In manga about reincarnation in another world, the reincarnated person is generally the strongest with exceptional talent! In many works, the protagonist of this work, "Mushoku Tensei," is a genius and boasts considerable ability, but in reality, he is not that outstanding or the strongest. So who is the strongest and where does the protagonist rank? This time, I will introduce my personal strength ranking of characters who have appeared in all 13 volumes of the manga released by 2020! Please note that this is only based on the strength as of volume 13 of the manga, so fans of the original work should keep this in mind!
10th place: Sylphiette (Fitz)
The 10th place is Sylphy, Rudeus' childhood friend who first learned magic from Rudeus. After that, he changed his name to Fitz and lived as a man. When he entered the magic university, he was attacked by two troublemakers, Rinia and Pursena, and about 20 of his friends, but he seems to have the ability to defeat them all by himself. However, when he fought Rudeus as part of his entrance exam, he was easily defeated by Distab Magic and Stone Bullet, so I chose him as the 10th place.
9th place: Nina Farion
In 9th place is Nina Galfarion, daughter of the Sword God Galfarion. She is a Saint-class swordsman, in the middle of the seven ranks. Above her are King, Emperor, and God-class, which are titles given to the world's most powerful people, and even in the Saint-class, she is a swordsman of a genius level. There is no doubt that she is a genius swordsman who uses the sword of light, but perhaps because she has devoted herself only to sword training, her intelligence is at a disappointing level... I chose her for 9th place because she was beaten down by Eris when she first started.
8th place: Eris Boreas Greyrat
The 8th place is chosen by Eris, one of the heroines. Eris is probably the main heroine in the anime, but she is a swordsman who has grown significantly, although not as much as Rudeus. At first, she called Rudeus to be her tutor and learned magic, but because she had a talent for swordsmanship, she became a swordsman instead of a magician. When she first appeared, Eris was a spoiled young lady who couldn't do anything, but in volume 13 of the comics, she has become a swordsman who is said to be a genius, just like Nina. He continues to level up after this and could have been ranked higher in the original work, but this is a ranking of strength as of volume 13 of the comics, so I chose him as number 8.
Number 7: Paul Greyrat
Number 8 is Paulo, the father of the main character Rudeus. He has a bad habit of women, hurts Rudeus with careless remarks, and is quick to use his sword, so he has many immature aspects, but his sword skills are top-notch. Although he now works as a low-ranking knight in Buena Village, he was originally an adventurer and a skilled swordsman who has mastered all three major schools to the advanced level. In terms of rank, she is inferior to Saint-class Nina and Eris, but she is described as "an ideal swordsman with the combination of the North God Style's fighting style and dual-wielding style, the Water God Style's defense, and the Sword God Style's attack," and her overall ability is considered to be on par with that of a Saint-class swordsman. I was wondering whether to rank her above or below Eris and Nina, but I chose her in 7th place, taking into account her many tactics and experience, and the fact that she was the leader of the "Black Wolf's Fang."
6th place: Roxy Migurdia
In 6th place is Rudeus' master, the demon Roxy. When she first appeared in Volume 1 of the comics, she was already a Saint-class magician and had progressed to becoming a Water King-class magician. She only had one battle scene up until Volume 13, but in that battle she was able to defeat a monster that a group of S-class adventurers could defeat in one hit by exploiting its weak point, so she seems to be quite strong. Although she doesn't have chantless magic like Rudeus, she can use shortened chant spells to cast spells in less time than an average magician. Although she is a water magician, she taught Rudeus various types of magic, so she seems to be able to use a range of other magic spells such as Heal Ring. Although she still looks like a young girl, her actual age is close to 50, so I chose her in 6th place based on her ability and experience.
