Currently, many anime production companies are creating a wide variety of anime to entertain us. However, I think the majority of people know about anime, but don't know anything about anime production companies and have no interest in them. However, if you research anime production companies, you will find that the companies that make the anime you like are almost always the same. Furthermore, each anime production company has a different style, so if you research them, you will be able to enjoy anime even more. In this article, we will introduce the anime production company "J.C.STAFF".

J.C.STAFF is a major anime production company that handles everything from planning to production of animation. Founded in 1986, the company has a long history and employs about 160 people, which is a lot for an anime company. The company is headquartered in Tokyo and its name is "JAPAN CREATIVE STAFF" or "J.C.STAFF" for short.
Characteristics of J.C.STAFF

This is an animation company founded in 1986 by Miyata Tomoyuki, who was originally from Tatsunoko Productions as a planner, and later worked as a producer at Mitaka Studio. In anime production, the work is generally outsourced to various companies to create the anime, but J.C.STAFF is a rare category among anime companies in that it handles a series of tasks such as management, drawing, finishing, background art, photography, and 3D in-house. However, by consolidating everything in-house, communication becomes easier, there is less chance of misunderstandings among staff, and high-quality anime can be produced. This is also adopted by another anime company, Kyoto Animation.
J.C.STAFF's style

Since its founding, the company has not attempted to produce works that are one season long (12-13 episodes in total), but instead focused on producing OVAs (original video animations, which are anime that are not broadcast in anime or theaters and can only be viewed by purchasing discs (DVDs or Blu-rays). Recently, they have been included as a bonus with Blu-rays of broadcast anime.) and movie versions, but from 1994's "Metal Fighter MIKU" they began to produce as a prime contractor (planned by the company). Although they have produced many anime, it is true that there are many hits and misses. However, as a major company, I think that the animation and direction are maintained at a high standard. They also handle a wide range of anime genres, from battles to romantic comedies.

10th Place: Little Busters

The original is a romance adventure game produced by the game brand Key. Key is the company behind "AIR", "Clannad", "Angel Beats", and more. This time, the story is based on the theme of "friendship". The protagonist, Naoe Riki, asks his childhood friend Kyosuke, who has just returned from job hunting, if they can do something together as the four of them (the Little Busters) like they used to. Kyosuke, the leader of the Little Busters, picks up a ball nearby and declares, "Let's make a baseball team." At first glance, it may seem like a sports-centric story, but it also incorporates the tear-jerking and comedy elements that are characteristic of Key's works, so it's recommended for those who want to cry and those who like friendship anime.
