Taichi's partner Digimon is Agumon!
Taichi's partner Digimon, like in the original series, is Agumon. A reptilian Digimon, it resembles a small orange dinosaur. Agumon is in its growth stage, and when it evolves it becomes Greymon, and after super evolution it becomes MetalGreymon, and after ultimate evolution it becomes WarGreymon. It is usually laid-back and gluttonous, but when it fights it is brave and strong. Although it is not very fast, it possesses tremendous power and overwhelms its enemies with its flames and claws. When it is Agumon, it attacks with "Baby Flame", which spits small flames.
First time meeting Yamato? Relationships with Other Chosen Children
In the original, all of the "Chosen Children" were set to be children living in the neighborhood, but in this Digimon Adventure:, only Sora Takenouchi and Koshiro Izumi are acquainted with Taichi. At the beginning of Digimon Adventure:, he meets Yamato in the network space, but he has no idea about Yamato. Incidentally, he and Sora are in the same class and have been best friends ever since, and Sora and Taichi's family also have a relationship. As for Koshiro, they were not close, except that they lived in the same apartment building, but they became close after Taichi was transported to the network space. Agumon and Gabumon evolve into a combined Omegamon, and a fierce battle ensues. Even though it's Taichi's first battle, he fights bravely and without flinching. Fans of the original Digimon Adventure were likely surprised by Omegamon's appearance.
Battle with Perfect MetalTyrannomon!
Adult Greymon faces off against Perfect MetalTyrannomon, dozens of times his size! Despite being attacked repeatedly, Taichi and Greymon's spirit remains unbroken. "We won't lose!" they unite and fight, even as they are left battered and bruised. When this resolve reaches its peak, Greymon undergoes Super Evolution and becomes MetalGreymon! MetalGreymon defeats MetalTyrannomon with the Giga Destroyer II. MetalGreymon's super-evolved battle was overwhelming and dynamic. After successfully defeating MetalTyrannomon, Taichi and Agumon embrace, a scene that's definitely worth watching.
A Fierce Battle with Devimon, a Familiar Feature from the Original Series!
Fans of the original series will remember Devimon, the first boss. In Digimon Adventure:, this Devimon evolves into its ultimate form, DanDevimon, a form not seen in the original series. Taichi fights alongside Yamato, MetalGreymon, and WereGarurumon, protecting Yamato in dangerous situations. While I can't reveal any details to avoid spoilers, Taichi's strong sense of justice leads him to go out of control. There are scenes that show his bond with Agumon, making this a must-see battle.
