love.
Misha vs. Bread

Misha accidentally gets fascinated by the fun task of making bread that children will love. Tsubame, for one reason or another, is skilled at winning Misha's heart.
Misha vs. Hamburger Steak

After telling her to die without a trace, she takes back her word when someone tells her it's hamburger steak today. In the end, she loses to the hamburger and allows it to survive (lol).
Misha vs. Ice Cream

She's so cute, isn't she? Even though she complains, she's tempted by the ice cream and becomes obedient, and once she takes a bite, she smiles broadly. Tsubame's ice cream-making skills are also quite impressive.
Misha vs. Tsubame

After Tsubame leaves, Misha eats a cake that's on sale, but even though it's from a famous shop, it doesn't taste good at all. I always think the food tastes better. It was a powerful moment that showed how Tsubame has completely captured Misha's heart, and how various other emotions are beginning to emerge.
A Summary of Misha's Charms!

Although she's half Russian and half Japanese, she's a perfectly beautiful young girl who looks just like her mother, inheriting all of her good genes! Honestly, I hadn't really paid attention to this series, but the story is interesting and the characters are cute, so it's become a big favorite. Despite her cute appearance, Misha has a number of unfortunate gaps, but that's also part of her charm. Please enjoy this cute little girl in anime and other media. Only in the two-dimensional world! (lol)
