There are many intriguing aspects of "Edens Zero," such as its story and character strength. This time, we're introducing a ranking of popular characters, focusing not only on strength but also on appearance and personality. Even if a character isn't a main character or a strong character, they're still attractive! While this ranking features a lot of cute heroines, we'll still introduce some of the most appealing characters!
10th Place: Happy
In tenth place is Happy, a familiar face from Fairy Tail. Along with Plue, this mysterious blue cat is quickly becoming a mascot character for Hiro Mashima's works, rather than just for Edens Zero. In Edens Zero, she lost her life in a past accident and appears as an android, but her character and appearance remain essentially the same as in Fairy Tail. In the previous work, she was the partner of the protagonist Natsu, but this time she appears as the partner of the heroine Rebecca. While she still has a slightly absent-minded personality, she can transform into a gun and is useful not only for healing but also for combat. Incidentally, it was the elderly Wise who transformed Happy into a cyborg.
Ninth Place: Hermit Mio
In ninth place is Hermit, the only child character among the Four Radiant Stars of the Demon King. Although he looks like a child, he is an android and existed in the same form as Elsie when she was a child, meaning he has lived a very long time in human years. He initially had an expressionless personality, but after returning to the Edens Zero crew, he began to smile. His main focus is hacking, so he doesn't have many flashy moves. He joined the crew late, and likely has fewer screen time than the other members in the anime, which is why I ranked him ninth. However, he is a very charming character, and I think he would become even more popular if he appeared in more scenes.
Eighth Place: EM = Pino
Eighth place goes to Pino, the mascot character from Edens Zero. Along with Happy, Pino serves as a mascot character, but unlike Happy, he has not appeared in previous works. However, Pino was created by Ziggy and given the nickname "Light of Edens," similar to the Four Radiant Stars of the Demon King. When he first appeared, he had lost his memory and one leg and had a sad expression on his face. However, after joining Shiki and the others, he began to smile more frequently, and his charming large eyes became more prominent. Pino's dream is to become human. With that dream in mind, he continues his journey to find Mother.
Seventh Place: Wise Steiner
Seventh place goes to Wise, a former thief turned genius scientist. There are two Wises in this series, the younger one being Wise. The older one, who saved Happy by turning him into an android, is called Old Wise, but it's the younger one who made it onto the list this time. He possesses Ether Gear, which allows him to freely modify machines. He quickly escapes crisis aboard Edens Zero with extensive modifications, and it seemed as though he might become a crew member and captain. However, after Hermit joins the crew, he begins fighting in a powered suit, becoming a valuable asset.
Sixth Place: Sister Ivry
Sixth place goes to Sister Ivry, also known as "the life of Edens." She wears a nun's uniform and goes by the name "Sister," but she has a foul mouth, silver hair, and a total delinquent appearance. She refers to herself as "ore." Not only is she pretty, but her personality is also quite sadistic, and torture is her specialty. She seems to have inflicted particularly cruel torture on those who used her name to cause trouble, and on her enemy, Daichi. Her torture method doesn't just involve inflicting pain, but also makes use of her special "healing ability," which she specializes in, and she breaks, heals, breaks, heals... and continues this endlessly until she gets bored. However, she is kind to those who are not villains or enemies, and when she was given time off by Ziggy and away from Edens Zero, she traveled around the country performing healing procedures. She also risked her life to treat Kleene, saying that once she took on a case, she would absolutely help.
Fifth Place: Witch Regret
Fifth place goes to Witch Regret, also known as the "Shield of Edens." She's one of the Four Radiant Stars of the Demon King, and is calm and collected. While her helmet usually hides only half of her face, when she takes it off for cosplay, she's so beautiful you'll be surprised at her beauty. She's kind to her fellow members of Edens Zero, acting like a mother to them, but as her nickname "Shield" suggests, she's merciless towards her enemies. While the Sisters may seem like rough characters, the Witches are even more fearsome when enraged. They're unstoppable when they lose their temper, stomping on their enemies' necks and declaring, "I will show no mercy."
