The third season of A Certain Magical Index will finally begin in October 2018. We'll be able to meet Index and the others again. It's been seven years since the second season, so many people may be hearing about it for the first time. It's a very popular light novel series, and there are many spin-off works as part of the "A Certain" series. This is Accelerator. He is a boy with psychic powers who lives in Academy City. His powers make him the highest of the Level 5s (a level classification based on the psychic's ability), of which only seven exist in Academy City. He's quite strong! He's a slender boy with silver hair, slanted eyes, and a white sclera. Although he's handsome, he sometimes goes into a psychopathic state during battle and does whatever he wants. However, his skills mean he can instantly kill any psychic in his vicinity.

This is his nickname, "Accelerator." He can redirect external attacks and attack the opponent, as well as defend against guns and physical attacks. In everyday life, he uses this ability as a "reflex," allowing him to use it without thinking. As he is the strongest ability user in Academy City, he is targeted by many people, but each time he kills them instantly, making him truly the strongest in Academy City.

The "Absolute Ability Evolution Experiment" is an experiment conducted by the science team using a clone of the series' sub-heroine, Misaka Mikoto, who is also a Level 5. It was an inhumane experiment in which Accelerator, the strongest Level 5, was forced to fight and kill 20,000 Misaka clones (called "sisters"), shifting him to Level 6. Accelerator participated in this experiment, killing around 10,000 clones. However, he also struggled with the loneliness that comes with being the strongest and at the top, such as by talking to his clones before fighting and making comments that dampen their motivation to fight. But it was a certain girl who changed Accelerator!

This is the girl! Does she look like someone? Yes, she is. A smaller version of Misaka Mikoto. She is an incomplete clone of Misaka, estimated to be 10 years old, and is known as "Uihime" or "Last Order." Created in No. 20001, she was designed to prevent rebellions among all the sisters and to act as their superior entity, allowing her to be commanded via the Misaka Network. Because she is incomplete, unlike the other sisters, she is emotionally rich, childlike, and friendly. She is incredibly cute. She became attached to Accelerator when he happened to be walking by and asked him for help. At first she ignored him and was rude, but now they live together, buying and cooking meals (?!). She also acts as a guardian, and when Last Order is in danger, she makes up some strange excuse as if she wasn't there to help, and has become a very helpful and kind older brother.

Accelerator, isn't he a handsome guy? At first, he had a noticeable psychopathic vibe, but now, thanks to the power of Last Order (though it returns when it comes to combat), he's become a very human and interesting character. Both his appearance and his bizarre personality are very popular. The contrast with his attitude towards Last Order is great. He's the perfect tsundere! That's why he plays a major role in the story! He's often referred to as the second protagonist, both in battles and as a key figure in the story. He has a very high opinion of himself, hates to lose and has a lot of pride, but when he plays the villain he really adds to the excitement. After all, villains have to be strong.

The voice actor is Nobuhiko Okamoto, a highly popular voice actor. He is a veteran voice actor with many leading roles. He often plays insane characters like Accelerator, but he also excels at portraying characters with a gentle, human touch. He is a former (currently) chuunibyou sufferer who once thought of himself as a "wind user." He is the perfect voice actor for Accelerator. Taking an interest in voice actors is also a way to enjoy anime.
