The Goddess Clan have been fighting the Demon Clan for over 3000 years. When you hear the name "Goddess Clan," you might think of them as "allies of justice" or "holy beings," but the Goddess Clan that appears in The Seven Deadly Sins cannot be described as allies of justice in general. Although they are enemies of the Demon Clan who are trying to destroy the world, they cannot be said to be allies of humans either. That is the "Goddess Clan" that appears in The Seven Deadly Sins. In this article, we will introduce the quirky Goddess Clan!

The Goddess Clan TOP! The Supreme God that Unites the Goddess Clan!

Supreme God Standing Picture

First up is the Supreme God of the Goddess Clan! Unfortunately, her name and face have not been revealed, but she is the TOP of the Goddess Clan, having given the four archangels a special power called "Grace". She is also Elizabeth's mother, and the one who cursed Elizabeth as punishment for helping the Demon Clan. The higher the rank of the Goddess Clan, the more feathers they have, but the Supreme God has 16 feathers on his back.

The heroine is a Goddess Clan? Elizabeth's true identity!

Elizabeth in her Goddess form

Elizabeth is the main heroine of this work and has been with Meliodas since the beginning of the story. She can use magic to heal the injured, so I think everyone knew she would become a key character later on, but her true identity is a Goddess... and she is also the daughter of the Supreme God. As you can see, she has four wings, and if the number of wings increases according to ability, it can be seen that she has the same abilities as the four archangels.

Ludociel, the four archangels who unite the Goddess tribe

Ludociel standing picture

Ludociel is the leader among the four archangels. He usually has his eyes closed, giving off an air of ease, and exudes a gentle and kind aura. However, his personality is one of the most cold-hearted among the Goddess tribe. He has a particularly strong hatred for the Demon tribe, and will use any means necessary to eradicate them.

Ludociel takes over Margaret's body

Ludociel takes over Margaret's body

Margaret said she would endure anything to get Gildarts back, but instead of fulfilling her promise, Ludociel borrowed Margaret's body and headed to the battlefield. The reason he borrowed her body was because his own body had not yet been fully reconstructed, and he needed a body to serve as a vessel. However, if Ludociel, who has the power of the four archangels, continued to use his grace, his human body would inevitably be destroyed. Given Ludociel's character, would he keep his promises to humans...?

The key character of the story! Mael, the Goddess, is an unexpected character!

Estarossa in pain

The current leader of the four archangels is Ludociel, but in terms of ability, his younger brother Mael is said to be superior. Mael is said to have been killed by the demons in the past, which is also Ludociel's anger towards the demons (especially the Ten Commandments). However, Mael is actually alive. Gowther's scheme manipulated the memories of all beings, including Mael, and made him recognize him as one of the Ten Commandments, named "Estarossa."

The resurrected Mael confronts Zeldris with overwhelming power!

Mael fighting Zeldris

After regaining all his memories from Estarossa and returning to his true self, he confronts Zeldris, the leader of the Ten Commandments. Mael's grace is the sun. When you think of "sun," you may remember Escanor from The Seven Deadly Sins, and his abilities also increase as the time approaches noon.

A goddess!? Sariel, one of the four archangels, is an incredibly beautiful woman.

Sariel, who borrows a human body

Following Elizabeth, a beautiful angel with heroine-level cuteness and outstanding style has appeared! I would love to see her become a regular character right away, but she is also one of the four archangels. In fact, this body belongs to a girl named Sorasido, who was dying of an illness, and she borrowed it in exchange for curing her illness. It grows rapidly with Sariel's magic, and has become like this.

The Goddess Sariel's true identity is a childlike appearance like King

Sariel's true identity

So what does Sariel actually look like? He looks about the same age as King. He looks like a boy, but since he's a child, his gender could be either male or female... Considering that Ludociel used Margaret's body as a vessel, it seems normal for a man to use a woman's body as a vessel. Needless to say, his abilities are top class among the Goddess. He also has a loyal side, such as returning Sorasid's body as promised.

Just like a demon!? The scary appearance of one of the four archangels, Tarmiel

The creepy-looking Tarmiel

When you first saw him, many of you probably thought, "This guy is a demon, right?" (laughs) Tarmiel has a clearly sinister aura and multiple heads. No matter how you look at him, he doesn't look like a good guy. However, when it comes to his friends, he has a kind heart, and in the battle with Mael, his kindness becomes a hindrance and he and his friends are driven into a difficult situation...

The first goddess to appear. Nero Busta

Summoned Nero Busta

Nero Busta, the Goddess Clan's God Soldier Captain, is "big" in many ways. As you can see, she is a beautiful woman with an outstanding figure. She was supposed to be a special being summoned by Denzel at the cost of his own life as a trump card to fight the Ten Commandments... but she was a brilliant pushover and was instantly killed by Derieri. She was forced to withdraw from the battlefield.

A defector from the Goddess Clan? Jenna & Zanelli

The two look surprised

The two live as the heads of the druids, but as Meliodas points out, their true identities are the Goddess Clan. The two became skeptical of the Goddess Clan's methods and defected. Jenna (left) is the energetic one, and Zanelli (right) is the quiet one. By the way, Jenna just likes the Seven Deadly Sins, but Zaneri seems to have special feelings for Meliodas...

Summary of the Goddesses in The Seven Deadly Sins

Elizabeth Awakens

So far, I have introduced the Goddesses, but there are good Goddesses and bad Goddesses. Rather than being allies of humans, they simply seem to be enemies of the Demons. Of course, there are kind-hearted Goddesses, but when it comes to the Ten Commandments, the Demons also have various ways of thinking, so it seems that it is not possible to say that only one side is bad.
