A spin-off of Detective Conan, Fukazawa-san the Criminal, has been turned into an anime! Set in a parallel world to Conan, it's a mischievous story that's full of mischief, so even if Zero's Daily Life is made into an anime, I thought this one wouldn't be able to be made, but it's actually been made into an anime! Fukazawa-san is expected to be even more interesting with the addition of voice acting and Conan-specific directing, and not only will it feature characters from the original work, but many original characters from this work will also appear. Here, we've compiled a list of the original characters that appear in Fukazawa-san.

Original character No. 1: Hanzawa-san the criminal

Hanzawa-san

A pure-hearted tourist who has come to the crime-ridden city of Beika-cho to achieve a certain goal, wearing all-black tights. His name is Hanzawa-san the criminal. He is the protagonist of this work, and is the source of the image of the criminal depicted in the main story of Conan when the culprit is unknown. His goal is to kill a certain person... but he has a pure, harmless, and kind-hearted personality that makes it hard to believe that. Normally, he is a very sensible and complete person, but in Beika-cho, he is rather a heretic. In Beika Town, where crime is rife, he gets caught up in incidents, has his money scammed, and is manipulated by eccentric residents, all while struggling in the rough seas of Beika Town.

He looks like he's wearing black tights, but...

His gender is unknown because he's wearing black tights. However, he is depicted in the men's bath at the public bath, so it is thought that he may be male. His real name is Hanzawa Masato, and he hails from Izumo, Shimane Prefecture. Is it because of the author's hometown? The fact that he wears tights before is just for presentation purposes, and the character seems to be seen as normal.

Original character No. 2: Hayashi Kazuo

Real estate agency

A middle-aged man who runs the real estate agency "Yomehana Real Estate" that Hanzawa visits in search of a place to live. He introduces a cheap property, but then takes the outrageous step of introducing a property that has been involved in an accident. However, this is due to the nature of the area, as there are few properties that have not been involved in an accident in the crime-ridden city of Beika Town, and he was not acting with any ill intentions. He is murdered by Hanbayashi, who lived in a shared house.

Original character No. 3: Hanbayashi Tsutomu

Hanbayashi

A person who lived in the share house that Hanzawa-san chose. He seemed to get along well with Hanzawa-san for some reason, but he was arrested for murdering Hayashi Kazuo. Apparently, the arrest was triggered by the eyewitness testimony of an elementary school student who was present at the scene... Later, he escapes from prison and appears before Hanzawa-san again, but is arrested again soon after.

Original Characters #4: Party People

Party People

The residents of the share house where Hanzawa-san moved. They are a cheerful group of people who always party while shouting "Yay!". At first, Hanzawa-san couldn't get along with the atmosphere, but he somehow managed to get along with them. Although they seem to be playing without working, they are actually party people working as dispatched workers. In the rough town of Beika-cho, there is a demand for such party people, and they make quite a bit of money. They are such cheerful people, but they are party people with the tragic resolve that it would not be strange for them to die at any time while living in Beika-cho.

Original character No. 5: The Manager

Landlord

The manager of the share house where Hanzawa lives. She is a beautiful and gentle woman, but she is very strict and merciless towards those who cannot pay their rent.

Original characters No. 6: Colleagues at work

Part-time colleagues

Hanzawa's colleagues at his part-time job. However, they are all excellent detectives who always get caught up in cases, so they can't get any work done, and the work always ends up going to Hanzawa. Hakuba Saguru, a character from Magic Kaito, also works there, but he also gets caught up in cases, so he leaves his pet hawk (Watson) behind instead. Due to his long life in England, he has a belligerent and blood-loving personality.

Original character No. 7: Watson

Watson

He was originally Hakuba Saguru's pet in Magic Kaito, but in Hanzawa-san's he is treated as a semi-regular who is more than just a pet owner. He is like a mascot at Hanzawa-san's part-time job, but in reality he works at the store second only to Hanzawa-san. Furthermore, because Hakuba Saguru forces him to take care of him, he ends up living in Hanzawa-san's share house.

Original character No. 8: Hanzawa-san's mother

Hanzawa-san's mother

Hanzawa-san's mother. She is a kind and good-natured person, and comes to Beika-cho because she is worried about Hanzawa-san who has moved to Tokyo. Her real name is Hanzawa Hitoe.

Original character no. 9: Pometaro

Pometaro

Hanzawa's pet. A Pomeranian that he fell in love with at first sight at a pet shop and bought. He is the only harmless, soothing character in the work, and is friendly and popular. The price was high at 480,000 yen, but he borrowed money from Hakuba Saguru to buy him. He is one of the few soothing characters in the bloody, crime-ridden city of Beika Town, and he became so popular on YouTube that he went viral. His cuteness also makes him the target of Kaitou Kid. He is probably modeled after the author's pet dog.

Original character no. 10: Saki-chan

Saki-chan

A cousin girl who lives in Hanzawa-san's hometown. They used to be very close, but as adults they became estranged. Hanzawa-san is a little interested in her, but she wears the same all-black tights as him. After Hanzawa-san returns to Beika-cho from his parents' home, for some reason he decides to move to Tokyo. It seems like he came to Beika-cho for some reason?

Original character ⑪: Priest Tennen

Priest Tennen

The new head priest of Sando-ji Temple, who appeared in the main story of Conan, the Legend of the Mist Tengu Murder Case. He is a lookalike of Priest Tennen, the victim in the main story, but he has a strong business sense and is planning a training experience tour to make a lot of money. Although he seems to be lost, it seems to be going surprisingly well.

[Detective Conan: The Criminal's Hanzawa-san] Summary of original characters

I have compiled a list of original characters that appear in the Detective Conan spin-off, The Criminal's Hanzawa-san. The story is set in a parallel world that misinterprets the world of Detective Conan, which has become inconsistent due to its long serialization, so each character has a strong personality and is interesting! The Criminal's Hanzawa-san is scheduled to be released in October. The voice actors have not yet been announced, but if it follows the original, I think it will be very interesting! Please check it out!
