Though Ruijerd may appear to be a young man, he is actually quite elderly. He has fought on the battlefield for over 500 years. However, since the Spelled tribe's lifespan is over 1,000 years, he is likely still in active service. Incidentally, Roxy, also a member of the same demon race (the Migurdo tribe), was 37 years old when she first appeared (though she looked 14). This suggests that demons, not just the Supards, have long lifespans and appear much younger than their actual age.
The Supards were originally the Demon Laplace's Royal Guard
Until about 400 years ago, the Supards were not the infamous race they are today. During that time, they served as the Royal Guard of the Demon Laplace, who unified the demons. Ruijerd was the commander of the Royal Guard at the time. However, the Supards' behavior changed dramatically when they equipped themselves with the magic spear bestowed upon them by the Demon God Laplace. While the magic spear was a powerful weapon that multiplied their physical abilities, it also caused them to become battle-crazed, unable to distinguish between friend and foe, and even engaging in slaughter among their own kind.

A Saint rank is considered a genius, and a King rank is considered one of the world's best, so Emperor rank is considered incredibly strong. Incidentally, Ghyslaine is the "Sword King," so Ruijerd is stronger than her.
