"Yuru Camp△" is a popular anime that depicts the laid-back daily lives and relaxed outdoor activities of high school girls. This anime also has many memorable scenes featuring beautifully drawn scenery and unique characters. Here, we'd like to rank 10 of these memorable scenes.
No. 10: The First Morning at the Campsite

In Episode 3, Nadeshiko spends the night at a campsite for the first time. Waking up early, she watches the sunrise over Mount Fuji. Unlike the fantastical Mount Fuji that Nadeshiko saw at night in episode 1, this one has a majestic, somehow grandeur to it, and even though she is half asleep, Nadeshiko is captivated by it, and she begins to love Mount Fuji. This is also the catalyst that makes her even more obsessed with camping. It is also a memorable scene as it is Nadeshiko's first (proper) camping experience.
9th Place: Hot Springs with Spectacular Views

Yuru Camp△ has a surprising number of bathing scenes. I'm grateful for that (laughs). The hot spring scene in episode 5, where the three members of the Outdoor Activities Circle bathe in the hot springs, was particularly memorable. Soaking in an open-air bath with a spectacular view... I'm truly envious. A winter hot spring is also a fantastic setting. I'd love to visit a hot spring resort like this.
8th Place: Chikuwa Appears

Everyone's favorite dog, Chikuwa, showed up at Christmas camp dressed in bunny ears, and viewers were sure to feel just as comforted as Nadeshiko and Rin. Just when you thought he'd run straight to them, he suddenly dove into the blanket where Toba-sensei was sleeping, which was adorable. It was also heartwarming to see him playing with everyone afterwards.
7th place: A cool camper appears! His true identity is...

In episode 6, while scouting the campsite, Chiaki encounters a cool, elderly male camper who is truly picturesque. His appearance, grilling meat in a skillet in front of a bonfire...a wilderness that's a stark contrast to the lively high school girl camping. The man notices Chiaki and casually offers her some meat, asking, "Would you like some?" It made me think, "If I'm going to grow old, I want to look like this..." This scene is original to the anime, but it seems that this man is Rin's grandfather. He's so cool and handsome. By the way, the voice actor is Otsuka Akio, the narrator known as the Voice of Heaven. That's also cool...
6th place: Dog Tackle!

In episode 2, Rin spots two dogs while exploring the foot of the mountain campground. One of them tackles her with a sprint, leaving her speechless. The first dog couldn't reach Rin, so she let her guard down, and then this tackle hits her. Dog tackles are surprisingly effective, aren't they? (laughs) However, she seems to be enjoying herself, as she later sends a message to Ena saying, "The dogs almost ate me for lunch."
5th Place: Rin Gets New Camping Gear

Rin bought a compact campfire grill and accidentally brought it to school, so she had to assemble it there. Holding the completed campfire grill in her hands, Rin's usually cool face breaks into a gentle smile. In the manga version, her face is round and deformed, but this is also well-reproduced in the anime. This is a scene that shows the cute side of the cool Rin-chan.
4th Place: The Bond Between Nadeshiko and Rin

One night at Christmas camp, while the other four are asleep, Nadeshiko and Rin chat while looking up at the night sky. Their relationship began with a chance encounter, but it grew into a friendship that led to them attending the same school and camping together. They are two completely different types of people, but perhaps that is why they have become such good friends, sharing what the other lacks. Rin, who doesn't like camping in groups, seems to have realized the fun of group camping, as she nods and says "Yeah, I guess" when Nadeshiko says "Let's camp again next year." This is Rin's last "dere" scene in the anime, and it's a heartwarming one. I'm sure the two will have many more fun camping trips in the future.
3rd Place: Morning Welcomes Together

In stark contrast to the night spent chatting and watching movies at Christmas camp, the morning passes by at a leisurely pace. Nadeshiko and Rin prepare breakfast, and the four of them wake up and begin chatting. This scene passes leisurely, as if basking in the afterglow of yesterday's camping trip, and is directed in a way that seems to allow the viewer to bask in the afterglow of all 12 episodes. It is a beautiful scene befitting the final episode, as it seems to convey the message that time passes even when you don't want it to end, but a beautiful morning will surely come.
2nd Place: My First Up-Close View of Mt. Fuji

Ranked second is the scene from Episode 1 where Nadeshiko sees Mt. Fuji at night for the first time. Until now, Nadeshiko had only seen Mt. Fuji from afar, so after moving to Yamanashi, she decides to get a closer look. She gets lost there, but by chance meets Rin and is saved, and finally sees Mount Fuji. Seeing the mystical moonlit Mount Fuji at night, Nadeshiko is moved and left speechless. This scene is beautifully depicted and the music is memorable. It was the trigger that got Nadeshiko hooked on camping. Some people who don't normally watch anime also became interested in Laid-Back Camp△ after seeing this scene. It could also be said that this scene helped make the anime more widely accepted.
1st Place: Two Night Skies for Two

1st place goes to the scene in Episode 5 where Nadeshiko and Rin exchange photos of the night sky. Nadeshiko took a photo from Eastwood Campground in Yamanashi, while Rin took one from Takabocchi Plateau in Nagano. Looking at the night view from the other campsite, they both remark, "It's so beautiful!" This scene symbolizes the anime's theme of "We're all connected in the sky," demonstrating that bonds remain even when we're far apart.
Is Bonds the Hidden Theme?

So far, we've introduced scenes ranging from funny and humorous scenes involving drugs to beautiful scenery. While there are many memorable scenes, perhaps the one most commonly seen in this anime is "bonds." Nadeshiko and Rin, the members of the Outdoor Club, the students and teachers... Their relationships began with a chance encounter, but they never break, and as they spend the same time under the same sky, their bond grows stronger... Perhaps this is the kind of bond the show is depicting. Perhaps this is also reflected in the anime's catchphrase, "We're surely connected by the sky." If you watch the anime with this in mind, you might see a different picture.
