However, he seems distracted. Unable to bear the sight, Ruka blindfolds Kazuya and leads him by the hand toward a certain location. When she removes the blindfold, she finds herself in a love hotel. Ruka approaches Kazuya with all her might, but Kazuya takes refuge in the bathroom at the last moment. Ruka's heart rate drops to 91, and she seems to regain her senses as she exits the hotel and collapses. However, before leaving, she happens to see Kazuya's New Year's plans on her smartphone, and so she takes action.
Ruka declares herself Kazuya's girlfriend
At the love hotel, Ruka learns that Kazuya, his grandmother, and Chizuru will be going to visit the shrine for the first time of the year at 10 AM on January 3rd. She suddenly appears before Kazuya and joins him. When Kazuya's grandmother asks about their relationship, she replies that she's Chizuru's friend and that they've been like sisters ever since they were little, but Ruka flatly denies it, saying, "She's my girlfriend."
