The protagonist, Okazaki Tomoya, who had given up sports due to an injury and was living as a delinquent, met Furukawa Nagisa, who was standing alone on the slope leading to school one day. This encounter would greatly add color to Okazaki Tomoya's gray life. Their school life together is completely different from what they had been used to, and the story follows Nagisa's wish to revive the drama club as the two of them overcome various obstacles, growing closer together and growing together.

This is a story about Tomoya Okazaki and Nagisa Furukawa up until their graduation and what happens after. Nagisa graduated a year late due to illness, and Okazaki works as an electrician where an acquaintance of his works. The two of them started living together and spent happy days together, thinking that they would continue like this forever. However, a very sad fate awaited them. What will the future hold for them?

Sunohara Yohei (CV: Sakaguchi Daisuke)

He is in the same grade as Okazaki, and is a third-year high school student at the start of the story. He is very cheerful and positive, and is the type of person who doesn't generally have any worries. Like Okazaki, he attends the prestigious school as a delinquent, and while his delinquent behavior is more noticeable than Okazaki's, he is also relatively weak-willed. He originally entered the school on a soccer recommendation, but he got into a fight with a senior student and quit the club. Since his parents live in Tohoku, he has been living in the school dormitory despite quitting the club.

Sunohara's charm #1: A delinquent you can't hate

It's true that he does have a bad attitude and some twisted thoughts, but he's not a bad guy at heart, he's pretty easygoing, and he generally behaves like an idiot, so even when he does something bad, it often backfires or he gets beaten back, which is a nice thing to watch. Sometimes I think he's annoying when he goes too far... (laughs)

Haruhara's charm #2: When he's a good-looking guy

On rare occasions, Haruhara turns into a good-looking guy. At those times, he says very reasonable things to advise Okazaki and influences important events in the story. He was also really cool when he came to rescue his sister Mei. I think there were a lot of cool scenes with Sunohara in the Mei-chan arc. He's usually a total joker, so it's especially memorable when he's serious.

"Hey, do you think you want to stay beautiful? Also, I think you have another misconception. Whatever you do from now on, you're bound to hurt one of them, you know?" (Another World: An Edition)

Sunohara's charm part 3: A lovable fool

Of course, Sunohara is a very funny idiot, and his words and actions often cause trouble to those around him, but in the end, I think they add a lot of good spice to the story of CLANNAD. If he wasn't there, the story itself might have been able to move forward, but I think it probably wouldn't have become such a popular story. He's such an important character that I can't help but think that. Sunohara was always there when she was with anyone (laughs)

Sunohara's charm #4: The battle with Sakagami Tomoyo

This is probably a favorite scene for CLANNAD fans. Tomoyo is great because she keeps trying all sorts of things to challenge the strongest Sakagami Tomoyo, lose, and get revenge, but I also admire Sunohara for not giving up so many times and coming up with even more stupid plans. Okazaki, who enjoys it all, is also a slightly twisted person with a wonderful friendship (lol)

Haruhara's charm point 5: passionate friendship

Although Sunohara has a noticeable foolish side, he is ruthlessly passionate and caring towards the people he has become friends with, such as Okazaki, Anzu, and even Nagisa. He often ends up spinning his wheels due to his natural inability to read the mood, but he has always hung out with Okazaki since their first year, and when Okazaki is lost, Sunohara is the one to scold him, and when Sunohara is lost, Okazaki is the one to scold him and correct his path. In CLANNAD, which has a large female cast, he is an important and passionate male character, along with Akio.

Haruhara's charm #6: Haruhara in the Fuko scenario

In the Fuko scenario, Haruhara and Fuko were close in mental age and often joked around, but as everyone else forgot about Fuko, Haruhara also eventually forgot about her. But still, something inside him was screaming, and he was genuinely anguished and frustrated by the fact that he couldn't remember, and he became more furious than the usual Sunohara. And the words he managed to get out were, "You know...I didn't hate her...I think so..." He squeezed out the words from the faint feeling that remained in his heart, even though he couldn't remember. Since I loved the Fuko arc, Sunohara at this point really brought me to tears.

Sunohara's charm #7 Charm? And a toilet seat cover

Sunohara Yohei's greatest quote and one that will remain in the memory for generations to come: "And a toilet seat cover." It's amazing how this wordplay, which started as a meaningless joke by Okazaki, has become such a big part of the work CLANNAD (laughs). Sunohara = And a toilet seat cover. It's no exaggeration to say so.

This was an introduction to Sunohara Yohei, Okazaki's one and only best friend and the person who contributed the most to livening up the atmosphere in CLANNAD. Sunohara often encounters misfortune due to his own actions, but he puts his life on the line to bring laughter to the players, so I would like to give him a round of applause (laughs). No matter what, he really does have a lot of cool aspects and is an important character, so be sure to check him out when you watch the show. So, thank you for reading all the way to the end. And the toilet seat cover.