5th place: Rudeus Greyrat
5th place goes to the protagonist of this work, Rudeus. He learned both swordsmanship and magic from the age of 3, and became a water saint-class magician at the age of 5. He shows genius talent as a magician, using chantless magic, but on the other hand, he was not taught swordsmanship by Paul, who disliked the North God style, which was his aptitude, and his later master, Ghyslaine, was a swordsman of the Sword God style, which was not his aptitude, so he only grew to the intermediate swordsman level. At the graduation exam at the age of 5, he immediately passed with a level of water magic that surprised Roxy. After that, he became famous as "Rudeus of the Quagmire", and even Eris, who became a Saint-class swordsman, evaluated Rudeus, saying, "My current strength is not enough for him." However, he is mentally fragile, so I chose him as the 5th place this time.
4th place: Ghislaine Dedorudia
In 4th place is Ghislaine, Rudeus's disciple and sword master. Nicknamed "Muscle Daruma," he is a beastman who is very stupid and specialized in combat. When Rudeus came to be Eris's tutor, he learned how to read, write, and do arithmetic, and appears to have become able to read and write at a normal level. He also learned magic, and after receiving a wand from Rudeus, he is now able to call himself a magician. However, his main job is swordsmanship. He holds the title of "Sword King", one rank above Eris and the others, and is considered the fourth strongest among the Sword God Style swordsmen (there is one Sword God, two Sword Emperors, and the Sword King Ghyslaine, making it the fourth strongest swordsman of the Sword God Style). Although he is the fourth strongest, we chose him as fourth because the Sword Emperor has not even been mentioned by name, and he has likely gained experience as an adventurer and become stronger since leaving the Holy Land of Swords.
3rd Place: Ruijerd Superdia
The third place is Ruijerd, who helps Rudeus and Eris on the Demon Continent and accompanies them on their journey. The Superd tribe is considered to be particularly dangerous among demons, and Ruijerd is a strong man who has been fighting for over 500 years. Although he generally has a kind personality, he also has a violent side and will kill an enemy without hesitation if they raise a hand against a child. Even Rudeus, who has obtained the Demon Eye and can see into the future, was unable to predict the future of Ruijerd, whose movements change from time to time, and was no match for him. Unlike Eris and Ghyslaine, he did not become someone's apprentice and learn swordsmanship, so he does not have an exact rank, but he is considered to be at the same level as an Imperial-class swordsman, one rank higher than Ghyslaine.
Second place: "Sword God" Gal Farion
Second place is Nina's father, the Sword God Gal Farion. This time, I did not include the God-class "Seven Great World Powers" who are only mentioned by name, but Gal Farion appeared in only two panels, so... (I didn't even have a reference image). He is ranked 6th among the Seven Great World Powers, but the other god-class people have demon or dragon blood in them, making him the strongest pure human in the world. Eris and Ghyslaine are Gal Farion's direct disciples. (He has many disciples, but these are the only two.) Needless to say, his sword skills are among the strongest in the world. When Eris came rampaging in the Holy Land of the Sword, he easily defeated her. In the original work, various things happen after this and he drops significantly in the strength rankings, but as of volume 13, he is far stronger than Eris, so we chose him as 2nd.
1st place: Dragon God Orsted
The Dragon God Orsted is ranked 1st in the strength ranking! He is ranked 2nd among the Seven Great Powers, but Laplace, who is ranked 1st, is divided into two souls, so he is actually ranked 1st. Even if Laplace, who is ranked 1st and 4th, join forces, they are considered to be equal. Orsted, who holds the title of "World's Strongest," has god-level abilities in all fields, including swordsmanship and magic, and even Gal Farion, who has mastered the sword, cannot come close to Orsted's feet. (Even among the Seven Great Powers, there is said to be a huge difference between the top four and the bottom five.) When he first met Rudeus, he sunk Ruijerd and Eris with one blow and even negated Rudeus' magic, showing the overwhelming difference in strength. He also appears in the anime PV, so there is no doubt that he will appear as the strongest character in the anime!
Strength Ranking Summary
So far, we have introduced the "Mushoku Tensei" strength rankings. What do you think? This time, I was wondering where to put Rudeus, whether to rank Paul 9th or 7th, and whether to put Gal Farion in. If you look at the original work, the rankings will change drastically, but this time I'm ranking up to volume 13 of the manga, so I finally decided on these rankings. What do you think of your strength rankings?
