What are dragon slayers?

Ability wizards who appear in Fairy Tail. They are rare wizards who can use "Dragon Slayer Magic", which gives their bodies the same characteristics as dragons, and are broadly divided into three generations. The main character, Natsu Dragneel, belongs to the first generation. Dragon Slayer magic was originally conceived by some dragons in ancient times when humans and dragons still lived together, who planned to give humans the same powers as themselves and use them as a counterforce against the hostile dragons. Characteristics of Dragon Slayers

The greatest characteristic of Dragon Slayers is that they can use their power by consuming things that match their attributes. For example, Natsu can breathe fire by consuming objects that emit flames, blasts, or heat energy (such as magma or molten iron). Originally, Slayers, including other God Slayers and Demon Slayers, can only convert things that match their characteristics into energy, but some Dragon Slayers can use hybrid magic such as Lightning Flame Dragon and Iron Shadow Dragon by consuming things that other Dragon Slayers prey on.

He is nicknamed "Gajeel the Iron Dragon". Like Natsu, he is an "iron dragon slayer" of unknown age. His parent dragon's name is "Metacarina". He is a young man with spiky brown hair and sharp eyes and fangs reminiscent of a snake. He can hear the inner voices of his opponents. He can hear the voices of not only humans but also Exceeds and snakes, so it seems possible for anyone with human-level intelligence to do so. Like other Dragon Slayers, he powers up by eating poison and pathogens (Natsu says "it seems bad for the body"). In order to defeat Acnologia with his own hands, he abandoned the continent of Ishgar, traveled west to Arakitasia, and defected to the Alvarez Empire.

Sting Eucliffe
