As anyone who has read the original "Seven Deadly Sins" will know, there are several members of the Ten Commandments who were known as the Old Ten Commandments (Former Ten Commandments) and were rampant until 3,000 years ago. This time, we'll be focusing on one of those Old Ten Commandments, Calmadios! Although Calmadios was eliminated from the main story after just two episodes, we'll be looking into whether he will make a reappearance in the future!
What does Calmadios look like?
His appearance was all too brief, so let's start with a quick recap for those who don't even remember him (lol). Karmadios is the character on the right in the image. His distinctive features are his gigantic body and the six arms that sprout from it. He wields various weapons.
Given his appearance similar to Drole, he is believed to be a giant.
Regarding Karmadios's enormous size, he is significantly larger than other demons, suggesting he is likely a giant. Giants like Diane and Drole are often mentioned, but Drole, like Karmadios, has multiple arms (although he only has four). If we consider the number of arms of giants to increase in proportion to their strength, Karmadios would be a stronger opponent than Diane or Drole.
What is Karmadios's commandment?
Each of the Ten Commandments possesses a special ability called a "commandment" (except Fraudrin). Karmadios' commandment, of course, is called "Piety of God." This commandment apparently activates if you try to escape from Karmadios. When Meliodas tells King and Diane, who are trying to escape, "Don't run away!", it seems certain that escaping would put their lives in danger.
What is Karmadios' special move?
In just two episodes, Karmadios unleashes his only special move. It's his Evil Breath. It looks like flame breath, but the name makes it hard to believe it's just flame. However, Meliodas counters this move with a full counter, and he quickly disappears from the story.
Does he still have feelings for Meliodas?
Meliodas is the son of the Demon King, but after meeting Elizabeth, he betrayed the Ten Commandments and killed his comrades. This has earned him the hatred of the current Ten Commandments, but just before Karmadios was defeated by Full Counter... he called Meliodas "Meliodas-sama." Despite their hostility, he appears to respect Meliodas, unlike the other Ten Commandments.
Will Karmadios appear again?
As mentioned at the beginning, Karmadios was eliminated from the story just two episodes after his first appearance. However, just before being defeated by Meliodas' Full Counter, Karmadios promised, "I will return soon and save my comrades." There's no depiction of his complete death, and Meliodas himself even said he "defeated him for now," suggesting that there's still a chance that Karmadios may make an appearance in the future.
Karmadios Plays a Surprisingly Important Role
This image is part of a single illustration included in the official fan book, and at the top is a large figure that appears to be Karmadios. It appears to depict the Holy War with the Goddess Clan, but with such a prominent depiction, it doesn't seem like a character who would be eliminated after just two episodes.
Summary of Karmadios, one of the Ten Commandments of Antiquity
So far, we've introduced Karmadios, but since he left the show in episode 2, we haven't really gotten into much detail about his character or background. All we know is that he's one of the Ten Commandments that existed 3,000 years ago. If he appears again in the future, he's one character I'd love to see detailed information about.
