Knowing more about the first season is sure to make the second season even more enjoyable!
[Episode 1] The End and the Beginning
When "Yggdrasil" comes to an end...
Momonga, the leader of the infamous guild "Ainz Ooal Gown" in the DMMO-RPG "Yggdrasil," waits for the end of service at the guild's base, the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He recalls previously unused NPCs like Sebastian.
What is the secret behind the birth of this reassuring heroine...?
After checking the profile of Albedo, the beautiful NPC who oversees the guardians of the Great Tomb of Nazarick,
he changes her final sentence from "By the way, she's a bitch" to "She loves Momonga."
And so, the end of service finally arrives...
The service hasn't ended yet!?
Thinking the end of service has been postponed, Momonga becomes frustrated when he is unable to access chat.
So, when he speaks to the NPCs, he discovers that there is a mouth movement that has not been implemented in Yggdrasil. Momonga wonders if this is Yggdrasil.
The Guardians of the Great Tomb of Nazarick Gather!
The Guardians of the First, Second, and Third Floors, "Shalltear Blood Fallen"
The Guardian of the Fifth Floor, "Cocytus"
The Guardians of the Sixth Floor, "Aura Bella Fiora" and "Mare Bello Fiore"
The Guardian of the Seventh Floor, "Demiurge"
The Guardian Leader, "Albedo," and others have gathered together and performed the "Ceremony of Loyalty" to recognize them as allies in this mysterious world.
【Episode 2】Floor Guardians
The world outside the Great Tomb of Nazarick...
Momonga receives a report from Sebas, who was investigating the outside world, that "the surrounding area is grassland."
However, when he finds out that Yggdrasil is surrounded by swamps, Momonga is convinced that he has been transported to an unknown location.
Defenses Require a Place of Uncertainty
Albedo and Demiurge were instructed to create an information-sharing system and strengthen security.
He also instructed Mare, who excels in magic, to pile up earth and create dummies to blend in with the surrounding scenery and conceal Nazarick.
The Floor Guardians' Impressions of Momonga
Momonga was surprised by how highly esteemed he was. A lovers' quarrel also broke out due to the NPCs' feelings. Shalltear and Albedo argued over Momonga's "legal wife," and Cocytus even fantasized about serving Momonga's child, creating situations unthinkable in Yggdrasil.
Momonga made a joking remark!?
While heading outside Nazarick for a breather, Momonga encountered Demiurge and the two flew above the clouds to see the beautiful starry sky. Inspired by the scenery, Momonga jokingly muttered, "It sparkles like a jewel box," and "World domination might be fun."
Precious Ring
Marley magically gave him a ring that allowed him to teleport within Nazarick to show her gratitude for Nazarick's cover-up. Albedo, who Momonga adores, appeared and expressed jealousy at the sight of the ring Marley was wearing, prompting Momonga to give Albedo the same ring.
[Episode 3] Battle of Carne Village
A Trap for the Kingdom's Knight Commander
Gazef, the strongest knight of the Re:Estize Kingdom, and his subordinates arrive on horseback to the village to subjugate the bandits who have been committing massacres within the kingdom. However, he was a step too late, and the village was already in ruins...
He then realized that this was a trap set by the bandits to divide their forces and hunt Gazef...
Remembering his former comrades...
Using the "Remote Viewing Mirror," an item that allows him to see far into the distance, he witnesses soldiers attacking villagers near Nazarick. He feels uneasy about the fact that he feels no emotion even as he witnesses the killing. However, he remembers a former comrade's words, "It's only natural to help someone in trouble," and decides to save Carne Village, a village near Nazarick.
First Battle!
Shortly after arriving in Carne Village, he finds Enri and her sister Nemu under attack and casts a spell to save them.
There, Momonga confirms that his magic still works in this world.
He then transforms the corpses into "Death Knights" and orders them to kill the soldiers attacking the village.
A New Name with Determination
After rescuing the Enri sisters, Momonga gave Enri a "red potion" to heal her wounds and a "flute for summoning goblins" in case something happened. When asked his name, Momonga introduced himself as "Ainz Ooal Gown," the name of his guild from Yggdrasil.
This was one reason for his name being so that any Yggdrasil allies in the area would hear him.
Seeking Knowledge of This World...
After saving the village, Ainz ordered the village chief to give him "money and valuables" and "knowledge about this land" in return. He discovered that the currency within Yggdrasil was not valid and that a different currency was used, as well as information on the situation in nearby countries.
Meeting Gazef
Gazef visited the village and thanked Ainz for saving the village.
However, there they find that someone other than Gazef and his party is surrounding the village.
These were bandits plotting to subjugate Gazef...
【Episode 4】The Ruler of Death
The Bandits' True Identity...
Back in time, Nigri, the captain of the Sunlight Scriptures, a special forces unit of the Slane Theocracy, was ordered to eliminate Gazef. As the strongest knight in the Re-Estize Kingdom, Gazef was entrusted with a treasured item. Now, the plan to eliminate Gazef was about to begin.
Gazef's Countermeasure
In Carne Village, Gazef noticed that many of the bandits were magic casters and realized they were a special forces unit from the Slane Theocracy. He offered to hire Ainz, but Ainz declined. However, Ainz gave him an item as he left.
Gazef's Deadly Battle
They clashed with Nigun's Sunlight Scripture. Despite their best efforts, Gazef and his subordinates were exhausted by the angels summoned by the Scripture.
Despite being cornered, Gazef showed his determination to fight to the end. However, he prepared himself for a losing battle and silently prayed to Ainz to protect the villagers.
And then...
