KonoSuba! features three main heroines: the goddess Darkness, the Aqua Crusader, and Megumin, the Archwizard. Megumin is the most popular of the three, and her cards and other merchandise fetch high prices. Her popularity even spawned a spin-off series, "Explosion in this Wonderful World!" (KonoSuba: Explosions in this Wonderful World!). This time, we'll explore the secret of her popularity and explore Megumin's appearance and personality.
Megumin of the Crimson Demon Clan
Megumin of the Crimson Demon Clan loves explosive magic. One of the defining features of the Crimson Demons is their unique naming sense. Unlike Aqua and Darkness, their names are quite unusual. Of course, this isn't limited to Megumin; her mother is Yuiyui and her father is Hyoizaburo... They also have a tendency to give strange names to their pets and weapons, naming their pet Chomusuke and Kazuma's weapon Chunchunmaru. Megumin, who comes from such a strange family, is still out there somewhere today firing off explosive magic.

Megumin loves explosive magic, but it has a drawback: a single cast consumes all of her stamina, rendering her unable to even walk. Since Megumin collapses after each explosive spell, Kazuma has to carry her on his back to retrieve her. Darkness is undoubtedly the strongest, but Kazuma carries her on his back in most scenes. (It seems Kazuma had ulterior motives as well...) Kazuma and Megumin really are good friends.
