When it comes to anime, there are all kinds of famous quotes! Naturally, The Quintessential Quintuplets is filled with quotes that range from funny to slightly touching, as well as some great quotes left behind by the author. This time, we've carefully selected 10 of those quotes and ranked them for you!
10th Place: "What Do I Want?"

Our pick for 10th place is this line from Yotsuba. While it may seem trivial, it's actually a line she came up with because she was always thinking about her sisters and couldn't think of anything she wanted. It was a line typical of the kind Yotsuba, who knows what her sisters like and what they want, but doesn't know what she wants.
What Yotsuba Really Wanted
The two jump off the swing, provoking Fuutarou to see if he can do it too. Fuutarou takes a big leap with all his might... but only his shoes, and he ends up spinning around on the swing. Fuutarou laughs at how ridiculous it is. It seems that smile is exactly what Yotsuba wanted.
No. 9: "What's important isn't where we are, but that we're all together."

No. 9 is also a famous quote from Yotsuba, but it seems that it was something her late mother had told her. The honest Yotsuba seems to have remembered those words and never forgot them, and even when there were various problems, she would say with a rare serious expression, "It's definitely more fun when all five of us are together."
8th place: "I shouldn't fall in love with you any more..."

In 8th place is this line from Ichika, who is torn between her feelings for Fuutarou and Miku's, who she knows. Everyone around her makes a big fuss over a minor hand injury, but when Fuutaro notices the injury, he just laughs and says, "You're clumsy after all," and then says, "Be careful." Ichika is touched by his attitude, and while she supports Miku, she finds herself growing more and more fond of Fuutaro.
After that, Ichika finally gets serious.

Ichika had heard from Miku that if she got the highest score out of the five sisters, she would confess her feelings to Fuutarou. However, in her test results, Ichika surpassed Miku and achieved the highest score out of the five sisters. Ichika stopped Miku from confessing her feelings and came first. Her smile made it seem like she was in serious mode and saw Miku as a rival.
7th Place: "That's me. Too bad for you."

In 7th place is this line from when Nino confesses to Fuutarou: In the past, she had said, "There's at least one girl in the world that even a guy like you would fall in love with," and when she confessed, she brought that up and said, "That's me. Too bad for you." This line, delivered while sweating and feeling embarrassed yet strong...it's so Nino-like and perfect.
After confessing her feelings, Nino becomes a runaway locomotive that can't be stopped!

Nino is generally a very aggressive person, even in romantic relationships. Once she confesses her feelings, she's all about the aggressive side! Sometimes, when she sees Fuutarou in a mixed bath, she wraps herself in a bath towel and joins in. He even boldly asked if he could wash her body, pretending it was a coincidence.
6th Place: "Tonight's the Campfire, Just the Two of Us"

The 6th place pick comes from a scene during a school trip. Fuutarou was supposed to dance folk dance around a campfire with Ichika, but the day before, he ended up being locked in a warehouse. So Fuutarou starts a fire, and Ichika says this when she invites him to an early campfire.
So who was holding hands at the end of the campfire?

This scene takes place the day before the campfire, so the question is whether she really did hold hands with Ichika and dance during the actual performance. The story clearly states that the person she married that day was the one she held hands with...but in fact, all five sisters were holding hands at the campfire.
5th Place: "You're Just Stupid"

In fifth place are the words of encouragement Fuutarou spoke to Satsuki, who was working hard and diligently. He probably meant it in his own way to encourage her, but... "You're Just Stupid"—those words were far too cruel. Of course, Fuutarou had no ill intentions, and even May, as expected, had an indescribable expression on her face when she heard this line.
Of course, her reaction to this line was...

You probably know what I'm talking about, but May is extremely repulsed by these derisive words. She leaves Fuutarou with her tongue sticking out and a frown on her face. It's true, anyone would do the same if someone said something like that with a serious face (because Fuutarou was serious). (lol)
4th Place: "This looks like a family photo."
Ran in fourth place is this line Raiha says when she takes a print-club photo of Fuutarou and Itsuki, holding their hands. While it certainly looks like a family photo, the fact that she says it in front of them is typical of a young Raiha. (Maybe it was strategic...) I think it's a line that Raiha, who doesn't have a mother, blurts out out of her joy at having a motherly presence.
Does Raiha really miss her mother?

Ira is delighted that the photo booth photo looks like a family photo, but at night she suggests that the three of them sleep in a "river shape" shape. Of course, she's in the middle, with Futaro, playing the father role, and Satsuki, playing the mother role, on either side. Watching the three of them, they look just like a real mother and daughter. (Though Raiha's biological father is still alive...)
3rd Place: "Yakiniku Set Meal, Without the Grilled Meat"

Our third place pick is this line from Fuutarou, which shows just how incredibly poor he is. This is the scene where he calmly orders a "yakiniku set meal without the meat" at the school cafeteria. Fuutarou devised this plan to get lunch for 200 yen. If you order rice normally it costs 200 yen, but if you order the yakiniku set meal without the meat it costs 200 yen and comes with rice, miso soup, and pickles. The lady at the cafeteria seemed used to it too, so it must be a staple for Fuutarou.

I was planning to order a yakiniku set meal (without the meat) for 200 yen, but when I saw the menu for Satsuki, who was sitting at the table across from me in the food hall, I was shocked. The 250 yen udon noodles are topped with lots of toppings, and even come with a 180 yen pudding for dessert, for a total of over 1000 yen. It's impressive that Itsuki can eat that much in the middle of the day, but it's also impressive that Futaro can remember the prices of dishes he never orders (lol).
2nd Place: "Take Responsibility"

For second place, we chose this line, which is often heard in various anime! "You have to take responsibility for this." This is one of the best scenes, as it's the first time Miku opens up to her, but this time we've ranked it among the best quotes. Fuutarou made Miku, who had always looked unmotivated up until then, say this line and make this expression. Maybe he really does have to take responsibility in many ways.
From this day on, Miku's feelings for Fuutarou intensify.

Miku was the first of the five sisters to realize that she loved Fuutarou. It all began on the day she made him utter the line, "You have to take responsibility." Even though Fuutarou didn't mean to do so and made Miku feel that way, he really needs to take responsibility for saying something like that to her. (This is a scene from "Play House.")
Number 1: The Greatest Quotes the Author Has Ever Tweeted
The Quintessential Quintuplets: Ranking of Famous Quotes

So, while there were many great quotes, the one I chose for number one isn't one that appears in the work itself, but one that the author tweeted. Honestly, I think this sentence has left everyone who has seen it with no choice but to agree (lol). Bigger is better than smaller! If the author likes bigger breasts than small ones, then there's no problem. In fact, Nino and Yotsuba, who seem to have smaller breasts, even give off a gap moe vibe.
