【HULU】Top 10 Winter 2018 Anime: Junji Ito Collection

Junji Ito Collection

Topping the top 10 is, surprisingly, "Junji Ito Collection." It's truly scary. I watched it alone at night, and it was a disaster (lol). Junji Ito is a horror manga artist, and he is so influenced by Kazuo Umezu that he is considered a master of horror manga. As you'll see, everything about it, from the illustrations to the content, is terrifying. He is the Japanese manga artist whose horror manga has been adapted into the screen the most. If you love scary stuff, this is a must-watch!

【HULU】Top 9 Winter 2018 Anime: Sanrio Boys

Sanrio Boys

Next up, a completely different series in the top 9, is "Sanrio Boys." It's a story about boys who love Sanrio, the company that still produces many popular characters. Isn't it a bit too original? (lol) Each boy has a different favorite character, and you can meet characters you used to love, or even ones you'd forgotten. Perhaps it's a soothing work. Some people might be put off by the idea of boys liking Sanrio, but I think there are not many people who can confidently say that they love the things they love. Watch these boys reexamine themselves through Sanrio characters!

【HULU】Top 8 Winter 2018 Anime: Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

Our top 8 is the stomach-churning title "Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens." Just looking at the title, you'd imagine it to be something like the gourmet anime "Aji Shinbo," but it's completely different. In fact, most of the characters have secret identities and work as assassins. You'd never guess that with a title like that, right? (lol) Not only is it action-packed, but the voice actors are also superb! That's another reason why we recommend it.

【HULU】Top 7 Winter 2018 Anime: Record of Grancrest War

Record of Grancrest War

Top 7 is "Record of Grancrest War." This war tale, featuring protagonist Theo Cornello and heroine Siluca Meletes, is full of romance, magic, and slapstick. The costumes and worldview are also fantastic, so you're sure to get hooked. Theo's strong sense of justice is cool, while Siluca's forceful, brilliant personality is brilliant. The characters are also charming. Enjoy this anime based on a popular light novel!

【HULU】Top 6 Winter 2018 Anime: Pop Team Epic

Pop Team Epic

The classic anime "Pop Team Epic" is in the top 6. Contrary to its cute high school girl image, this slapstick comedy features two very unique characters. Pop Team Epic is sure to become addictive, but the voice actors change every episode. That's another element of the show's playfulness and fun. You'll have to watch to find out. The story unfolds at a brisk pace, and by the end, you'll be so engrossed in just one episode that you'll be left wondering, "What was that all about?" (lol)

【HULU】Top 5 Winter 2018 Anime: Darling in the Franxx

Darling in the Franxx

"Darling in the Franxx," known for its captivating robot combat, makes the top five. This anime, with its slightly erotic, thrilling battle scenes and somewhat melancholic atmosphere, is so well-made that even the staff, some of whom worked on Evangelion, are incredibly passionate about it. So, as you'd expect, the robots and battle scenes are incredibly cool. The theme song is performed by the popular singer Mika Nakashima, and you'll be captivated from the very beginning. Look forward to the joyful, sad, and slightly frustrating emotions of children raised to fight.

【HULU】Top 4 Winter 2018 Anime: Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls

Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls

The period anime "Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls" makes it into the top four. It's so manly it could be called a "manly anime"! This is the sequel to the hugely popular series, Basilisk. It tells the sad and fleeting story of two brothers destined to marry. Of course, there are some scary battle scenes, but they're not too scary. It's a thrilling anime that will have you on the edge of your seat, wondering what's going to happen next!

【HULU】Top 3 Winter 2018 Anime: Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc

Cardcaptor Sakura

It's finally back! Coming in as the top 3 is "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc." The ever-popular Sakura returns as a middle school student. And it's not over yet (lol). It seemed like her mission as a Sakura Card had come to an end, but the card became invisible and lost its power. From there, Sakura and her friends' story began anew. The series restarts with a ton of excitement, including familiar characters who remain the same even in junior high school, nostalgic yet new battle costumes, and new enemies.

[HULU] Top 2 Winter 2018 Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments

The Seven Deadly Sins

Top 2 is "The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments," from the hugely popular manga. Its popularity has never waned since its serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine began in 2012. This time, we're looking at the Revival of the Commandments arc of the Seven Deadly Sins series. Not only are the battles intense, but the commander's carefree personality and Elizabeth's perfect heroine qualities are still there (lol). This time, the enemy is also quite formidable, making for a gripping story.

【HULU】Top 1 Winter 2018 Anime: Overlord 2

Overlord 2

Our top pick is "Overlord 2," based on the hugely popular light novel. It's so popular, I've only watched up to the third season so far. I'm up to the third season, and I can still enjoy it without getting bored! This dark hero anime stars Ainz Ooal Gown, the ultimate villain. While he never acts out of righteousness, his humanity is occasionally apparent, making you want to root for him. The other characters are also incredibly charming, so it's no wonder this series is a hit. I highly recommend it.

Enjoy it on HULU!
