Wataten! An Angel Flew Down to Me! is a four-panel comic originally written by Nanatsu Mukugi and serialized in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime since 2017. It's a slightly yuri-esque comedy about the everyday lives of a reclusive female college student and elementary school girls. In January 2018, the long-awaited anime adaptation began production by Doga Kobo, the studio behind Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun and Himouto! Umaru-chan, and has been generating a lot of buzz! Here, we'll be ranking the cutest characters from Wataten! Please note that this is purely subjective (lol).
Wataten! An Angel Flew Down to Me! A brief synopsis of WataTen
One day in May, almost two months into her college career, the protagonist, Miyako Hoshino, a reclusive and gloomy college student, was lazing around as usual when her fifth-grade sister, Hinata Hoshino, came home. Hinata had brought a friend with her, a beautiful young girl with straight black hair named Shirasaki Hana. The moment she saw the girl, Miyako was overcome with a feeling she had never experienced before. It was at that very moment that she realized, "An angel had descended upon me." After meeting the girl, Miyako tries every trick in the book to become friends with Hana, but Hana is wary of her, and her younger sister Hinata and her friends get caught up in the chaos that follows.

The policewoman who appeared in episode 4 of the anime! Since she's from Wataten!, you might be confused, but she's not a cosplayer, she's actually a police officer (lol). She first stops Mya-nee for taking secret photos of young girls from afar, and then occasionally appears as Mya-nee's nemesis for her suspicious behavior! She doesn't even have a name, so she probably shouldn't be included, but I really like her, so I've forced her into the top 10 (lol).

The policewoman is played by Ikumi Hasegawa! Since her voice acting debut in 2016, she has played supporting roles in numerous productions, steadily building a reputation as a promising young voice actress. She currently plays the main character Xiaoyu in the Japan-China co-production animated feature film "Shanghai Love."
Cuteness Ranking #9: Matsumoto Yuuna
Number 9 is Matsumoto's sister, Yuuna, one of the most dangerous characters! Despite her rather crazy older sister, she's a surprisingly normal, cute girl with a normal sensibility. Although she's treated rather poorly—she's used as an excuse to meet her older sister, Miya-nee, and is forced to name a pet Miyako—the sisters seem to have a very good relationship.

Yuna-chan is played by Kino Hina, who is currently a hot topic for many reasons! She's been active as a voice actress since around 2014, steadily gaining popularity through various roles, but her role as Hanako in the previous season of Asobi Asobase made her a breakthrough. She's now renowned for her talent, playing a wide range of roles, from lolita characters like this one, to taciturn characters like Sayaka Itomi, to crazy characters like Hanako.

In eighth place is the homeroom teacher of Hana's class, 5th grade, 3rd class! Like the policewoman, she doesn't have many scenes, but she's a young, beautiful teacher who makes you wish you had a teacher like her. I'm so jealous! (lol) Although she's often troubled by her unconventional classmates, she has a reliable personality, just like a teacher, and is the complete opposite of Mya-nee.

Professor Yamanaka's voice actress is Kinugawa Rika! She's been active as a voice actress since 2013 and has appeared in many anime series. Her most notable work includes her role as Yugiri-nee-san in the popular Zombie Land Saga series from the previous season.
Cuteness Ranking #7: Kanon Konomori
In seventh place is Kanon Konomori, the class representative for Hana and her friends! She's one of the most saintly characters in the series, and among the characters with the most screen time, she's the most sensible and well-thought-out. Because everyone around her is so unconventional, Kanon tends to be the one to rely on for everything, but she's a capable elementary school student who skillfully handles everything and solves problems. She's cute, but I personally prefer her more eccentric side, so sorry about the lower ranking (lol).

Natsune's voice actress is Naomi Oozora! She debuted as a voice actress in 2012 and is best known for her role in "Happy Poor Girl." She's now popular and has played leading roles in many shows, but her most recent roles include Chio Miyamo in "Chio's School Road" and Chieri Ogata in "Cinderella Girls."