Fourth Place: Elsie Crimson
In fourth place is Elsie Crimson, who shares the same face as the popular Fairy Tail character Erza. Not only does she resemble Erza, but she also shares her outstanding style and the way she uses star ether to transform into various weapons for combat. Elsie, a war orphan as a child, was picked up by Ziggy and lived with the Four Radiant Stars of the Demon King. She later received Edens Zero from Ziggy and handed it over to Shiki. Her personality is similar to Erza's, and she is the type who exerts her strength for her comrades rather than for herself. Not only does she help the crew of her ship, but she also rushed to the aid of Shiki and his friends when they were under attack, enraging them. Since she was picked up by Ziggy before Shiki, Shiki may be like a younger brother to Elsie. Incidentally, Erza from Fairy Tail came in second place after Natsu in a popularity poll celebrating the anime's 10th anniversary, beating out the main heroine Lucy. She currently appears less frequently, so we've put her in fourth place, but there's no doubt that Erza, who is identical in every way to the character, will become popular, so we look forward to seeing her continue to do great things in the future.
Third Place: Homura Kougetsu
Third place goes to Homura Kougetsu, a beautiful girl who looks great in traditional Japanese clothing. Following in the footsteps of her late master, Valkyrie, she became known as the "Sword of Edens" and one of the Four Radiant Stars of the Demon King. She has an almost overly honest personality, and her tendency to blurt out what she thinks is a bit of a problem. She's known for her unique use of words, such as "because," and her charming feature is the mole under her left eye. Traditionally, Japanese clothing is low-exposure, but when Homura wears it, for some reason it becomes very revealing... Not only do her clothes get torn and open, but sometimes they even come off completely or she changes into a bunny costume, and she is often used as a sex appeal element more than the heroine Rebecca. Her personality is just as headstrong as Shiki, and while Shiki tries to make friends with anyone, Homura tries to spar with anyone. Incidentally, although her clothes are quite revealing, she is also depicted as being embarrassed when wearing a bikini, and it seems that she has the same level of modesty as a normal girl.
Second Place: Shiki Granbell
Second place goes to Shiki, the protagonist of Eden's Zero. When popularity polls are conducted for manga and other media, protagonists often rank surprisingly low. However, Natsu took the top spot in Fairy Tail's 10th anniversary popularity poll, so it's likely that Shiki from Eden's Zero will also be a popular character. Like previous protagonists, he has a hot-blooded personality. Having been raised on a planet inhabited only by robots, he had no opportunity to interact with humans. Since he went into space, he tries to befriend every human he sees. Shiki's threshold for becoming a "friend" is extremely low. Even when Homura, whom he had just met, asked him to spar, he already considered her a friend and said, "I don't want to fight with a friend." His fighting style is similar to Natsu's. Although their elemental attributes are different (fire and gravity), they often engage in close combat with bare hands.
1st Place: Rebecca Blue Garden
Our top pick is Rebecca Blue Garden, the heroine of Eden's Zero. She is active in a similar way to the YouTuber "B. Cubar," and has a channel called "AONEKO Channel." To gain viewers, she sometimes goes the sexy route, and while she's tied up and struggling, she sometimes thinks, "Maybe I can get more views by using a bait-and-switch thumbnail." However, she doesn't seem to be that popular as B. Cubar. At first, she was skilled at shooting, transforming Happy into a gun to fight, but later awakened a special ability called Cat Reaper, which allowed her to travel through time and space. Since Lucy was chosen as number one in the first Fairy Tail popularity poll, beating out Natsu, there's a good chance the main heroine will be popular, so we've chosen her as number one this time.
Edens Zero Popularity Ranking Summary
So far, we've introduced the popularity rankings of characters appearing in Edens Zero. Personally, I also liked the siblings Gin and Kleene, but I didn't rank them this time because I wasn't sure if their story would be fully told in one season. As always, there are many characters with incredible figures, so choosing a female character can be a tough task. Which character was your number one?
