"An Old Man Reincarnated as a Beautiful Girl in Another World" features characters with a variety of attributes, including middle-aged men, former middle-aged men, goddesses, elves, perverts, and chuunibyou syndrome. While most characters have fatal flaws, they also have plenty of charms that outweigh their flaws. So, this time, we'll be ranking the most popular characters from the series!
10th Place: Shen
Our 10th choice is Shen, a shady man who seems to like men. He's the only man in the series who isn't fascinated by Hinata...in fact, he feels something like disgust for her. Instead, he's fascinated by Jinguji Tsukasa's body. He literally stares at his body from afar as if licking it all over. His hobby is messing with Tsukasa, and he tries to mess with him whenever he gets the chance, but he's always rejected, and at his worst he's even been told not to enter within a 10m radius... However, when Tsukasa is spaced out after a fight with Hinata, he looks disappointed and says it's "disappointing," so it seems Shen doesn't particularly mind being treated badly by Tsukasa (in fact, he might even enjoy it?).
9th Place: Priest
Our ninth place pick is a perverted female follower of the goddess of love and beauty...or rather, a priest. At first, she gave off a devout nun-like vibe, confusing Tsukasa and the others, but that goddess is a match for this follower. Under her monastic habit, she wears revealing swimsuits. She even gave Tsukasa some boomerang pants and Hinata a micro bikini, calling them her "nun's habit" and "formal attire." When the priest first put on the swimsuit, she was so embarrassed she couldn't look straight ahead while walking, but now it seems her sexual preferences have become so perverted that she finds pleasure in them... Despite being a female character, she was treated badly, even getting hit with an Argentine backbreaker by Tsukasa.
8th Place: Goddess of Love and Beauty
In 8th place is the goddess of love and beauty, the source of all evil. Her distinctive features are the shining star marks in her eyes and her outfit! Tsukasa called her a "strange, half-naked LED woman," and Hinata exclaimed, "A slut has suddenly appeared!!" However, looking at the character, it seems more accurate to say she's completely naked rather than half-naked... After receiving such harsh criticism from the two, the Goddess casts a curse on them and leaves the scene. Surprisingly, she barely appears in the main story except for the beginning, but in Volume 4, she's depicted enjoying a drink in space, munching on a shriveled squid and admiring a cute girl on Earth.
7th Place: Goddess of the Night
Our seventh place pick is the Goddess of the Night who summoned Shuba to another world as a hero. She's so tall you have to look up to see her, she's easily taller than a house. As the Goddess of Night, she sleeps during the day, and when Shuba accidentally used a skill to summon her, she was asleep and wearing a funny hat. Unlike the Goddess of Love and Beauty, who even cursed Hinata and Tsukasa, the Goddess of Night seems to get along well with the hero Shuba, and even when he summoned her for no reason, she said positive things like, "Your boldness is worthy of being my servant." When asked, "What is the strongest thing you can imagine?", Shuba answered, "A blade of darkness that cuts through everything, colored jet black," and she delighted, saying, "That's a perfect answer!", and they appear to have built a pleasant master-disciple relationship. However, she is such a great being that even Lucius, who had previously been overbearing, knelt and bowed his head before the Goddess of Night.
6th Place: Yugrain
Our sixth place pick is another troublemaker: Yugrain, the first princess of the royal capital of Ishulna. While Hinata is also a troublemaker, Yugrain is also quite a tomboyish and unconventional character. In her first appearance, she immediately says "Goodbye, world" and prepares to jump off a building. However, her occasional lonely look makes Hinata think about it, and she decides to join the rebel army as Yugrain's ally... She is a beautiful girl who is just as beautiful as Hinata, and when she says "Please help me" to a villager who is vehemently opposed to the war, the villager is sent flying in a whirlwind, and when she winks, the villager trembles violently and screams "Waka wakka waaaa" as his brain is destroyed.
5th Place: Tiroriro Lilili Lu
In fifth place is the beautiful but unfortunate elf leader, Tiroriro Lilili Lu. Despite being tasked with protecting the forest, she was so useless that she slept unawares even as the forest burned down. Later, in a fit of rage, she challenged Tsukasa to a duel, only to be defeated when her hair was cut off by a stone. She left on a journey, revealing her silly voice and face. But that unfortunate side is what makes her leader so appealing... But what did she do after she set off on her journey? Despite her strength, she was kidnapped and considered a potential sacrifice. Although she's beautiful, she has no presence of mind when it comes to men. When she tries to seduce them, she squirms and adopts strange poses, confusing and making the man wary.
4th Place: Jinguji Tsukasa
Our fourth place pick is Jinguji Tsukasa, one of the main characters of this work, who possesses superhuman abilities. His appearance and age remain unchanged from his previous life, and he plays an active role as a handsome character in the other world. He's the same age as Hinata (32 years old) and has been his best friend since elementary school, but since arriving in the other world, he's taken on a role similar to his guardian. What's great about Tsukasa is his ruthless approach to gender equality! As mentioned earlier, the scene where he hits the priest (nun) with an Argentine backbreaker is visually entertaining. Another highlight is the scene where he struggles to control his feelings for Hinata. He sometimes coughs up blood or bangs his head hard to stay sane (lol).
3rd Place: Lucius
Our third choice is Lucius, who pretends to be an older brother but is actually an older sister. If she were a normal male character I would have ranked her a little lower, but since she's a female character... She had an androgynous feel from the first time I saw her, but after her chest was exposed during the fight with the Living Armor she suddenly became an intriguing character (lol). Her strong point is her sharp comments, and she seems to have been training Shuba rigorously since taking him as her apprentice. Shuba also adores her and calls her "master," and it seems that many people like this master-disciple duo.
Second Place: Schwarz von Liechtenstein Lohengramm
My second choice is another hero summoned by the Goddess of Night: Schwarz von Liechtenstein Lohengramm. He's called "Shuba-kun" for short. He's obviously Japanese, so he must have a different real name, but he stubbornly refuses to reveal it. His good points about him are that he's simple-minded, foolish, and prone to misunderstandings. In a word, he's a "lovable idiot." However, he's not just an idiot; as a hero, he has very high combat abilities. He showed off an offensive power unimaginable for such a silly character, slicing through several buildings with a single slash of his magic sword, Gram.
1st Place: Hinata Tachibana
Of course, our number one pick is this character: Hinata Tachibana, the protagonist and heroine of this work. While she may appear cute and beautiful, inside she's actually a completely ordinary, former middle-aged man. However, because she's an old man inside, she's well-versed in the most effective ways of being a beautiful girl, and she charms those around her with her various gestures and words. Her charm is so powerful that even Tsukasa, who had no interest in women, is captivated. All the villagers bow down to her just by seeing her in a short skirt, and even the female Lucius is captivated. Her manly behavior is also one of the reasons for her popularity. She's the type of person who attracts people from her past life, and unlike Tsukasa, she has excellent communication skills.