In sixth place is Tanemura Koyori, the other class representative in Hana's class! She's best friends with Natsune, and they're always so close they almost feel like one. While Natsune is a genius who can do anything, Koyori is unfortunately clumsy and a bit of a pain (lol). But her annoyingness is what makes her so addictively cute.

The clumsy Koyori is voiced by Hitomi Oowada. Since her debut in 2013, she's become a popular voice actress, playing main characters and leading roles in numerous series. She's best known for her role as Ayano Hanesaki in the still-popular Hanebado series, and she also plays the main character Eagle in Girly Air Force, currently airing this season.
Cuteness Ranking #5: Himesaka Noa
In fifth place is one of the main characters, Himesaka Noa! She's overconfident and boasts that she's the cutest girl in the world, and as you'd expect, she boasts of her stunning looks as a half-blonde little girl. She's always striving to improve herself, and is highly conscious of her cuteness, believing that she needs to surpass her current self. She's super cute, but personally, I'd rank her fifth (lol).

Noa is voiced by the highly popular voice actress Akari Kito. Since her voice acting debut in 2014, she has appeared in numerous works, and it's no exaggeration to say she's now one of the most popular voice actresses. Her notable roles include Kaho Hinata in Blend S and Misa Nakamura in Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san.
Cuteness Ranking #4: Hoshino Hinata
4th place goes to Hinata, the super energetic elementary school sister who absolutely loves Mya-nee! She dotes on her older sister, Mya-nee, more than anyone else in the world, so much so that it's no exaggeration to say she lives for her! That might sound like she's a total siscon, but her personality is straightforward and clear, and it seems like she just loves her as a sister. Rather than being yuri, perhaps she's more like an over-the-top version of a proud older sister? However, her love for her big sister, Mya-san, makes her seem like a truly adorable little sister, and it's the best! (lol)

Hiata is played by Rika Nagae, a highly anticipated young voice actress who debuted in 2016! Although she's only been in the industry for a few years, she's already steadily gained experience and popularity. Nagae rose to fame for her role as Olivia in the controversial series Asobi Asobase, which aired in the fall of 2018. She's one of the voice actresses whose future endeavors are truly exciting.

In third place is Matsumoto Koko, one of the four evil characters in WataTen (and who are the other three? lol)! While WataTen is filled with little girls, the adult characters are also packed with beautiful characters. To briefly explain what kind of person she is, she's Mya-nee's stalker (lol). She was a high school classmate, and although we've never spoken, she's always following me around, making her a real creep (lol). She's similar to Midorin, the maid from the previous season who was so annoying. If you watched it, you'll understand how creepy she is (lol). Personally, I love creepy characters, and she's actually pretty good-looking, so she's ranked third!

Koko-chan is played by Lynn, who is currently extremely popular for her beautiful looks and solid acting! Since her debut, she has been the talk of the town for her beautiful looks, and while her looks tended to take center stage, she has recently been showing off her solid acting skills as well. She's finally here! In second place is the main character of this work, Miyako Hoshino, also known as Mya-nee, the most dangerous character in WataTen! Despite having the status of a female university student and a good cook, Mya-nee is an introvert, a lolicon, a gloomy person, has social phobia, and other bad parts that stand out. However, she is surprisingly kind and beautiful when she acts right, so she has a lot of natural talent. Ever since he fell in love with Hinata's best friend, Hana-chan, he has been devoted to her, and while lolicons are not just for her, he is a devoted lolicon who has his eyes only on Hana-chan! This probably goes without saying, and I'm sure that lolita...child lovers around the world would agree. Our number one pick is Shirosaki Hana, the main heroine of this work and the angelic character in An Angel Flew Down to Me! She's truly angelic, possessing beautiful looks, and even someone other than Mya-nee would be thrilled. The contrast between her beautiful looks and her surprisingly clumsy personality is irresistible! Hana's cosplay in the story is also incredibly cute, making it one of the highlights of this series. At first, she's repulsed by the perverted Mya-nee, but the way she gradually opens up to her is truly moving and wonderful! "Hana-chan is the cutest in the world!" - Mya-nee.

The angelic Hana-chan is played by the promising voice actress Sashide Maria, who has been selected for her first main heroine role!
