Zero Two is the main heroine of Darling in the Franxx, a much-anticipated and much-talked-about anime coming out of Winter 2018. She's an incredibly popular character, not only among anime fans, but also among female cosplayers. She's got a lot to offer, not just in appearance, but also in her personality. What kind of character is Zero Two?
The main heroine of this work. Her real name is (Code:002). Hiro gave her the nickname "Zero Two" when she was a child. She currently pilots a Franxx as an elite parasite in the APE-directed special guard unit, the 9's, which fights against the mysterious giant creatures known as Klaxosaurs. However, every time she fights, her paired parasite (stamen) ages, and after three battles they die, earning her the nickname "Partner Killer." Though she looks human, she is a different race and remains shrouded in mystery.

Zero Two has been interested in Hiro since they first met. After destroying her paired parasite in a battle with a powerful Klaxosaur, Zero Two was rendered unable to fight. However, when Hiro appeared, she shouted, "From today, you're my darling," and together they defeated the Klaxosaur. Since then, she has only opened up to Hiro. Zero Two, who only has eyes for Hiro, is so adorable!!
Zero Two's slanted eyes are seductive, yet innocent!
She's incredibly beautiful and popular, but her personality is another reason for her popularity. She appears to be a beautiful, assertive woman with slanted eyes, but contrary to her appearance, her personality also has an innocent side. For example, she exhibits childish behavior, such as stealing Hiro's clothes from the changing room and running away, or sitting in the same chair when eating meals. This contrast with her appearance is what makes Zero Two so charming!!
Zero Two's cold attitude is irresistible!!
Zero Two shows an innocent, childlike side, but only to Hiro, whom she trusts. She has no interest in anyone other than Hiro, and is cold and distant. She seems to view the other parasites as tools, and does not show any concern for them, no matter how much they are injured in battle. It's that tsundere Zero Two that makes us fall in love with her innocent side!
Zero Two's charming feature is her horns!?
The horns on Zero Two's head are particularly eye-catching. They both affirm her non-human status and add to her attractive appearance. Occasionally, she uses her horns to threaten Hiro, or clasps them together as if to court him. We also see Zero Two's cute side as she shaves off her horns herself and takes good care of them. Perhaps it's a fashion statement for Zero Two!
Zero Two looks cool in her uniform!!
If you're a fan of military uniforms, this is a must-have! The large jacket and hat worn over her usual red uniform. Is this formal attire? Unlike the jackets worn by other Parasite characters, this one has a strong image, as if symbolizing the elite unit "9's." Zero Two, with her strong and beautiful appearance, looks amazing in this outfit, and it's cool and cute!

The combat abilities of Franxx pilots are exceptionally high. While the other Parasites struggle to take down a single Klaxosaur, Zero Two's Strelizia takes down dozens with incredible force. However, she often loses her composure and disobeys orders, making her a nuisance. Still, she's a powerful fighting force, so she's actively deployed in battle. Strong women are incredibly attractive!
Zero Two, determined to become human, pushes forward!
After meeting Hiro as a child, Zero Two began to desire to become human. She firmly believes that if she continues to defeat Klaxosaurs, she will become human, and overcomes difficult battles with the belief that she will one day become human by riding Strelizia and defeating Klaxosaurs. Isn't Zero Two's stoic side, such as using her partner to defeat Klaxosaurs and using any means necessary to make her dreams come true, also part of her charm?
Childhood Zero Two is a different race?! But she's cute!!
Zero Two is not human, but an alien species. While she currently has a more human-like appearance, as a child she had red skin, large horns, and blue blood. Because she is a rare alien species, she has repeatedly undergone inhumane biological experiments by adults, which has led to her developing a hostile attitude toward humans. However, she is saved by Hiro, and is now known to be able to adopt a more human-like, cute attitude. The adorable reactions of a character of a different race are irresistible!