In Gazef's Place...
Gazef and his subordinates were standing in the warehouse where the villagers were taking shelter. The item Ainz had given them before leaving had been used, causing Gazef and Ainz to switch positions.
Ainz pronounced a death sentence on the Sunlight Scripture and was attacked en masse by angels, but his "High-Level Physical Nullification" skill prevented any damage. He then annihilated the angels in a single blow.
Summoning the Supreme Angel!
Cornered, Nigun used an item entrusted to him by the Slane Theocracy to summon a Supreme Angel. He unleashed an angelic blow on Ainz that could even destroy a demon, but only caused minimal damage...
Once again, Ainz destroyed a Supreme Angel with a single blow. Nigun was shocked, but immediately realized he could not win and begged Ainz for his life, but Ainz's response was a "death sentence."
The Beginning of a Legend
After returning to Nazarick, Ainz ordered the Guardians to call him "Ainz Ooal Gown," the name he used in Carne Village. The Guardians pledged absolute loyalty to Ainz.
Ainz then commanded them to "make Ainz Ooal Gown an unchanging legend."
The Guardians' Wish
After Ainz left, Demiurge recounted to everyone the words Ainz had spoken the other day while gazing at the starry sky. He spoke of the "Jewel Box" and told the Guardians, "It might be fun to conquer the world." The Guardians then vowed that Nazarick's ultimate goal would be "world domination."
【Episode 5】Two Adventurers
Daily Life in Nazarick
After Albedo finished reporting to Ainz about the guardians, she switched from work mode to affection mode, expressing her affection for Ainz without holding back.
Shalltear appeared and bid Ainz a brief farewell, leaving Nazarick for her own mission.
The Beginning of the Shadowbringers
A pair of men and women dressed in full jet-black gear appeared at an inn in the fortress city of E-Rantel. They were revealed to be Ainz and Nabel Gamma, one of the Pleiades. However, a shady adventurer at the inn harassed them, and they got into a fight. Ainz threw the adventurer aside, but when the man threw a potion the female adventurer had finally managed to buy, it shattered. As an apology, Ainz gave the woman his own red potion.
Their urgent task is to make money!?
Ainz entered his room at the inn and ordered Nabel to do three things. First, they had to change their names. Ainz would call each other Momon, and Nabel Nabe. This was to prevent their identities from being discovered. Next, since he lacks immediate financial resources, he needs to earn money. And finally, he needs to gather information while he's at it.
Ainz tells him to start by looking for work...
Potion Appraisal
The female adventurer carrying the potion Momon had given her earlier is visiting Lizzie Valeare, E-Rantel's greatest pharmacist. Her goal: to appraise this "red potion."
Lizzie says the potion is "blue" and has never seen a red potion before, expressing astonishment that it is a completed potion.
Momon, the Strongest Adventurer's Weakness
Momon is looking for work, but discovers he cannot read the writing of this world. He picks a request at random and hands it to the receptionist, only to be told that the request is for "mithril."
Momon's current adventurer rank is copper, so he can't accept the request, and they argue. Then, a strange team of adventurers approaches him as a helping hand, offering to work together.
The Jet Black Swords
The team that approached him was the "Jet Black Swords," a Silver-ranked team.
In addition to learning about various teams and their tasks, Momon and his friends also learned about "Firea Bareare." They discovered that Firea possessed the talent (skill) of "being able to use any magical item." After their conversation, Momon and his friends agreed to a joint mission.
A Request for Momon
Just as Momon and the "Jet Black Swords" were about to head out on a request, the receptionist announced that there was a request for Momon.
The requester was "Firea," as mentioned earlier. Upon hearing the details, Momon learned that the request was for escort to "Carne Village." Momon agreed, but asked the Jet Black Swords for their cooperation in completing this request alone.
Ominous Footsteps
The scene suddenly shifted to the E-Rantel cemetery, where a woman appeared. From there, she entered a hidden passageway underground. There, they meet an old man named "Kazit," a leader of the secret society "Zuranon." The woman who entered the basement is named "Clementine." Clementine has obtained the stolen "Crest of the Wise," and says that in order to use it, he will kidnap "Phylea."
[Episode 6] Journey
The Existence of the Forest Sage
Momon and Nabe, armed with the Jet Black Sword and Filea, were heading toward Carne Village.
On the way, Momon heard that the surrounding forest was the territory of the "Forest Sage," and he yearned to encounter such a magical beast if it existed.
What is Momon and Nabe's relationship?!
Momon is being explained about magic by the Jet Black Swords. He learns that it is completely separate from Yggdrasil. As the conversation progresses, Momon is asked if Nabe is his lover, and in a panic, Nabe blurts out, "Momon has an Albedo."
The Power of Copper-Rank Momon and Nabe
Momon and his party deal with monsters as they appear. Momon cuts a relatively large "ogre" in half with two greatswords. Nabe fights back, subjugating other goblins and other monsters with magic. Momon and his party then defeat monsters one after another. The Jet Black Swords, witnessing the scene, are astonished, as if their power is on the level of "adamantite."
Origin of the Team Name
During dinner at night, Momon and his party ask about the origin of their team name. The "Jet-Black Sword" is apparently a reference to the four swords wielded by one of the Thirteen Heroes, and upon hearing this conversation, Momon recalled his former comrades.
Cruel Clementine
At night in E-Rantel, Clementine was killing informants one after another.
She was doing so to fulfill her love for murder and to gather information on Filea.
However, Khajit had performed a ritual to fill E-Rantel with undead, and was aiming to become an undead himself, so he warned Clementine to stop causing any more trouble.
