Though he's grown a little, Chibita's small size, true to his name, is still characteristic of his character. However, in the first episode of the Osomatsu-san TV series, this identity is shattered. Chibita appears as a giant. The only "short element" remaining about him is the thing between his legs.

Osomatsu, feeling down because his younger brothers don't pay him, arrives at Chibita's oden shop. Angry that Chibita hasn't paid his bill, Chibita says he won't let him have a drink until he pays it all. However, seeing how depressed he looked, I couldn't help but offer him a beer, saying "Just one drink," and then I even offered him sake and oden.

After listening to Osomatsu's troubles, Chibita begins to scold him, saying that it's all his fault. At the end, he offered him some water and told him to go home, saying nicely, "Don't worry about your younger brother, you eldest son." However, Osomatsu was not impressed at all and got angry, saying he was glad he was an only child. In the end, Chibita only got paid 8 yen that day.

As usual, the sextuplets eat and drink as much as they want at Chibita's oden stand. However, immediately afterward, when Jyushimatsu praised the oden and asked for a refill, he blushed and said, "Take your time."

Chibita's final resort against the sextuplets, who refused to pay their bills, was to kidnap Karamatsu. However, his attempts to call for a ransom go unsuccessfully, and he ends up encouraging Karamatsu at an izakaya. Chibita then tries to burn Karamatsu alive in front of the Matsuno family home, but is once again ignored, so he gives up and leaves Karamatsu there and leaves.

Mistakenly believing Karamatsu wants to become his apprentice, Chibita begins to teach him the basics of oden, but his lessons are beyond the comprehension of an ordinary person. He explains how oden has triggered many wars and is known as the king of the culinary world, and then begins preparing the oden. At the end, he says he'll taste it and jumps naked into the oden.

After being transformed into a woman along with Iyami by a potion given to them by Dekapan, Chibita transforms into a beautiful girl with short stature and bright eyes, and begins to extort money from the sextuplets. Even the sextuplets, who don't pay at the oden restaurant, are captivated by their cuteness. Ichimatsu, in particular, is deeply attached to them, and when their true identities are revealed, he causes them a terrible experience.

Though initially wary, Chibita gradually begins to enjoy the date, and the two eventually head to the beach. However, what awaited him there was a tragic ending...
