My Home Hero, an anime scheduled to air from April 2023, is a crime suspense series currently being serialized in Young Magazine. It is a tense story about an ordinary office worker who is forced to commit murder to protect his daughter, and then confronts vicious gangsters using his mystery knowledge and courage. My Home Hero has three parts in total, and the third part is currently being serialized in Young Magazine, but today we would like to give you some spoilers about the story of the first part that will be animated!
Story 1: Tosu Tetsuo, an ordinary office worker, finds out that his daughter has a boyfriend
Tosu Tetsuo, 47, who works at a toy manufacturer, is an ordinary office worker with a reliable wife and a rebellious but kind daughter who cares for her family. If he had to say anything, he would say that he likes mysteries and posts his own novels online. Tetsuo was enjoying a very ordinary and ordinary life, but one day he finds out that his daughter, Reika, has a boyfriend. Moreover, it seems that she is being abused by the boyfriend. Worried about his daughter, Tetsuo sneaks over to her apartment to find out what kind of boyfriend she is.
Story 2: I killed my daughter's boyfriend!
Tetsuo breaks into his daughter's apartment with a duplicate key, but at that moment, his daughter's boyfriend returns home. However, the man is a young man who assaulted Tetsuo the day before. Tetsuo quickly hides in the closet, but his boyfriend, Norihito Asatori, is not just a violent boyfriend, but a member of a semi-criminal organization that is after the inheritance of his wife's family home. He is an incredibly dangerous man who has killed two ex-girlfriends in a drunken state in the past, but the crime has not been revealed. When Tetsuo found out that Nobuto was trying to kill Reika on impulse, he ambushes him from the closet and bludgeons him to death.
Story 3: From Today I'm a Murderer
At that moment, his wife Kasen happens to come to the apartment. Tetsuo considers turning himself in, but since his identity is known to the organization, it is clear that even if he does turn himself in, retaliation will be meted out to his family. Kasen suggests that they hide the body there. Nobuto of the Narcotics Control Agency was a low-level member, but he was brought into the organization by the organization's top earner, genius conman, Yoshitatsu Narcotics Control Agency, through connections. Under the orders of Yoshitatsu, an overprotective and twisted character who would shift the blame even if his son committed a crime, the gang tries to thoroughly investigate Nobuto's whereabouts.
Story 4: The gang's boiling in a bathtub
Tetsuo remodels the bathtub to make Nobuto's corpse easier to carry and dismember it so that it can be flushed down the toilet, and boils it. After bringing the body back to his parents' house, he needs to dispose of it without anyone noticing, but there Tetsuo and Kasen realize that they are being marked by the gang. Since it became virtually impossible to bury the body in the mountains, Tetsuo tried to dispose of Nobuto's body by putting bacteria in a flowerpot.
Story 5 VS Kyoichi Mashima
Kyoichi Mashima, who commands the active unit of the semi-gang organization, was a young but elite man with excellent criminal knowledge and drive. Kyoichi broke into the Tosu family's house by lock picking and installed a wiretap to find out information, but Tetsuo and his men did not show their tails. However, Kyoichi had an intuition that Tetsuo and his men were hiding something. Kyoichi abducts Tetsuo on his own initiative, breaks into his house, restrains Kasen, and attempts to brutally interrogate her, engaging in a tense psychological battle. Kyoichi's guess is mostly correct, but his overly forceful methods put the organization at risk, and Kyoichi is stripped of his command, putting his position in jeopardy.
Story 6: Unexpected collaboration!?
After Kyoichi put his position in jeopardy with his aggressive investigation, Tetsuo offers to help him find Nobuto (even though he killed him himself). This is because he realizes that Kyoichi's position is also in a dead end. Kyoichi, on the other hand, somehow agrees to the proposal and the two unexpectedly form a joint force. In order to follow Nobuto's footsteps, the two visit his girlfriend, Hibiki, a hostess, and there Tetsuo finds testimony that "Nobuto the Narcotics Control Officer had betrayed the organization" and information about his social media. He then gets caught up in a conflict between semi-criminals and gets caught up in a bloodbath, but somehow manages to survive and return to his family.
