The industry's first shooting manga, which will begin airing in October, was even featured on the variety show Wednesday Downtown, where they said, "Every minor sport has been made into a manga at least once." Its minority appeal was combined with the noble genre of "high school girls doing something," resulting in its anime adaptation. The characters in this work, apart from the protagonists, are all unique and fascinating. Shooting is a sport with a small number of competitors and a small world, so supporting characters often make reappearances. We'd like to introduce you to one of these fascinating supporting characters, the Kirishima Daiichi Shooting Club!
Kirishima Daiichi High School Shooting Club Captain "Asakura Rei"
She's the captain of the shooting club at Kirishima Daiichi High School, one of the top three high schools in the prefecture. She's known for her strict and stoic personality, and while she's beautiful, her constant frown gives her an unapproachable aura. Her shooting skills are excellent, and she's one of the top in the prefecture and a nationally recognized athlete. I said earlier that Kirishima Daiichi is one of the top three, but in fact, only three other high schools have participated in the competition until the main characters join. Shooting is a minor sport, after all, so it can't be helped.
The Stoic Toilet Guardian
His quiet, strict, and intimidating appearance might lead you to believe he's mentally strong, but in fact, he has a routine of locking himself in the bathroom before tournaments to increase his concentration. His personality is similar to the nervous Mayumura of the major leagues. He's talented, but he's strict with himself and others and has poor communication skills, so he exudes a noble, solitary aura that makes him seem unapproachable. However, in reality, that's not the case; he's just a needy guy who just doesn't have anyone to talk to.
A Woman Who Can't Do Anything But Shooting
She may seem like a flawless, perfect superhuman, but in reality, after trying her hand at every sport, including volleyball and kendo, the only one she's good at is shooting. In other words, she's terrible at sports. However, Hikari, who approaches her, is also a woman who can't do anything but shoot, so they hit it off.
Kirishima First High School Shooting Club "Enomoto Komachi"
A member of the Kirishima First High School Shooting Club's team competitions. A second-year student, she always wears a mask, suggesting she is hiding some hidden strength, but removing it doesn't seem to have any particular meaning. Those around her continue to have mysterious expectations of her, making it impossible for her to remove it. Later, when she reappears, she takes off her mask and is freed from the mysterious curse, but her hay fever sets in and she is ultimately unable to remove it.
Switching to Air Rifle
After the prefectural preliminaries in high school, she decided to switch to air rifle and reunited with the Chidori High School shooting club for an air rifle training course. However, she failed the training course twice. Since then, as she is one of the few female high school air rifle competitors in the prefecture, they have frequently met up for practice sessions and appear to continue to keep in touch.
Kirishima Daiichi High School Shooting Club "Shio Sanada"
The second-year ace of the Kirishima Daiichi High School Shooting Club. She respects the stoic and solitary Asakura, who is characterized by her ponytail. While she is a skilled marksman, she also has a mysterious routine where she nibbles on bananas and other foods during competitions to increase her concentration. However, she sees this as no joke and takes her shooting very seriously.
[Rifle is Beautiful] Kirishima Daiichi High School Shooting Club Summary
The members of the Kirishima Daiichi High School Shooting Club are both rivals and fellow competitors competing in the same sport within the prefecture. While at first you might think they're just rivals and won't appear again, captain Asakura and second-year Enomoto Komachi appear surprisingly often, making them noteworthy characters in the anime. Because shooting is a minor sport, the world is small, which makes it interesting to see various characters make reappearances. The anime "Rifle is Beautiful" will begin airing in the fall of 2019!
