MIX is a baseball manga by Mitsuru Adachi, the creator of Touch. Its popular anime adaptation began airing in spring 2019. Its slow pace, easy-to-read story and illustrations, and gentle gags are sure to bring a smile to your face. This time, we'll be showcasing all the game results for Meisei Academy, home of MIX's protagonist.

Meisei Academy vs. Kitamiya Junior High School Practice Game

Game Results 1

This is the series' first practice game. Touma starts at third base, and Soichiro plays at catcher. Nikaido takes the mound until the fifth inning. Nikaido left the game to the relief pitchers from the fifth inning onward. Meisei somehow managed to hold on and win 5-4. Third baseman Touma also made some fine plays.

After five innings, the game was called, trailing by seven runs. Finally, No. 3 hitter Imagawa hit a running home run, giving the team an 8-1 victory. Nikaido was the only player on the mound that day.

Game Result 4

Nikaido somehow managed to pitch the entire game. Despite some errors by his teammates in the final minutes, they narrowly won. Seeing Nikaido receiving massages from his entourage, Touma and Soichiro complained, but Imagawa told them they should go somewhere else if they were that depressed. The result was a 3-2 victory.

This was a game with not much going on, but Nikaido pitched well again that day. The team won 6-5.

Meisei Gakuen vs. Nakazato: Block Representative Deciding Match at the All-Japan Junior High School Regional Tournament

This tournament was to determine the block representative. Nikaido, amazingly, won 2-0 with a shutout, finally earning a spot in the Tokyo Tournament.

Meisei Gakuen vs. Suijin: First Round of the Tokyo Tournament in the All-Japan Junior High School Regional Tournament

In the early innings, due to Nikaido's absence, Yasuno started the game. Suijin also conserved their ace pitcher, Nishimura. Suijin replaced Nishimura midway through the game, but Meisei maintained a lead until the middle of the game. However, in the fifth inning, Yasuno was replaced by Nikaido, who had just arrived at the stadium. From there, they allowed a large number of runs and suffered a crushing defeat, 5-10.

Touma started for the first time. However, Soichiro only allowed him to throw curveballs. Apparently, this was also a chance for practical defensive practice. The outcome is unknown.

This was Touma's first no-hitter. They won 4-0. As usual, Touma and Koma continued to argue after the game. This was also the last game depicted in the middle school division.

Toshu is a powerhouse team that made it to the top eight at Koshien last year. Touma came on to the mound with the bases loaded and no outs in the third inning. He brilliantly executed a triple play with just one pitch. He then allowed two hits and no earned runs. However, ace pitcher Mita pitched a perfect game, resulting in a 0-5 loss.

Kenjo, who plays with Akai's older brother, hits a two-run home run in his third at-bat. However, the team takes the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. The team's final batter, who is right before Akai, ends their attack. They win 3-2.

Though Touma said he was in good form, he allowed runners on base every inning. However, he managed to finish the game hitless, winning 3-0. Meisei was starting to attract attention with his no-hitter.

Although they allowed a hit, they still managed a shutout victory in this game, winning 3-0 without any trouble. Apparently, their father also secretly came to watch the game while at work.

Meisei Gakuen vs. Kaiwangsai, East Tokyo Tournament Quarterfinals

 

Due to fatigue from pitching consecutive games, Touma was rested for this game. Takeshita was the pitcher. Although Nango scored a home run to take the lead, the score gradually narrowed, and by the bottom of the ninth inning, they were trailing 3-6. However, in the final inning, the opposing pitcher cramped up while pitching. From there, they pulled off a stunning comeback victory, 7-6, and advanced to the semifinals.

A battle against Toshu, led by ace pitcher Mita. Both Touma and Mita fought tooth and nail. The game went into extra innings with the score still 0-0. The coach tried to substitute Touma, but Soichiro stopped him. During the game, Touma imitated Mita's pitching form and gradually perfected it. However, in the 14th inning, an error by Touma resulted in a run being scored, resulting in a 0-1 loss.

The starting pitcher was second-stringer Natsuno. He aimed for a no-hitter for Otomi. And he successfully achieved a no-hitter. However, Natsuno walked too many batters. The game ended in a 4-3 victory.

Natsuno started the game. They gave up three runs in the fourth inning. Touma took over. From there, they didn't allow any runs, but Soichiro began to teach the opponent the type of pitch and the trajectory. Still, they didn't score a single run. They ended up losing 1-3.

Game Results: Final Words

Looking back, they've lost quite a few games. I really hope they can make it to Koshien!
