Episode 1 begins with Anya and Lloyd meeting and ends with Anya passing the first hurdle, the first written exam at Eden School. However, just as they've managed to pass the first hurdle, the next obstacle immediately looms: a notice of the second exam, a three-way interview. The requirement is that both parents and children must attend together, a daunting task for the Forger family, who lack a mother figure. Episode 2 begins with Lloyd's search for a mother figure.
Episode 2! Who's the Mother?!
The mother is, of all people, Frankie...?
Lloyd dresses Frankie in drag for the time being. After a moment of silence, both Lloyd and Anya criticize the idea, and Frankie's plan to become a mother is scrapped. Lloyd is forced to decide to start looking for a husband.
At Balint City Hall
The scene shifts to Balint City Hall. The female employees are discussing how a burglar broke into the building and ransacked a cabinet containing women's personal information. The conversation shifts from the three colleagues to their senior, Yoru Bryar. She's somewhat naive, and takes coffee seriously, wondering whether adding boogers to it will improve its flavor. Yoru is 27 years old, single, and doesn't seem interested in marriage, but she feels a sense of crisis when she hears that a single woman in her late twenties has been reported in the recent surge in espionage crackdowns.
Party Invitation
Later, Camilla invites Yoru to a party. She tells the single Yoru to bring a partner and leaves. Yoru has been bullied at work. That night, she receives a phone call from her younger brother, Yuri, who is concerned about her marriage. Yoru then lies and says she's going to the party with her partner. Yuri says he'll put off the promotion offer until he finds out what kind of person the other person is, and the situation is over.
Yoru's True Identity
Immediately after Yuri's call, another call comes in. After receiving news from someone calling herself the manager that a customer has arrived, Yoru heads to the Royal Hotel. There, her true identity is revealed: an assassin. Her code name is "Sleeping Beauty," and she has been taking on dirty jobs since childhood to raise Yuri without parents. After completing her mission, she notices that her dress is torn.
Lloyd's Matchmaking
It was Frankie who stole the woman's data from City Hall, as part of Lloyd's matchmaking plan. He's struggling to find a woman who meets his criteria, and his search for a partner isn't progressing. Frankie asks if they're using female spies instead of ordinary women, to which Lloyd confides that they're short-staffed in their spy-hunting efforts. Furthermore, Anya is giving Lloyd even more headaches. Her frolicking in front of the TV doesn't seem like the behavior of a young lady from a good family, so he goes shopping for clothes to at least improve his appearance.
Lloyd and Yoru's Encounter
Lloyd went to a clothing store to buy clothes for Anya, and Yoru came to get her dress repaired. There, the two met. After being caught from behind and noticed by her, Lloyd became wary. At the same time, Yoru tried to invite Lloyd out, but noticed Anya and tried to distance herself. However, Anya helped bring the two back together, and they decided to first attend a party that Yoru would be attending on Saturday.
Mission Just Before the Party
After parting ways with Yoru, Lloyd is given an additional mission. The mission involves recovering art and eliminating a smuggling ring, starting at 6:00 PM on Saturday. This happens to be the same time as the party Yoru is attending. To make it in time, Lloyd brings Franky with him and launches a quick battle. Yoru is already waiting for Lloyd at the meeting point.
Yoru Waits
However, the time passed, and Lloyd still hadn't arrived. Yoru felt that she had been toyed with, but she decided to attend the party alone for Yuri's sake. Camilla and the others showered her with cruel words. Yoru saw the people attending the party, and decided that she didn't deserve it, so she decided to leave, but the door slammed open.
Lloyd's Appearance
Lloyd appears. Battered and bleeding from his head, he's here to keep his promise to Yoru. However, in his daze, he accidentally introduces himself as Yoru's husband. In an attempt to embarrass him, Camilla pretends to lose control and throws the gratin bowl, but Yoru easily catches it with her leg.
Something to be proud of
Camilla, desperate to embarrass Yoru, reveals the details of the job she had before joining City Hall. It was a shady job providing massages at a hotel, but in reality it was a hitman's job. Lloyd praised her for her work and said it was wonderful. Enduring such a tough job for someone or something requires more determination than average. Lloyd told her it was something to be proud of. Only someone like Lloyd, who works as a spy, could say such words.
Attack
The two leave the party venue, but are attacked by remnants of a smuggling organization. Yoru is convinced by explaining that he is a patient, but they end up fighting the remnants. Lloyd and Yoru perform an impromptu but coordinated attack, fending off the attacking remnants.
Proposal?
Under these circumstances, Yor proposes marriage to Lloyd. She suggests they create a fake family for their mutual benefit. Lloyd pulls the pin from a grenade and places it on her ring finger, using it as a ring. Thus, the two begin their life together as partners.
An Unusual Family
There was an unusual family living at 128 Balint Park Road. The father was a spy, the mother was an assassin, and the daughter was a psychic. All three of them hid their identities and lived under the same roof for their own benefit. Next up was the parent-teacher conference at Eden School. And so the story of SPY×FAMILY began to unfold.
