"Mushoku Tensei" began serialization online in 2012 and currently has 23 volumes of the original novel. 13 volumes of the comics have also been published, making it a fairly long-running work, even among "Narou" series. With a series that has continued for this long, there are tons of famous quotes and scenes, but this time we'll be introducing some of the famous quotes and scenes from the comics that are most likely to be adapted into an anime, that we personally think "I definitely want these to be made into an anime!"
Roxy is astounded by Rudeus's talent
"I usually do it without chanting, Sensei. Can't you do it?" Rudeus had no intention of doing so, but after seeing Roxy's skills for the first time, he blurted out a line that seemed to provoke her. Even Roxy, who was a Water Saint Magician at the time, was astonished by these words. Seeing Roxy's astonishment, readers were also surprised, wondering if chantless magic was such an incredible talent. It was such a shock to Roxy that she thought, "She has a talent that will easily surpass mine."
The scene where Rudeus leaves his house for the first time
In his previous life, Rudeus was forcibly kicked out of his house, died in a traffic accident, and was bullied at school. Even after his reincarnation, he had never left his house. Whenever he left the house, he would have flashbacks of his previous life, and his legs would freeze up. It was Roxy who helped Rudeus leave the house. They head to the square where Rudeus can cast saint-level magic to take his magic graduation exam, but when Roxy refuses to leave the grounds, she mistakenly assumes he's afraid of horses and carries him on her horse. Rudeus, easily able to break out of his shell through a misunderstanding and forceful tactics, is more grateful to Roxy for taking him outside than for teaching him magic when she says goodbye.
Paul Impregnates Two Women Simultaneously
This scene left me in shock, thinking, "Paul, what are you doing...?" Just when you thought Zenith's pregnancy would bring a happy ending, Lilia suddenly announces her pregnancy. I was surprised by Lilia's sudden confession, but I was even more surprised when Paul immediately raised his hands and confessed with tears in his eyes. Perhaps it was so shocking that when I searched "Mushoku Tensei Paulo," harsh words like "Paul trash" popped up (lol). Paulo has caused a lot of trouble, but this is definitely the main reason he deserves to be called a "trash."
Ghislaine's Coolest Scene
Personally, my favorite fight scene in all 13 volumes of the manga was Ghislaine's swordplay! When he rushes to Rudeus and Eris's aid, he launches a long-range iaido-like slash that decapitates the enemy. The technique itself is of course cool, but the stance and movement in the comic version are the coolest! There is a single image of this scene in the original work, but I personally prefer the comic version. The tip of his tail twitches when he attacks, and his tail wags wildly after the battle, making it a battle scene full of highlights down to the smallest details.
Eris's Polite Way of Saying Thank You
The scene where she knocks Rudeus down upon her first appearance was quite shocking, but what was even more surprising was the scene where Eris asks so earnestly. The Boreas family employs many beastkin maids, including their bodyguard Ghyslaine, because the Boreas family loves animal ears. The pose where she holds her hair in twin tails is reminiscent of dog ears, and she ends her sentences with "meow." She asks with a smile and a wag of her tail, but Eris's expression is anything but smiling, and it only intimidates. However, seeing this, his grandfather looked on with satisfaction. Incidentally, this "etiquette" seems to have been passed down from grandfather to father, and from father to Eris.
A scene where Roxy is relieved to find Rudeus alive
Sensing something strange above the Fittoa Territory, Rokery became worried and visited the territory, unaware of the teleportation incident. There, he saw the entire Fittoa Territory flattened. He sat down in shock, and, seeing the devastation, wondered if Rudeus was safe. Meanwhile, Roxy learns of a bulletin board listing the names of the dead and missing and rushes to the location. There, she sees Rudeus and his family listed as "missing" rather than "deceased." She exhales deeply and shows a look of relief. Her relieved expression at this point reveals her genuine concern for her student, making this scene a clear example of Roxy's devotion to her students.
What does Zenith have in common? Eris wants to learn cooking.
The three members of Dead End are traveling with Paul's former comrade, Geese. During the journey, Rudeus praised the food Geese had cooked, jokingly saying, "I think I'm falling in love with you!" The tsundere Eris overheard these words. After bringing firewood to Geese, she grabbed a small piece of his clothing and asked to learn how to cook. In fact, this exchange was also present in Geese's memories of the past, when Zenith had asked him to teach her how to cook for Paul. The two are completely different, but seeing Eris like this reminds Geese of the past.
The scene where Rudeus and Paul reconcile
There were several memorable scenes during Rudeus and Paul's reunion. First, the scene where father and son reunite for the first time in four years. Paul appears completely changed. Then there's the big fight scene. Then there's the scene where he lets everything go and jumps on Paul. All of these scenes were memorable, but the most memorable was the scene where, after reconciling and embracing each other, Paul tearfully apologizes to Rudeus after honestly talking about everything that had happened up until that point. Rudeus also sheds tears of joy at being able to repair their relationship, and the father and son continue to cry and apologize for a while. At the end, the broken family photo is repaired with tape, which was also very memorable.
Rudeus and Silphy (Fitz) Reunion
When he first met her, he mistook her for a beautiful boy, then realized she was a beautiful girl when he saw her naked in the bath, and when they met eight years later, he didn't realize that Sylphy had changed her hair color and was pretending to be a boy, but he mistook her for a boy again... When Rudeus found out Sylphy was a girl as a child, he said he would become "insensitive" for her sake, but this scene made me think that he didn't need to become this insensitive... (lol) Many of her characteristics remain, and even her voice is girlish, and Rudeus thinks her mannerisms and scent are sexy, but he doesn't realize that she's a girl, let alone that she's a girl. In a way, it's a reassuring scene to see that she hasn't changed at all since then.
Eris's Pick-Up Line: "I want Rudeus' kitten, meow!"
When Eris says something like that, there's no other way... It's a powerful pick-up line, and it's no wonder it's banned. What's a 13-year-old doing?! You're tempted to ask, but after this, the two spend their first night together, and Eris is no longer a virgin. The two of them quickly climbed the ladder to adulthood, but while Eris has matured mentally and embarked on a new life, Rudeus goes through a tragic climb: his male function dies from the shock of being abandoned after losing his virginity.
The last scene I'd like to introduce is this one featuring Roxy.
My personal favorite scene is this one from Volume 1 of the manga. There were plenty of cool and shocking scenes, but the one that stuck with me the most after I finished reading it was Roxy peeking at Paul and Zenith's nighttime activities, panting heavily (lol). I'm no Rudeus, but it really made me feel like I'd had a good time... Incidentally, seven years later, Roxy's father reveals that she's 44 years old, so Roxy was 37 at the time. Please note that it wasn't a child peeking. It's unclear exactly what and how much he saw, but perhaps this sparked the imaginations of male readers.
