In the second season of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Rikka finally meets her love rival, Nanamiya Tomone! She is also the reason why Yuuta developed chunibyo, and she learned more about Yuuta's past than Rikka did, falling in love with him before him. Nanamiya, who has a distinctive "Niihahahaha" laugh, calls herself "Magical Demon Lord Girl Sophia Ring SP Saturn VII" and suffers from chuunibyou just as much, if not more, than Rikka. Just as Rikka's admiration for Yuuta led to her chuunibyou, Shichimiya was someone Yuuta admired in middle school.

As Rikka and her friends spend their afternoons at school as usual, a strange announcement suddenly begins playing over the school's internal broadcasting system. "Hey angel, we've come to wage war." Hearing these words, Rikka and Tokomori head towards the broadcasting room. The girl waiting for them there is none other than Nanamiya Tomone... but Nanamiya is a student from another school, so if this is true, it would be a major problem.
After learning of their relationship, Tomone Nanamiya decides to support Yuuta and Rikka...

While eating at Yuuta's house, Kuzuha informs Nanamiya that the two are dating. After a brief pause, Nanamiya smiles, takes Yuuta's hand, and says happily, "That's great," before taking Rikka's hand and saying she'll support the couple. However, when she grabbed Yuuta's hand with both hands and pressed her nose against his, Rikka couldn't help but exclaim, "That was close!"

When you think of Nanamiya, you think of this flower pochi. It's the Nanamiya-style greeting, where you press noses together, but when a high school boy and girl do it, it just looks like they're lovers. Nanamiya, in the same old way, turned Konohana Pochi into Yuuta. When Rikka saw this, her face turned red with anger, jealousy, and embarrassment and she froze up.

The day before their Nap Club match against another school, Yuuta and his friends gather at Yuuta's house to play games and other activities to help them fall asleep. However, before they knew it, Shichimiya had naturally joined in, dancing and singing duets with Yuuta... The other members ignored her, but Rikka noticed something strange and panicked.

Everyone was supposed to stay up late, but they all slept soundly. Right in front of Rikka's eyes is the sight of Yuuta and Nanamiya sleeping together... Nanamiya is woken up by Rikka's cry of "What the heck is this?" and gives her a good morning hana-pochi. Apparently it was an old habit, but to have a relationship where they've been hana-pochi since middle school...I'm jealous.

Though they attend different schools, Shichimiya and Yuuta arrive at the same destination on the same day. To make matters even more special, Yuuta, who was traveling separately from his group, happens to pass by just as Shichimiya is at a loss after losing her bag. Overjoyed, Nanamiya leaps towards Yuuta, but Rikka stands between them, grimacing.

The plan Yuuta and Nanamiya used to retrieve a doll from a dog in their middle school days was called "Setsuna no Jin Kai." When Yuuta retrieves Shichimiya's bag from a monkey during the school trip, he mutters the name "Setsuna no Jin Kai" to Shichimiya. Perhaps happy that Yuuta remembered from the past, Shichimiya takes his position with a happy look on his face.

Episode 7 reveals Shichimiya's feelings in middle school. She fell in love with Yuuta so much that she no longer cared about her chuunibyou. She suppressed her feelings because she was afraid her chuunibyou self would disappear. It's packed with heartbreaking elements.

While her strong character and eccentric fashion, such as wearing a scarf even in the middle of summer, often overlook her true self, Nanamiya has such an incredible figure that she's even said to have hidden breasts. She appears in a bikini in episode 9 of Going to the Sea. While not as lush as Morika Yakumin-senpai, she still showed off a rather voluptuous figure.

Shinamiya is inspired by Rikka's decision to choose both chuunibyou and romance, just like her own past self. On the train ride home, she thinks, "If only I had been there back then..." as she recalls the time she spent with Yuuta, and the feelings she had when she was in love with him come flooding back.

In order to erase her feelings for Yuuta, Shichimiya tries to give up everything by asking Yuuta to tell her his feelings for Rikka. Every time Shichimiya hears that Yuuta loves Rikka, she collapses in pain. In the end, she manages to hold back her tears and declare victory, but...

Yuta returns to Nanamiya, holding back tears in the rain and declaring victory. Yuuta finally bursts into tears at the sudden attack. The scene where she yells "No!" at Yuuta at this point is heartbreaking to watch.

Just a mundane, ordinary farewell. However, Nanamiya has a policy that "when you say goodbye, it's goodbye," and even when she and Yuuta were separated when they transferred schools in middle school, she didn't even say goodbye. But then the words "bye-bye" came out of Nanamiya's mouth. With a sad smile on her face, it's clear that it wasn't just a simple greeting.

She starts out full of energy, and at first seems like a character similar to Tokoro. However, as the story progresses, there are a series of heartbreaking scenes. Nanamiya chose chuunibyou over romance... There are many painful scenes for fans, but I hope you will watch until the end.
