"Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!" is a series currently being serialized in Monthly Gangan Joker, and will be broadcast as an anime from August 2021. It is a heartwarming comedy about unfortunate and pitiable, yet cute characters who endure terrible experiences that bring them to tears but still persevere, and most of the characters are unfortunate in some way. Synopsis 1: Jahy-sama, the Demon World's No. 2, Arrives in the Human World
Powerful, magical, and beautiful, Jahy-sama was the Demon King's closest aide and the No. 2 in the Demon World. She was feared and respected by everyone in the Demon World (past tense). However, when a magical girl attacked the Demon World and destroyed the magic stone that was her source of power, Jahy-sama lost most of her powers and was sent to the Human World. Having lost her magical powers and become a tiny girl, Jahy-sama still refuses to give up and continues her quest to restore the Demon World...
Synopsis 2: Jahy-sama Forced to Live on Bean Sprouts in Poverty
Without magical power, power, or money, Jahy-sama's life is a far cry from her days of arrogant self-importance in the Demon World. She lives in a shabby 40-year-old apartment, with no bath, and bean sprouts for dinner. What little magical power she has left is forced to be used for part-time work. Jahy-sama barely manages to make ends meet by working part-time at an izakaya. For Jahy-sama, a proud woman, serving customers of the lower classes is unbearable, but she has no choice. Jahy-sama's mental state has been tormented by the cruel human world, but she still works hard to rebuild the demon world.
Synopsis 3: Jahy-sama Meets Her Former Subordinate, Durji
Jahy-sama meets her former subordinate, Durji, in the human world. Jahy-sama often forced Durji to obey unreasonable orders, but Durji was so devoted to her that he happily obeyed them. However, in the human world, Durji had started a highly successful company under the name Dojima. In the human world, their positions are completely reversed, but Jahy-sama's loyalty to her remains undiminished. There's no way she could tell her subordinates that she lives in extreme poverty, eating bean sprouts for dinner. Synopsis 5: Jahy-sama Battles the Landlord
Jahy-sama has a nemesis: her landlord, who demands rent every month. This wicked landlord threatens to evict her from the apartment if she doesn't pay (naturally). Her landlady is the younger sister of the manager of the store where she works part-time, but unlike her sister, she has a competitive personality, and appealing to her feelings is futile. She's also small-breasted. Absolutely unwilling to pay her rent, Jahy-sama desperately runs away from her landlady. The landlady desperately chases after Jahy-sama, but they're discovered by the manager and both receive a scolding.
Synopsis 6: Jahy-sama Gets Lost in the Mountains
After sensing a reaction from the magic stone, the source of her magical power, Jahy-sama equips herself with what little money she has and climbs the mountain. However, a crow steals the small magic stone she's carrying, she gets lost, and her food runs out. Just when it seems she will eventually die from being hit by the rain, she finds a small bird that has fallen from its nest and, using all her strength, returns it to the nest. There she finds the magic stone that had been taken by a crow and the large magic stone she was looking for, and achieves her goal. She thought she was lost, but it turns out she was not deep in the mountains or anything, but in the mountains behind her apartment, so she is rescued by a passing landlord. She loses all the equipment she had bought with her meager savings, but she gets the magic stone and is one step closer to restoring the demon world. Great!
Synopsis 7: Demon world elite Salwa-chan appears!
Jahy-sama, No. 2 in the Demon World, has always been targeted by ambitious individuals. One of them is Salwa, an elite member of the Demon World. Salwa has challenged Jahy-sama countless times in the past, but has always been defeated. Salwa was also sent to the human world and is still targeting Jahy-sama. Salwa was a genius inventor, but frankly, he was a complete loser, far surpassing Jahy-sama. In the past, he challenged Jahy-sama, but he destroyed himself before the battle even began. This time, he attempts to use a magic-enhancing potion he had been preparing for three months, but drops it before he can use it, ruining it and destroying himself.
Sarwa-chan Continued
Sarwa comes up with a convoluted plan: using her original "Transform Anything Drop" to transform into Jahy-sama and ruin her reputation. However, Salwa, whose mental state is far weaker than Jahy-sama's, is extorted by her landlord for the rent. Salwa, a good person at heart, takes Jahy-sama's part-time shift and pleases customers and the store manager with her thoughtful attention to detail. This ultimately raises Jahy-sama's reputation, further fueling her selfish misunderstandings.
Synopsis 8: Magical Girl Attack!
The hateful magical girl who destroyed the demon world attacks Jahy-sama's apartment. The magical girl has arrived to destroy the magic stone, and while she doesn't harm Jahy-sama, her behavior is somewhat unfortunate. The unfortunate magical girl tries to retrieve the magic stone, but Jahy-sama desperately resists, as the magic stone is her lifeline. The landlord and police arrive and take the magical girl away, but Jahy-sama is forced to live in fear of the magical girl.
The Magical Girl Returns!
Jahy-sama finds a student who possesses a magic stone and tells him to offer it to her, but that student's true identity is that magical girl. Ordinary people who possess magic stones are subject to Pythagorean-like misfortune, like being hit by a car or having a flowerpot fall on them. However, magical girls are incredibly strong, and are incredibly beautiful, with a sad side whose reason for existence is to bear the misfortune of the magic stone on someone else's shoulders. In the end, Jahy-sama's magic stone is stolen from her in the confusion.
Become Friends with a Magical Girl?
Jahy-sama is tasked with collecting magic stones and fighting a magical girl. However, the magical girl is a lonely girl with no friends and no one to love. One day, the magical girl receives a divine mission to collect magic stones and bear everyone's misfortune. Having no one to rely on, the magical girl begins to feel a sense of purpose in life by collecting magic stones and bearing the misfortune of others. However, Jahy-sama's past experiences have taught her to appreciate the support of those who support her. Jahy-sama tells the magical girl, "I won't let you bear all my misfortune alone!" The magical girl, desperate for a friend, becomes dependent on Jahy-sama and begins to stalk her.
The Demon King Returns!?
It's great that the magical girl has joined the group, but she's so happy to have made a friend that she starts following her around, almost to the point of being annoying. Jahy-sama finds her behavior a bit heavy and annoying, but she's invited to the magical girl's house under the pretext of preparing some sweets and collecting magic stones. The house has become like a haunted mansion due to the large amount of magic stones. Despite living in such a dangerous mansion, the magical girl is afraid of ghosts and has left the magic stones she's collected in a certain room. There, Jahy-sama senses a certain presence. It's undoubtedly the presence of the Demon King, the number one in the demon world. The Demon King, whom Jahy-sama adored, had somehow been resurrected! He had shrunk to the size of Jahy-sama, but he was undoubtedly the Demon King.
