"Kemono Friends" is an anime about the adventures of a group of animals in the form of girls in a relaxed and mysterious world. At first, it was said that it would lower IQ (not a bad thing), but as the story progressed, hidden mysteries were revealed and it joined the ranks of popular anime. Here we will introduce some famous scenes from this popular series.

10th place: Kanetomo Recital?

The scene in episode 3 where Toki first appears was intense. His tone-deaf singing of "I'm Toki" made Serval dizzy and Lucky Beast faint. It's so intense that when he sings, something like ultrasound is emitted. By the way, this scene was also improvised by Tomoko Kaneda, the voice actress of Toki, and was highly praised by the staff and co-stars.

No. 9 Kaban, Controlling Fire

In episode 7, the professor asks Kaban to cook something in exchange for telling him what kind of animal it is. Fire is needed for this, so Kaban uses a magnifying glass to focus sunlight on the paper, which easily lights it up. Kaban fearlessly controls the fire and cooks the food, but the professor and the other Friends are afraid of fire and don't dare go near it. This is the scene that confirms that Kaban is a "human" Friend. It also shows that fire is the source of civilization, something only humans can control, something that other animals cannot imitate.

8th place: Fun

In this scene in episode 2, where Asian small-clawed otters are playing, the phrase "Fun" was born, which symbolizes Kemono Friends. This scene shows the honesty of enjoying even the most ordinary of things, and the wonderfulness of expressing your thoughts as you wish. I felt like my heart was being cleansed, and I felt like I understood what Kemono Friends is like in this anime after just two episodes.

No. 7: Lucky Beast's Emotions?

In episode 11, Kaban and the others carry out a plan to lure the giant Cerulean into the sea in order to defeat it. However, Serval gets eaten along the way, and Kaban goes alone to face the Ceruleans to save her. In order to make the plan a success, Lucky Beast is carried by Brown Bear and heads out to sea, but as he senses Kaban's determination, his eyes light up in rainbow colors. As an artificial intelligence, Lucky Beast should not have any emotions, but at this moment, you can sense feelings of loneliness and sadness in him. This ties into Lucky Beast's lines in episode 12, but it's a memorable scene in which Lucky Beast himself seems to have made up his mind, realizing that their fun journey together as a trio can no longer continue.

6th place: Welcome to Japari Cafe~

The series of scenes with the alpaca Suri, who Kaban and the others met in episode 3, is a must-see. The alpaca who runs Japari Cafe speaks in a unique, strong Tochigi dialect, which is cute and soothing to the viewers. There was also a scene where, upon realising that the bag was not a customer's, he spat out, saying "It's not a customer... Pfft!" It was unexpectedly shocking, but strangely, even that was cute. By the way, real alpacas also spit when they feel stressed. It really captures the characteristics of the original animal.

No. 5: Explanation of animals

One of the features of Kemono Friends is the explanation of animals that is included in the middle of the anime. The animals that are the basis for the Friends that play an active role in that episode are actually interviewed by zookeepers who are in charge of raising them at zoos. It's a good anime for education, as you can learn a little about animals while watching the anime. You can also feel the love and enthusiasm of the zookeepers for the animals, which makes you feel attached to not only the Friends but also the animals themselves, and makes you fall in love with the anime itself.

No. 4: Paper Plane of Flames

In episode 12, the Friends fight a giant Cerulean and somehow manage to rescue their bag after it is eaten. However, just as they let their guard down, Cerulean attacks again. At the moment when many of the Friends are about to be eaten, Serval sets the paper airplane on fire to distract Cerulean. She saves everyone by making full use of the things Kaban had previously taught her, such as how to make paper airplanes and how to use fire. Kaban is not the only one who has grown as the two of them have traveled together; Serval has as well. Perhaps because she made this paper airplane by copying, it looks a bit tattered compared to Kaban's, but you can see how hard Serval has worked, which brings a tear to your eye.

3rd place Thank you... Stay well

Farewell to Serval

I will never forget the emotion and impact of episode 11. First of all, I was moved by Kaban's courage in standing up to save Serval, who had been eaten by Cerulean. Furthermore, I was also moved by the growth of Kaban, who was able to climb trees and swim, which he had been weak at, through his journey. However, he is unable to escape the Ceruleans and Kaban ends up being eaten in his place. It is touching to see Kaban risking her life for her friend, as up until that point she had only been scared and told them not to eat her. This touching moment, along with the shocking development of Kaban being eaten, left many fans in tears and confused as they waited until episode 12, making this a memorable scene.

2nd Place: Everyone Together!

All together

In episode 12, the Friends that Kaban has met gather together to save her after she is eaten by Cerulean. Kaban's kindness, efforts, and sincere feelings towards her Friends also forged bonds with the other Friends, saving the park from crisis. Although it was a classic final episode where everyone gathered together, it felt like a culmination of Kaban's journey, and with the title logo and opening theme playing in the background, it couldn't have been more exciting, and fans were sure of victory. In particular, their fighting style of "making use of their strengths" - attacking directly when they're good at fighting, and using other tasks or what they can do when they're not - is a scene that really represents the theme of Kemono Friends, as it connects with the line from episode 1, "Different Friends have different strengths," and the opening line, "Everyone looks different, that's why they're attracted to each other."

No. 1 - A new journey

Serval and Kaban leave on their journey

In episode 12, Kaban leaves her friends and sets off on a journey to the next island, "Gokokuchiho." The story ends here, but at the very end, Serval chases after Kaban and the two of them set off on another journey together. She then meets a new friend who appears from the sea and says, "Let's be friends," and the anime ends. The two's journey continues, and the bright ending suggests that the journey will surely be full of fun, making it a fitting grand finale for "Kemono Friends."

There are many other scenes and quotes from Kemono Friends that you can't get out of your head for some reason. Each character has a unique personality and always makes some interesting remarks, so you won't get bored watching it. Although the style is laid back, there are hints scattered throughout the series, and the sudden turn of events in episode 11 make it worth watching, making it an anime you can watch over and over again. Immerse yourself in the world of Kemono Friends by watching it over and over again, and wait for the new series with excitement.
