【Episode 7】Love the Disease Called Ideals
Social Psychology Advice
Following a bomb threat from the Blue Apostles, the Armed Detective Agency sets out to find the culprit and defuse the bomb before sunset. Kunikida calls Taguchi and asks him to search for information.
While casually dating Nobuko, Dazai seeks her opinion as a university social psychology professor, and hears her prediction that the Blue King may have faked his death and is still alive.
Ranpo's Help
He contacts Ranpo, who is solving a case in Kyushu, and asks him to deduce that a bomb has been planted at a nearby fishing tackle shop, targeting the Negishi Town oil refinery.
As Atsushi, Dazai, and Kunikida drive to the scene, they receive calls from Ranpo, the president, and Taguchi, respectively.
The "00" Stamp
Based on Taguchi's information and Ranpo's deductions, someone recently smuggled radio equipment into a former military facility.
Dazai then learns that a driver who had been quarantined by the military and police has disappeared, leaving the number "00" stamped on his palm.
Kunikida & Atsushi's Battle
Kunikida infiltrates a former National Defense Force facility and faces a long-range psychic who demands, "Give me the numbers." Dazai and Atsushi enter the machine room to defuse the bomb and begin fighting a heavyweight enemy, but they quickly defeat him after passing the baton to each other.
Kunikida successfully deactivates the bomb with the power of his notebook, thanks to his psychic powers, but he appears somewhat depressed.
Nobuko's True Identity
Later, while Kunikida is mourning the victims, Nobuko visits him and tells him that she has lost her lover. Later, Kunikida is summoned by Dazai to an abandoned hospital, where he discovers that Nobuko is the mastermind behind the Port Mafia's plot, using false information to trap them.
The Blue King
The Blue King is Nobuko's lover, and she committed a series of crimes to fulfill his dream.
Taguchi, who had hacked Dazai's email and appeared, was shot by Nobuko, but with his last breath, he fought back and shot Nobuko dead, avenging his father.
Kunikida's Beliefs
Kunikida blames Dazai for knowing everything but not trying to prevent it. Dazai tells him that as long as he continues to uphold his ideals, the flame of the Blue King will one day reside within him.
Kunikida yells at Dazai that he will press on, regardless.
【Episode 8】Kill Someone and Die
Missing
Dazai is approached by a strange girl in the street and goes missing.
Everyone at the Armed Detective Agency dismisses the incident as "everyday," but Tanizaki, who has just returned from Yosano's treatment, shows signs of concern.
Danger Sensed!?
Yosano emerges from a room at the detective agency, yawning, and takes Atsushi to town, where he's forced to carry his shopping bags. (The others sense the danger and evacuate.)
The two board the train. Yosano is secretly impressed by Atsushi's clean, unblemished body, even after the recent attack by the Port Mafia (Akutagawa).
Passengers' Lives Are at Stake!
While this is going on, an announcement is made on the train, followed immediately by the sound of an explosion.
The announcer threatens that if Atsushi doesn't hand over his head, all passengers will become victims.
Kajii Motojiro
Atsushi is confused, but Yosano calmly tells him to search the train car for the culprit, but he gets caught up in the explosion along the way.
The bomber standing before Yosano in the dust was none other than Port Mafia member Kajii Motojiro.
Yosano Akiko's Supernatural Powers
Stomping on Yosano, she jokes, "What does it mean to die?" and scatters a horde of bombs.
However, Yosano heals herself with her supernatural power, "You Shall Not Die," and stands up, launching an overwhelming attack on Kajii.
Izumi Kyoka
Meanwhile, while exploring another car, Atsushi is confronted by a girl named Izumi Kyoka, who commands the supernatural power "Yasha Shirayuki" in response to a voice on her cell phone.
Kyoka, an orphan rescued by the Port Mafia, unleashes a Stand-like power, instantly injuring Atsushi and knocking him to the ground.
Seeing the clear difference in their abilities, Atsushi nearly gives up, but then he reflects on his past as a were-tiger and decides that if he can protect the passengers, his life will be worth living, so he decides to face them.
Supernatural Powers Run Wild
After defeating Yasha Shirayuki by transforming only his arms into those of a tiger, Kyoka shows Atsushi the bomb planted in his chest. Seeing this, Atsushi realizes that Kyoka is unable to control his supernatural powers and that all of his previous assassinations have been guided by voices on his cell phone.