Story 7: Posting a fake video
Tetsuo unlocks the SNS password and tries to upload a video that makes it look like Nobuto is alive, but he doesn't know the key password (more precisely, the reset question), so he goes to Nobuto's favorite bar. There he meets someone who seems to be Nobuto's father, and from that information he succeeds in figuring out the password. Then, with the help of a junior from university, he posts a video that makes it look like Nobuto is alive. However, in the meantime, Kyoichi is also suspicious of the unnatural flowerpot that was used when he broke into the house, and comes to Tetsuo's house to confirm it.
Story 8: A close battle
Nobuto in the flowerpot had already been disassembled, and Kyoichi was unable to find any conclusive evidence. On the contrary, thanks to his wife Kasen's ingenuity, Kyoichi succeeded in planting a keylogger on Kyoichi's computer. If the forged video had made the organization believe that Nobuto was alive, that would have been the end of it, but since the video was determined to be fake, Tetsuo came up with a plan to pin all the blame on Kyoichi. Kyoichi was chosen as the target because he continued to be the biggest threat to Tetsuo. Furthermore, one of the reasons was that it was revealed that in the mailboxes logged in with the keylogger, if Nobuto was not found by the deadline, the plan was to pin all the blame on Tetsuo and kill him.
Story 9: Figure out Kyoichi's address!
In order to frame Kyoichi for the murder of Nobuto, it was essential to find out his current address. Kyoichi also contacted Reika and was about to confirm the incident, but they succeeded in finding out the address through an email sent from Kyoichi's email address to a member of the organization, and Kasen also prevented Kyoichi and Reika from contacting each other. Kyoichi also asks his subordinates to procure an ALS light (which shows bloodstains and fingerprints), and finds it in his mailbox and retrieves it. Tetsuo tries to break into Kyoichi's room, but is unable to do so by turning the thumb turn and gives up.
Story 10: A Seriously Close Battle
Kyoichi takes Tetsuo to Reika's apartment. Kyoichi searches the room with the ALS light, but Tetsuo manages to switch the contents just in time and escapes danger. However, Kyoichi noticed that someone else had logged in from his email address at that time, and Tetsuo pointed out the discord with Takeda, who is in the same organization, and that if they could not find Nobuto and it was difficult to frame Tetsuo, there was a possibility that Kyoichi could be framed for all the crimes. Only a limited number of people could access Kyoichi's mailbox, and this possibility was quite conceivable to Kyoichi.
Story 11: Finally, they break into Kyoichi's room!
Tetsuo suggested that they go back to Kyoichi's room to check if something had been set up. Kyoichi had no reason to take Tetsuo with him, but he took him along because he didn't know what he would do if he left him alone. However, Kyoichi was unable to find anything unusual there (there was nothing in the first place). And the fateful day came when either Kyoichi or Tetsuo would die.
Story ⑫ The conclusion!
On that day, Takeda received an email from a person claiming to be Nobuto's accomplice, lying that Nobuto had betrayed the organization and that Kyoichi was his accomplice. With evidence found in Nobuto's house, suspicion now falls on Kyoichi, and he is even accused of murdering Nobuto. Then, a search is conducted in Kyoichi's room, and conclusive evidence that should not have been found in Kyoichi's safe is found, so all suspicions are directed at Kyoichi, and Tetsuo wins the battle at the last minute.
Story ⑬ The Truth
Kyoichi escapes just before he is killed and flees with only a little money. Then, Kyoichi learns that he has been framed by Tetsuo and how he did it. The method is that Tetsuo's wife, Kasen, broke into Kyoichi's room in the middle of the night from the rooftop and planted conclusive evidence. Then, when he let Tetsuo into the room, he realizes that she had secretly unlocked the locked room.
Story 14: I killed my daughter's boyfriend's father! (Suicide)
Kyoichi, who realized the whole truth, revealed all the facts to Narcotics Control Officer Yoshitatsu before escaping, and Yoshitatsu found out that Nobuto had died at Reika's apartment. Tetsuo, who was there, saw Yoshitatsu grieving over the loss of his son and said he would turn himself in in front of him. However, Yoshitatsu says that even if Tetsuo turns himself in, he will kill the whole family, and Tetsuo ends up fighting with Yoshitatsu. Unable to kill Tetsuo or his family on the spot, and in despair at losing his son, Yoshitatsu commits suicide to block Tetsuo's escape route, and Tetsuo buries Yoshitatsu's body in the mountains to escape the gangsters, committing another crime.
