Will Bocchi be able to make friends when he enters middle school? Today, we'd like to introduce the charm of Sotoka Rakita, a classmate of Ichiri Bocchi, the protagonist of "A Lonely Life in XX."

Sotoka Rakita, a foreigner with blonde hair, blue eyes, and an incredible figure, seems to be a popular student who attracts attention from everyone at school. When Sotoka was walking down the hallway, people would say things like, "Look, that's Sotoka from Class 1. She's beautiful," "She's shining," and "She has a great figure." One day, after she started making a lot of origami shuriken, a female student was saying, "Look, that's Sotoka from Class 1," and "You can tell she's radiant even from behind," when Sotoka noticed their gazes and turned around and asked, "Do you want some shuriken?" and began handing out the shuriken she had folded out of origami. Students then began to appear around Sotoka, saying things like, "She's handing something out," "She's so cute," and "I want to talk to her too."

Sotokarakita mistook Ichiri Bocchi for a ninja. Sotoka seems to admire ninjas, and there was a scene where he mistook Bocchi, who, like a ninja, usually hides his presence but sometimes moves quickly, for a ninja and kept searching for him. However, Bocchi's behavior was due to his extreme shyness, and when Bocchi told him he was a ninja, he replied "no" and left. After that, Sotoka seemed somewhat depressed. He even sighed and muttered, "Ninja..." Sotoka, wanting to cheer Sotoka up, made a shuriken out of origami and threw it at him. When Sotoka opened the origami shuriken, it said, "I'm not a ninja," and "Would you like to be friends?" However, Sotoka seemed to think about it a lot after Bocchi told her he wasn't a ninja, and ultimately came to the conclusion that "ninjas are a secret group." It seemed she still thought of Bocchi as a ninja.
④ Friendly Personality

Sotokarakita, originally from overseas, has a friendly personality and is quick to embrace others. After mistaking Ichiri Bocchi for a ninja and becoming his apprentice, he immediately hugs Bocchi whenever he sees him. Furthermore, Sotoka began talking to Bocchi, Sunao Nako, and Honjo Aru some time after enrolling, and quickly became a part of their group. Just before summer vacation, Bocchi wanted to hang out with everyone but couldn't bring himself to ask, and Sotoka cheerfully hugged him and said, "Master, let's play with Sotoka!"

Sotoka Rakita, who came from overseas, seems to be fluent in Japanese. One day, Sotoka went to karaoke with her classmates, Ichiri Bocchi, Sunao Nako, and Honjo Aru. As they were discussing who should sing first, Aru said, "Let's start with Bocchi, who's singing for the first time," and handed the microphone to Bocchi. Bocchi, remembering that at karaoke he has to sing in front of others, tried to sing somehow, but gave up, saying, "It's impossible." Aru then asked, "So who's going to sing?", but Nako said she'd be happy just to listen. Sotoka then said that she didn't understand Japanese songs, so that was fine, and Aru was surprised, saying, "Am I the only one singing!?" Sotoka then said with a smug look on her face that she had memorized the interjections. Everyone immediately tried to listen to them, but the interjections Sotoka had memorized were Okinawa-only interjections such as "I-ya sa-sa-sa" and "A-i-ya, A-i-ya!"

However, one day, while going to a karaoke bar with Bocchi, Sunao Nako, and Honjo Aru, Sotoka learns that Bocchi will not be able to make up with Kai unless he becomes friends with everyone in his class. Sotoka asks Nako and Aru, "Is it okay to be friends while being Bocchi's apprentice?" Aru happily responds, "Can we be friends?" "But Sotoka has a reason for learning ninjutsu," she says, adding, "It's family circumstances." It seems like she has some complicated family circumstances.

It seems Sotoka is working on something, so Aru asks, "How's it going?" to which Sotoka replies, "Do you want to see my skills?" Sotoka shows him an origami shuriken. "I've gotten good at folding them." He looks happy. The origami shuriken was one that Bocchi had made once in an attempt to become friends with Sotoka. On the way home after the closing ceremony. Ichiri Bocchi had tried to make new friends before summer vacation, but failed. Furthermore, Sunao Nako, Honjo Al, and Sotoka Rakita had been trying to invite them to hang out together over the summer holidays, but she had been feeling negative, thinking that she was someone who shouldn't even be thinking about hanging out. Sotoka then invited her, saying, "Master, let's hang out with Sotoka," and Al agreed, saying, "Hey, don't try to leave me out, okay?" While Al listed summer fun things to do, saying, "I'll play alone. The beach, the pool, festivals," Sotoka listed things that are unrelated to summer, saying, "Autumn leaves, snowboarding, cherry blossom viewing."

Sotokarakita calls Ichiri Bocchi his master. Even though Bocchi once revealed that he's not a ninja, Sotoka still seems to believe in him. Sotoka seems to be loyal to his master, Bocchi. When Bocchi comes to karaoke with his friends for the first time and jumps up and down with joy, he imitates her. When Bocchi, influenced by discipline committee member Yoshiko Kurai, speaks with a firm tone, "That's right," Sotoka responds with a similar expression, "That's right, isn't it?"

Sotokarakita seems to love his master, Ichiri Bocchi. She seems to have a habit of immediately hugging and lifting up Bocchi whenever she sees him, but after being scolded by Sunao Nako, Bocchi's first friend since entering junior high school, she seems to be careful not to hug him too tightly. Furthermore, when Bocchi is trying to make new friends and is concerned about Kurai Yoshiko, the discipline committee member, she says, "Master, do your best to chat with Kurai-san today!" and then moves away, even though she herself wants to talk to Bocchi.