Kyoka makes a decision about the unstoppable bomb and stands in front of the train door that has been blown open by the explosion.
Save Izumi Kyoka!
Crying, Kyoka jumps off the train of her own volition.
Atsushi chases after Kyoka, and they both survive by falling into the river.
On the other end of Kyoka's phone, Akutagawa sighs as he speaks to the captured Dazai.
【Episode 9】Beautiful People, Lonely Like Stone Statues
The One Manipulating Izumi Kyoka from Behind the Scenes
Kunikida and Atsushi listen to Kyoka, the assassin responsible for the murders of 35 people they are protecting, by offering him his favorite dish, boiled tofu (paid for by Atsushi) in order to find out who the mastermind is.
It was Akutagawa who had given Kyoka the assassination instructions via cell phone.
Handing him over to the Military Police would mean the death penalty, and returning to the Port Mafia would mean being eliminated as a traitor.
Akutagawa's Hatred
Akutagawa torments Dazai, who is being held captive by the Port Mafia, and looks at him with hatred, as Dazai betrays the organization despite being his former boss and a senior executive.
A Date!?
Kunikida tells Atsushi to take Kyoka to the Military Police barracks, but as they spend time together touring Yokohama's attractions as if on a "date," he finds it difficult to bring himself to do so.
However, Kyoka senses Atsushi's intentions and offers to turn herself in, but Akutagawa appears and attacks Atsushi from behind, kidnapping him.
Operation to Rescue Atsushi!
While the detective agency members, tasked with guarding the staff, argued that Atsushi's abduction was nothing to do with the agency, the president's command launched the rescue of their colleague.
A tourist provided a photo of the truck, and the agency gradually closed in on Atsushi. However, Akutagawa had already eliminated the entire group, including the disguised group, in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Nakahara Chuuya
However, with the president's help, Ranpo's deductive skills revealed that Atsushi and the others were out at sea.
Kunikida headed to the port to rescue Atsushi.
Meanwhile, Nakahara Chuuya appeared before the captured Dazai, challenging him to fight, and breaking his chains.
【Episode 10】Rashomon and the Tiger
Dazai's Strategy
Dazai, the Port Mafia's most skilled martial artist, engages in a fistfight with his former partner, Nakahara Chuuya. He reveals that he purposely got himself captured in order to find out who placed the 7 billion yen bounty on Atsushi.
Five Executives Meeting
Furthermore, he continued, explaining that because he had previously sent a threatening letter stating that "if Dazai dies, all of the organization's secrets will be exposed," the organization's decision-making meeting, the "Five Executives Meeting," would be held the following day.
A Situation Where Fighting Is Unable
Realizing that killing Dazai or letting him escape before the meeting could result in the death penalty, Nakahara, despite showing a frustrated expression, allowed Dazai to go as he asked and left the scene.
Change of Heart
With Atsushi held captive by Akutagawa, Kyoka is told to continue her work as a Port Mafia assassin, but she resists, stating that the crepes she ate with Atsushi were delicious.
Kyoka, willing to risk her own life, uses explosives from the armory to allow Atsushi to escape.
Memories of Atsushi's Mind
Kunikida arrives just in time, telling Atsushi that they are not heroes and to abandon Kyouka and run away. However, he remembers that he was not abandoned by the Detective Agency and returns to save her.
Akutagawa's Hatred
And so Atsushi finally comes face to face with Akutagawa.
During the battle, Akutagawa reminisces about the days he spent training with Dazai in the Port Mafia to control his supernatural powers.
Akutagawa's hatred for Atsushi stems from Dazai's particular attention to Atsushi.
Supernatural Power "Rashomon"
Akutagawa unleashes his supernatural power "Rashomon: Higan Sakura," impaling Atsushi. Atsushi, barely able to recover thanks to his incredible regenerative abilities, asks why he used Kyouka. To which she replies, "Because Yasha Shirayuki's supernatural power is for killing."
Atsushi, determined not to forgive Akutagawa, mustered his last bit of strength and slammed his fist into Akutagawa, knocking him into the sea.
Guild
While Kyouka tended to Atsushi and Kunikida rescued them, the ship's hull was destroyed and sank due to the impact of the explosion.
Dazai, investigating the person within the Port Mafia who tried to obtain Atsushi's supernatural powers, discovered that Francis F., the leader of the "Guild," a group of supernatural power users, was involved.
