Who is the author of Mushoku Tensei?

Rudeus

The author of Mushoku Tensei is "Rifujin na Magonote" sensei. It's a pretty unusual name, but he is active under this pen name. He is also known by the name "Magonote Sword". He began writing Mushoku Tensei in 2012, and the series began on the well-known site "Let's Become a Novelist". The web version ended in 2015, but the original novel is still being serialized, and as of September 2021, 25 volumes have been published. There are many famous authors who made their debut around the same time, and he is particularly close with Nagatsuki Tappei, the author of "Re:Zero", Akatsuki Natsume, the author of "KonoSuba", Maruyama Kugane, the author of "Overlord", and Carlo Zen, the author of "Saga of Tanya the Evil", and they often give each other copies of their new books.

It's not just the original novel! The manga version of Mushoku Tensei is also extremely popular.

Volume 1 of the manga

Many of the "Narou-kei" works that are born from Let's Become a Novelist are usually made into anime after the comic version is released, and Mushoku Tensei has also been released in comic form. First of all, the main story has been made into a manga. This has been published in Comic Flapper since 2014, and as of September 2021, 15 volumes have been published.

Mushoku Tensei: Even Roxy is Serious

Roxy

Next up was "Mushoku Tensei: Even Roxy is Serious," which has been published on ComicWalkar and NicoNico Seiga since 2017. As the subtitle suggests, Roxy plays the main character in this work. As of September 2021, the series is still being serialized, and eight volumes have been published so far. The series has also participated in the production of anthology books for "K-ON!", and the illustrations are a little cute.

Mushoku Tensei: I'll Seriously Try Even if I'm a 4-Panel Comic

4-Panel Version

The last one to appear was "Mushoku Tensei: I'll Seriously Try Even if I'm a 4-Panel Comic." It was published in Comic Dengeki Daioh from October 2018 to August 2020. There are 23 chapters in total, and three volumes of the comic have been published. The illustrations are even cuter, and as the subtitle suggests, it is a 4-panel comic. By the way, the publisher is KADOKAWA, just like the original novel. In addition to this, a drama CD with a novel has also been released, although it is not a comic.

The animation production company is "Studio Bind Co., Ltd."

Studio Bind Co., Ltd.

When it comes to Mushoku Tensei, the beauty of the images comes to mind. It's a wonderful animation that makes you feel like you're watching a theatrical anime, and the company that produces it is called Bind. To be honest, many people may have thought, "Is there really such a company?", but Bind is an anime production studio that was just founded in 2018. In fact, it was a company created specifically to make Mushoku Tensei into an anime, which is probably why the elaborate animation was created. It's unclear what kind of anime they will produce in the future, but as of 2021, Mushoku Tensei is the only anime that Bind has led the way in. (They also participated in Karakuri Circus as a production collaborator)
