This Friend belongs to the family Caprifoliidae, genus Caprifoli. Its entire body is covered in a black cape, and a beautiful yellow-to-blue gradient ribbon on its chest gives it a beautiful appearance. Under the cape, it wears black shorts and tights. Long decorative feathers extend from its head, giving it a flashy appearance. The bird that inspired it, the Crimson Bird of Paradise, is also said to have been the model for the Bird of Paradise, with its beautiful black body, chest feathers, and head feathers. Another distinctive feature is the dance that males perform when courting. This Friend was also made into a dancer with this in mind. It is always together with the Red-streaked Bird of Paradise, which is in the same family as the Capricornis.

This new voice actress won the audition for the new unit held at the same time as the announcement of the anime "Kemono Friends 2" on September 2, 2018. Her nickname is "Kan-chan." She is also appearing in the stage play "Kemono Friends 2: Beasts of a Snowy Night," and we look forward to her future success as the voice actress for the Bird of Paradise Flycatcher.

Madoka Suga has announced her participation as part of the unit "Gothic×Luck" with Mashiro Yagi (voice of Katakake Fuchou), who also passed the audition. Similar to their roles in Doubutsu Biscuits and PPP, which were active in the first season of the anime, they are expected to play a multifaceted role in anime, events, and more.
